i worked like 300 years to get them like that[/QUOTE]
No I mean, what method? :v:
Do you play as one nation, get pretty borders and then switch to another and do the same?
Or do you use some weird invasion way and then resell the provinces to AI nations for free?
Some shit involving releasing vassals or what?

Why does this always happen? Out of my 4 kingdoms, 1 of them always goes to the wrong son. Is it a bug? I don't get it.
It's elective? It could go to a different kingdom altogether if that's what the Dukes want.
But he has no votes for him.

Last time my younger son took over a Primogeniture kingdom aswell.

this basically
[editline]29th December 2012[/editline]
in hindsight it probably would have been easier to just stomp across the whole of europe and then release vassals one by one, because the way I did it meant that I kept having to take on powers that were way stronger than me (sometimes even coalitions of great powers). at one point I was at twice my forcelimit and even that was after taking the NI that increases forcelimits, [I]and[/I] the "trading in grain" bonus.
plus since I couldn't really control what other countries did and didn't do, oftentimes I had to keep invading the same place multiple times because provinces would change hands after I had carefully divided them up between countries. I later learned that this was partially due to me going overboard and completely crushing a country's military, so that surrounding neighbors could just march right in after I had finished and pick it apart. I eventually solved this problem by carefully avoiding engaging with the main enemy stacks and just quickly sieging the provinces I needed plus their capital and/or their national focus to get enough warscore. that way I could get what I wanted from the war while not leaving the country defenseless.

genoa was my vassal though which made things a lot easier for italy. wish I had thought of that sooner.
[QUOTE=Sobotnik;39014286]What's the status of the CK2 to EU3 converter?
I feel like creating a British empire, annexing Iceland + Canaries, then meddling with the borders in Europe.[/QUOTE]I don't think it's compatible with any mods, and supposedly if there's too many nations it won't work.
Steppe Wolf is so broken in the later years of the game, I was playing in 2010 as Germany, and with Italy and Spain, we dominated France, after the peace France had a revolution and became a Feudal Monarchy again :v:

steppe wolf is just a hilariously silly mod in general
Does anyone know how much the Republic DLC for CK2 will cost?
In one of my games Norway created Scandinavia by itself in CK2.
[QUOTE=U-Lander;39022907]Does anyone know how much the Republic DLC for CK2 will cost?[/QUOTE]
5 or 10 dollars most likely.
[QUOTE=Keyblockor;39023224]In one of my games Norway created Scandinavia by itself in CK2.[/QUOTE]
In my game Denmark inherited both Norway and Sweden at the same time and a few days later formed Scandinavia, it was a bit of a surprise seeing such a huge map change while going at the fastest speed.

I had the same thing happen while playing EU3+
Fortunately in EU3+ you get infamy when inheriting nations, so Denmark inherited Norway, Sweden and Finland at the same time and shot up to twice their infamy limit. Milan (Holy Roman Emperor, in a personal union with Hungary), Austria and England promptly used the dishonourable scum CB to dismantle Denmark within a year.
't was funny.
I fudged around with the 1936 scenario in Darkest hour, made Nationalist China part of the Axis. really screwed things up, in 1937 Japan declared war on China, so Japan is at war with Germany as well, its 1940 now the war is still going on, and as far as I can tell it is the only war.
The only thing Germany has claimed in Europe is the Rhineland, that is it. Austria is still Independent, the Czechoslovakia still exists and so does Poland. China and Germany are the only members of the Axis.
[editline]30th December 2012[/editline]
Also Germany does not know what to do with its navy, they just keep juggling it between their northern ports, they're sending no ships into the Pacific. I don't think they have any troops in Asia at all.
[editline]30th December 2012[/editline]
Ah, Japan attacked Pearl Harbour in September 1941, Declaring War on US and the Allies. Note Germany and China are still only at war with Japan.
[editline]30th December 2012[/editline]
April 1942, Italy and Romania have joined the Axis and the Soviet Union has declared War on Poland. Poland Independence was not Guaranteed by any one, so Soviet Union is only at war with Poland.
[editline]30th December 2012[/editline]
Haha, what Soviet Union had "Great Patriotic War"
Apparently fighting Poland is that important.
[editline]30th December 2012[/editline]
December 1942, Soviet Union Annexes Poland, declares war on Germany and Finland.
[editline]30th December 2012[/editline]
1947, Germany has pushed Soviet Union back to Asia so they finally have troops in the battle against Japan.
[editline]30th December 2012[/editline]
September 1949, USA finally Nukes main land Japan (Nagasaki). Japan surrenders after the first nuke. As soon as Japan surrenders Germany Annexes Austria, looks like the 1930 Germany events are going to start firing.
[editline]30th December 2012[/editline]
What I guess you could call 'World War 3' has started, Germany has declared war on Norway and the UK. One month into the war USA nukes Berlin.
[editline]30th December 2012[/editline]
September 1952, France Surrenders and is annex, they were not even partitioned, Germany just outright take all of Main Land France, UK takes control of their colonies.
So hey if I'm a count of a duke of the king of england and I inherit a scottish duchy, do I become a scottish vassal or am I just bumped up a place?
You remain with the English and inherit the Scottish duchy, thus moving up in feudal status.
Sweet

i collapsed shortly after reaching brunswick
rip islamic russian khanate & ivan genghisid
Those Austrian puppet states.
it was austria whom ultimately destroyed me
while i was awfully technologically backwards (land tech 5, lol) and Brunswich closer to 15-18, I had to use almost 40 troops to defeat 7 of theirs. now, i knew that austria would be a problem even before i entered german lands, so i made transsylvania, bohemia and silesia a vassal wall against them. it worked perfectly, until austria decided to go conquer ottoman lands and they bordered me.
after that i was p much dead.
Wow I just noticed how big the Ottomans got.
they kept declaring war on me for so many years, so i had plans on releasing sibir as a vassal (as you can see in my first screenshot) not only because i hate defending those areas from rebels, but also because i was planning on selling sibit my provinces to make a wall against ottomans. the result was simply that ottomans kept colonizing them instead (i had hoped the game mechanics didnt allow that to happen when they were my vassal). so yeah, ottomans conquered all of the eurasian steppes basically. after i collapsed they also started occupying all my nation all the way to goddamn danzig and they were colonizing [B]all of it[/B]

Wait they were colonizing your provinces? What the shit?
yes, i was a steppe horde russia.
[IMG]http://i47.tinypic.com/2cr7omw.jpg[/IMG]
Oh damn I forgot you could do that in DW... can they fight back?
[editline]31st December 2012[/editline]
I mean can a steppe govt fight back when its provinces get colonized?
if i take back those occupied provinces i can destroy the colonizers for a small infamy penelty
no they have to hope for rebels to push out the occupiers
[QUOTE=Kentz;39047017]if i take back those occupied provinces i can destroy the colonizers for a small infamy penelty[/QUOTE]
but for that I assume you have to go to war? do you get a CB if someone colonizes your shit?
they have to be at war with me to colonize me, thats how civilized nations take over horde provinces
