Cool, guess i'll get DMC4+DMC:DMC for PC and the rest for PS2 then.
Never played any games in this series, gonna start from the beginning and hopefully finish each of them in order.
I'd say go DMC3, DMC1, DMC4.
You can skip DMC2 cuz it's not that good, and you can play DmC if you're curious but it's mediocre compared to the others

Wait, why should I play DMC3 before 1?
If 1 isn't as good as 3, wouldn't it be a lot easier to go from 1 to 3, and not the other way around?

3 is a prequel if I remember right.

If you're playing them in story order, it's 3, 1, 4, 2.
It's your call, really, but that's how the story goes.
so is DMC:DMC afaik
No, DmC: Devil May Cry is a reboot and has nothing to do with the main series, so it's its own standalone thing.

Cool.
I think i'll just play them in order of release, generally works better in my experience.
I personally would suggest starting with DMC4.
It's way more accessible than 3.
DMC4 is more accessible because it starts with Nero, who is pretty much an easy mode on his own.
If you start with DMC3 then switch to DMC4 you may get bored by the first half of the game.
If you really care about the canon or just want more DMC, watch the anime series as well. It takes place between DMC1 and DMC4.
Heh, I remember the anime series. It was actually pretty cool but a little bit cheesy, of course the games are too so I guess it's fitting but the anime felt a little moreso.
Why do you need to do that ID thing for IntKeys, seems dodgy.

A lot of key sites request it, the main reason being they want proof that you are who you say you are to keep them from selling keys to stolen or otherwise fraudulent credit cards, because unlike your legitimate digital distributor they would have a much harder time revoking a key since they basically sell bulk physical copy keys from other regions.
So I pre-ordered the game from Gamestop on 360 and got a code for the Vergil's Downfall DLC that comes out this month. Then I beat and sold the game forgetting that I had it :v:
Basically, I'm wondering if anyone would like to trade for it. It's going to be I think $10 when it comes out, I'd give the code away for a game on steam if anyone's interested.
Bloody Palace is out, it's pretty easy. Also the Vergil DLC will be around $8 but I doubt anyone will pay that for a code.
Did they really have to base it off of the Devil May Cry 4 bloody palace? The one in 3 was so much better.
I beat DMC4 yesterday and started on Son of Sparda.
Already having trouble, not looking forward to Dante Must Die.
But I will persevere.
Also bummed out that DMC4 is probably the last we'll see of Uncle Dante.
And yeah I'm inclined to agree, the 9999 level one in DMC3 with no time limit was the better one. You could just go at it at your own leisure.
