• Good mouse for gaming?

I'd go with a cheap mouse, but they're not big enough for my hand. The G5 is BARELY big enough. Considering the MX Revolution.
Mx518
Better mouse doesn't make you aim better. If you can play, you can play on 5$ mouse
A better mouse can make you aim better. if you have ever used a "gaming" mouse then you would know that the higher levels of precision are a great benefit while doing precise tasks (photoshop, aiming, that kind of crap). A precise, well built mouse also negates the problems of reverse acceleration and tracking, allowing you to make a smoother curve with your mouse movements.
Better mouse doesn't make you aim better. If you can play, you can play on 5$ mouse
Lets see a flick shot like this On a cheap mouse. Because it's not going to happen. You move your cheap mouse real quick across your pad and it will just spaz out. Open paint with your cheap mouse, make the canvas as big as possible, start at the left with the pencil, hold down left mouse and move it as fast as you can to the right. It will just make a crappy line which curls back on itself in a retarded way. So maybe when you know something about the subject comment, ok? Otherwise just don't bother.

As others have already said, I've had a Logitech G5 for some time now and it works great. It's comfortable, the sensitivity adjustments are great for when I need extra movement speed when aiming in a tank or when I need to make fine adjustments, like when sniping, I can slow it down. It's reliable too.
Standard 3 button microsoft mouse :P
It goes w/o saying that any regular cheap logitech brand mouse is REALLY good for anything. I've been using the Logitech G5 mouse @ http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G5-Laser-Mouse-931376-0403/dp/B000AY5YI4 for about maybe four years and it has never let me down.
Exactly that, my G5 has never had a single problem in 4-5 years now.
I use a really cheap mouse that was like, what, 15 euro's? Never really got why I would want/need to spent a shitload of money on a mouse. Any mouse is fine for me really.
Razer Lachesis. I've been using it for a couple of years and never had any problems with it. And it feels very nice when you get used to it.
I use a Microsoft Comfort Optical 3000 Work just fine.
The G5 is discontinued, you might be able to find it somewhere though. I would reccomend getting the G500 though, I own both a G500 and a G5 and in my opnion the G500 is better.
On this subject, I'd recommend a logitech G9, it's served me well and is smooth and accurate, and I find myself using the sensitivity control all the time. But, if anybody is feeling daring, and maybe owns a G9, perhaps they could explain why the compare page on logitech's website is wrong? Apparently the features I thought were only in my G9 apparently are not. So I have a G9x. Yet I clearly don't. Hmm. the G5 has this odd texture on it and it feels so good to touch it :smug:
Razer Salmosa
the G5 has this odd texture on it and it feels so good to touch it :smug:
But hey, so does my dick but I don't go around bragging about that ya' know. (lololol)
I had an MX518 for about 3 years up until a couple weeks ago, where I decided to get something new to fit my new computer. I went with the CoolerMaster Storm Sentinel Advance gaming mouse and boy is this thing fun. It pretty much feels exactly the same as the MX518, so anyone used to that will have no problem here. It's got onboard memory like all the other gaming mice, so you can program macros and have up to 5 profiles saved on the mouse using the awesome software that is included. It's also only $55 on Amazon, great deal: http://www.amazon.com/Sentinel-Advance-Engine-Gaming-SGM-6000-KLLW1-GP/dp/B002R5ABGY
I am just fine with a 10$ microsoft mouse.
Hence why I said can, not everyone seems to need or care about the higher sensitivity. And even with one the aim is still up to the user. These mice just allow a bit more precision and tweaking with adjustable sensitivity.
That's fun and stuff, But i'd like to get something not looking like it contains 5 fans and a rocket launcher :P
I find it useful. I can set the lights on everything to the same color so it all fits. That's half of what you're paying for in gaming mice anyway, the looks. But the CM Storm has nice feel and functionality, too.
I was using Logitech G5, and it was fucking brilliant. Now I'm using Razer Copperhead. It's great as well, but I miss the weight adjustability, but the added sensitivity levels make up for it. No mousemat, by the way.
G5 [editline]09:45PM[/editline] MX518 surface is fucking ugly and feels like rusty bucket compared to G5
MX Revolution
MX518 is fucking amazing.
I use g5 because it fits my hand well. (its also a really good mouse)

Dell ball mouse FTW
Better mouse doesn't make you aim better. If you can play, you can play on 5$ mouse
I highly disagree, the difference between a piece of shit optical mouse and a decent laser mouse is night and day.
