It was the American Empire with an Absolute Monarchy, that is what caused the Second Civil War, then it turned into a Constitutional Monarchy and the name changed to Kingdom.

Can you fabricate a claim on an entire Kingdom in CKII? I don't feel like eating up Scotland one piece at a time.

High piety and opinion with the pope can grant you a invasion for the Kingdom. I think you need a smaller Realm though.

Yeah that's the problem. I just wondered because I always get errant vassals fabricating claims on my Kingdom but can't do it myself.
You can have the leader excommunicated, this will also allow you to request an invasion.
You can of course have a claim on their throne through marriages as well.
Finally finished my game of CK2. I'll get some pictures up of the very...interesting way the world has turned eventually.
Began as a Hungarian duke, became King of Hungary for a century and a half or (more), became Emperor of the ERE, stayed as Count of Constantinople for the rest of the game, completely adopting Orthodoxy and Greek culture.

Can't you fabricate a claim on their capital city and then use that as a claim on the rest of their territories?
