Awwww yes, Republic DLC Disregard Prestige, acquire Florins [t]http://gamingirresponsibly.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/4048570578_517fe707e0.jpg[/t]
You can literally exchange Money for Prestige. You can buy a marriage with noble families. I think it's like. 100 for a counts daughter, 200 for a dukes, 300 for the family of a king, and 400 for the direct family of the king.

I've honestly not been this excited to play CK2 for a while.
I'm going to form the Irish Republic and constantly raid England
I never really expected that in CK2 of all games we'll be running a family business like no other mobster ever has.
One thing I'm bothered about with Marriages is with the Daughters side. I've married my daughters off to kings and dukes, and I should get prestige. I know if a simple merchant family had connections to fucking KINGS, they'd be prestigious. [editline]15th January 2013[/editline] So as a Republic, the family taking a bit of the money is a bit annoying, but it can totally pay off sometimes. Like, one of my sons had died, (My character died and I took over as his Nephew) and suddenly, my Wallet went from 100, to 502. Fucking love that. Although I don't like how they ask for titles. It's like, come on, you own more than a feudal lord, suck it up and play with your massive amount of money.
I need help, I'm trying to play the crusaders kings 2 tutorial but whenever the tutorial requires me to press the independent realms map option the tutorial doesn't advance, anyone know how to fix this?
Don't play the tutorial. Instead, start the game up as the Count of Dublin circa 1066. [editline]15th January 2013[/editline] The world as of 1150. I also invented superpacs before the creation of mass media. The Kingdom of Jerusalem split from it and it owns 1 county in Ireland and 1 in the holy land. I also invaded Ireland. I'm playing the Project balance mod and it really is suited for the Republic dlc. [editline]15th January 2013[/editline] I'm kinda surprised. Since the Byzantines made a Republic out of Ukraine during my last game. Also, don't ask me how Poland joined the HRE.
What're the colors in the water for?
What're the colors in the water for?
That's trade zones. I don't have the dlc yet, but the dev diaries mentioned they represent connected trade centers owned by Republics.
I make 90 a month, 55 with expenses. I've also super breeded my characters and have been the Emperors Steward for six generations.
Playing as the Republic of Venice, I've spent virtually all of the game in a vendetta with the Morsini Family, which owned all of the Venetian Holdings in the Byzantine Empire. Suddenly, the Basileus declares a trade embargo war on me, which means if she wins she gets to loot all of our trading posts... ...in the Byzantine Empire. Surrendered immediately and bankrupted those Morsini scumbags :v: GUESS YOU SHOULD HAVE INVITED ME TO THAT BALL AFTER ALL HUH
I'm finding it somewhat hard to expand against other republics. The only winning move I can see is to wait for my guy to get really old and start rapidly attacking every coast area they own and then invading their counties. Hopefully my ruler will die shortly after and then I can continue on as the heir making more money.
What's the betting that the next DLC will make Theocracies playable, with a playable Vatican and Holy Orders? Its either that or Paganism.
Probably pagans/hordes
I kinda want an expansion of some features. Stuff like being able to send merchants to trading zones, buying technology, expanded crown laws, lending/borrowing money, etc.
I'd take a horde game. Tried playing as the GH in a mod, and they're actually quite difficult. If you're still Tengri, people treat you like ass.
So I just got 1100 from a 61 year old family member dying :v:
New EvW Screens [t]https://fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/703537_10151240452448499_1232806279_o.jpg[/t] [t]https://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/740301_10151240452683499_132299478_o.jpg[/t] [t]https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/266598_10151240452118499_173967361_o.jpg[/t] [t]https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/266702_10151240452723499_375918848_o.jpg[/t] [t]https://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/741199_10151240453308499_219192224_o.jpg[/t] [editline]16th January 2013[/editline] Couple of the screens it looks like who ever took them forced Anti-Aliasing through their graphics card.
Hnnng can't wait
Playing an independent Venice is a real pain, as everytime the Kaiser gets low on cash he decides to make you his bitch. In one particular war I managed to lose half of my League's trading posts with almost no fight because I couldn't face the 40k German doomstack. If I didn't know better I'd say mercenary numbers have been beefed up as well because the AI now fields much bigger armies than they did before.
Mercenaries get increased numbers as the years go by. [editline]16th January 2013[/editline] And somehow a division of the Kommenos dynasty turned Kurdish.
Don't play the tutorial. Instead, start the game up as the Count of Dublin circa 1066.
But how am I supposed to know what the fuck to do if I don't play the tutorial? The game doesn't really look self explanatory.
But how am I supposed to know what the fuck to do if I don't play the tutorial? The game doesn't really look self explanatory.
You can figure it out pretty quick, and there's pop-up help the first time you play.
But how am I supposed to know what the fuck to do if I don't play the tutorial? The game doesn't really look self explanatory.
there's a wiki too
But how am I supposed to know what the fuck to do if I don't play the tutorial? The game doesn't really look self explanatory.
once you get past the shitty way the game presents information the game is incredibly simple. just play as dublin 1066. you are in a position where you can expand easily, and scotland/england generally don't bother ireland until a bit later so there is very little chance of you being killed off early in the game. it's a great spot to learn the game at your own pace, with little penalty for not doing things correctly.
I like the EvW map looking like the DEFCON one on some of the screens.
Is there an EuIII to VickyII converter around? I can't seem to find one.
[t]https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/266702_10151240452723499_375918848_o.jpg[/t] Shit, it's Vicky 2 Factories all over again. And with Hearts of Iron 3's AI, if you set it to AI-Controlled, they'll build endless radio-towers in the middle of Manhattan and never set them up.
u might need those radio towers one day!!!
