Okay so I was playing as King of Aquitaine and the Pope declared a Crusade to take back Greece. I sent five thousand men to help out. Four of every five were killed outside Athens before I realized I could hire the Templar's and Hospitalliters to aid me. They went around slaughtering Infidels and taking Greek places when, out of nowhere, the Crusade ended and the entire Kingdom of Greece was granted to me personally. I know have one-hundred seventeen counties in my Demense. When I went to grant some new-made Duchies to my many children, the game crashed, presumably because it can't be arsed to load all my counties.

You don't have 117 counties, you have 117 holdings. You get EVERY HOLDING IN EVERY PROVINCE from heathens when waging holy wars.

I get 200 gold a month and i literally conquer provinces just to spend my money on province improvements.
I put taxes to a minimum and have gone to war with so many people that I have a peace treaty with every person in Britain, every Republic, The King of Norway, The Moors, and the Mongols.
I got myself 2 standing armies of 20,000 longbows each, which pretty much rape anything they come into contact with.
What's a good control country in ck2 and eu3?

The reasons the trade leagues existed as long as they did, was pretty much because they had the money to back armies. :v:

You can type "observe" into console in CK2 and you'll be able to just watch.

CKII saves can get big and take a while to load, the game I ran from 1066 to 1408 took almost 5 minutes to load. Its 168MB
I never had to wait for big CK2 saves, they load up pretty quick for me.

I'm hoping next patch you're given the option to convert to your Liege's religion and not just his culture. And if you have high enough piety as a Muslim you should be able to fight for/usurp the title of Caliph or possibly make yourself some type of anti-Caliph.
Right so the Fatmids declared war to take back Greece. My Greek levies held Constantinople on a bloody siege and began to force the Infidels back when a two-prong assault took southern Greece and sent the Duke of Athens into hiding with a fraction of his army. My French soldiers are massing on Crete when the Seljuks stick their dirty noses into our business. Thousands of horse archers now prowl the scorched lands of eastern Anatolia. On the bright side, the Holy Romans, Norwegians, and Hungarians all declared separate holy wars in various parts of Egypt.
Going to start a new game in EU3 later. As Brandenburg, I had basically all of Northern Germany, bar the Hansa, as either conquered or my vassals. I was having to answer a lot of war calls to keep the empire together, and I didn't like that considering how frequent they were once the Ottomans reached the Balkans.

Back when I was Emperor of the HRE I had a pretty big war with France and Burgundry to liberate HRE members from Burgundy, in doing so I pretty much broke France and demanded it split itself up into a whole bunch of smaller states, which I guess upset the balance of power in western europe somewhat because it's now the technicolour dreamcontinent you see now. Byzantium was doing pretty well however the minute Austria stopped being able to expand north I guess they decided to head into Greece instead.

Oh awesome the Ice and Fire mod is updated to 1.09. I need a break from Aquitaine, between the Fatmids and my asshole uncle who converted to Greek culture and Orthodox religion, Greece just won't stay together long enough to form a solid power base.
