whats the easiest way to delete units en masse?
In victoria, just select a massive bunch of them and continually click "delete unit", but wait until your screen is filled with dialogue, then click yes. Continue until all are gone that you want, and then go into their military section and stop any unit production.
I used to declare War then cheat for peace and it 'force disbarment' in HOI2
Any one know if removing the FOW in HOI2 effects the AI?

IIRC, it doesn't.

Behold, the Axis-American Cold War

I was tired of a cold war, so I had Japan split from the Axis and declare war on the US.
Was was over in a month, Japan isn't a fan of nukes.
Which Fixpack?
[editline]15th December 2012[/editline]
One problem with Vic2 is if you switch countries with the "Tag" command, the AI stops moving their troops around when you switch back (unless the unit was already on a mission) So you have to save an re-load for them to start using their units again.
Though that is a good way to make a country loose a war if you want them to.
http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?620456-Unofficial-AHD-2.31-Fixpack
Also I've never had that happen to me. I use TAG quite a bit, and when I switch back the AI utilizes their divisions fine.
Watch as he turns into Mali.
As far as I know it will become Spain when it's transferred.
Right so I changed pretty much all the functions to AI control in my Hearts III game, and now my party support and national unity are plummeting, my officer ratio is like one in a hundred, and I'm in substantial debt. Are civil wars very common, by any chance?
As far as I know it will become Spain when it's transferred.
I thought it went by country tags, and MAL sounds the closet for conversion.
The country is only named that due to the owners being Muslim. The dynasty is called Malidad, the empire however is Hispania
Okay, so in my game as the USA I've had three civil wars so far. 1861, 1885 and 1898. All of them resulted in me getting a few things but not being able to annex the CSA. Well, I finally decided to give them the right to secede in 1906, and then bam we're best buds. 1907 and guess what.
they petition to be annexed
oh my god
Have an accurate representation of what my North America looks like.

Europe, Asia and Africa really fucking scare me so I think I'll stay over here.
csa is like that girlfriend who breaks up with you then comes back the next day asking you to marry her.

what the fuck are you doing america
This was made by a german USA with save conversion from EU3, so the USA had only 3 states, and most of colombia and central america.

Screenshot of the only time I've ever seen the AI form a united united indochina. It was a megacampaign, and they formed in EU3. I wanted then to become great, but now they are getting wrecked by the 1st, 3rd and 5th great powers. Just about every nation in this game for some reasons is civilized, but I don't mind, it's entertaining.
Has anyone else here had any interesting things done by the AI?
I let a Communist Germany game run overnight in Darkest Hour.
At some point the UK fell apart with Canada taking over its remaining territories, probably due to the use of Nuclear weapons, since I've never seen the Soviet Union make a beach landing anywhere, the Union has a severe lack of the necessary tech and the will to research such tech.
France, Italy, Nationalist China and Japan were all nuked at one point since their capitals were moved.
Nationalist China has no Ministers, I'm guessing either something broke, or NC does not have ministers for this time period.
The world is mostly Liberals, Fascists and Paternal Autocrats
and yes, all that blue is France.

List of Allies as of 1984 (The reason its 1984 is because I used the command 'Handsoff' so it didn't pause when it ended in 1963, it eventually crashed in 1984)

Communist Germany? You mean an after WW2 game? orr..
But other than than that, yeah, the nuke AI in DH is utter shit, and the nukes don't do enough long term damage later game.
It really is just "a city dissapears for a decade and then comes back" and the rate at which nukes are fired can't NEARLY catch up to anything apocalyptic.
So no nuclear holocaust for me. And in response to france, I had a game where the Soviet Union conquered literally the entirety of "the old world" except for britain. The russians are allergic to water it seems. The AI never seems to stop or collapse. It needs to be a lot less scripted, but the HOI series has always been the most scripted since WW2 needs to stay relatively plausible.
In the start of the 1933 scenario in Darkest Hour Germany gets the option to elect the Nazis or the Communists.
I loaded up Germany, selected communist then loaded up Cuba and let it go about it's business.
They almost always align with the Soviet Union
Then all the times I've done this, they declare war on the allies with a national decision called 'The Final Struggle' in 1936 after trying to coup most of eastern Europe.
If Germany or the Soviet Union doesn't manage to coup Poland, Germany normally gets its ass handed to them since Poland is neutral so the Soviets can't sent back up, but almost always at some point the Soviets declare war on Poland and is able to get through. Though usually by then Germany is gone.
Only place I've ever seen the Soviet Union pull a naval invasion is Northern Africa.

Three maps, each from the end of a stage of a mega campaign I did completely handsfree, just the AI. The other guy who did this last page inspired me. It sucks that you hit a brick wall on HOI3 conversion, it's just has such a small selection of countries and relies on scripted events so much it's impossible to get anything done with the current converters.
Anyways, I've posted enough in this thread lately for a while, so I'm going to try and not post so much. Just an a paradox game spree lately, sorry if I was spamming too much.
Heh, what. doing a normal WW2 run, come 1939, Germany and Soviet Union Declare war on Poland and each other, and they also both go to war with the Allies.
3 way war going on.
The fuck happened.
I'm planning on hopping on that transfer bandwagon, it seems pretty great.
So far, in my CK2 game, the Byzantine Empire has collapsed a total of 6 times. Every time it re-formed it got bigger.
It's like an amoeba.

Until Greece happens.
And takes Brittany.
For who knows why.
Now both Germany and the UK have Declared war on Norway
