it could be also possible that it's a wrap up scenario, since the one they've shown is about the gulf war. they might also make it an extended endgame that handles the collapse of the eastern bloc and yugoslavia, and lets the player decide if he wants the west to topple everything over, or have the east duct tape itself and assert dominance.
In the throes of a collapsing Soviet Union the reborn dictator Joseph Stalin II prepares the Soviet Union's nuclear missile stockpile! It's up to the player, as an American General of the Armies, or a Soviet Generalissimo to stop him before it's too late! Either topple the Soviet empire once and for all, or take down the west before the insane Stalin decides to use nuclear hellfire to do it for you! -Scenario description for 1991 start, anyone?
It always irked me how you never actually got any income from the factories in your nation.
Well. It was a full circle thing. You didn't get direct income, but it increased the wages of your citizens, and as a result, you got more money from taxation.
Well. It was a full circle thing. Does anyone here have any good challenge for CK2? I want something I can aspire to do while playing the game, instead of just mindlessly popping out babies and killing Scottish people.
How complex is Victoria II? I saw it just at a Humble Pack and I might get it, I am just scared that the sheer complexity will overwhelm me. http://www.indiegala.com/

http://www.indiegala.com/
If you keep in mind that it isn't meant to be a world conquering simulator you should be fine. Or just try the demo.
Thank you, I never knew that there was a demo available.
Keep in mind that the demo is radically different from the full game+expansion. Vicky 2 considerably improved over the days.
So I started as the duke of Apulia and holy warred the Muslims in Sicily. I just threw money at mercenaries and banished some guys for no reason just to get their money and keep up the war effort. Once I got it united, I decided to dump as many titles as possible on the mayor of Palermo and then loaded the save as him. Within two generations, I accidentally turned a peaceful mayor family into the leading maffia family that controls Sicily. It started peacefully. The families set up trade depots everywhere, when suddenly one noble refused to invite me to his ball. I riposted by making an even better ball just to piss him off. Then, it went downhill. My spymaster found a plot where he tried to take control of my trade depots in Southern Italy. I kindly asked him to stop, and he told me to fuck off. Then, his son suddenly overtook my son as the nr1 respected nobleman and my doge died in a suspicious accident. My new character's mum was also his spymaster, and she discovered another plot by the new Doge's brother to murder my sister. That's it. Vendetta. I overtook his son as the nr1 respected noble and then murdered him. I seized his assets. I killed anyone who didn't support my plots. Right now, every single person in the republic loves me or dies. I have eliminated all competition. The honour of my bloodline has been saved. Vittoria. Also note [thumb]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/1118285565663434221/016A544A0EE822A59082CB2F2890F2ED20147725/[/thumb] my Doge was unanimously heralded as Berold I the Just. Dura iustitia, sed iustitia. I can't wait to throw my republic into bloodshed to seize Venetian assets in Crete.
[t]http://puu.sh/1TvJ3[/t] Even as Russia collapses, Germany soldiers on
[t]http://puu.sh/1TvJ3[/t] Even as Russia collapses, Germany soldiers on
Is that a mod? I didn't know you could form Germany in EUIII.
you can form germany in eu3
Mafia stuff
Did something similiar as Gotland, but it included all four families. :v:
Is that a mod? I didn't know you could form Germany in EUIII.
Yeah, it's a bitch though. I'm not sure about vanilla but in this mod (Death and Taxes) you need 20 cores in northern germany, either 20 cores in southern germany or 40 in the north, emperor of the HRE with 100 imperial authority or you need to dismantle the HRE. it's worth it though, because you immediately get cores on all german provinces which means you can expand incredibly quickly with reconquest casus belli and then get lods of emone and manpowe I have all this money and nothing to spend it on.
Another Vicky 2 expansion clue:

Brandenblob game finally came to an end, as Death and Taxes postpones the end date until 1929. This was as large as I managed to get before the game over. [t]http://puu.sh/1TXwo[/t] [editline]28th January 2013[/editline] I hate Brittany for messing up my lovely borders. Also if my infamy were any higher then the Brandenburg Gate would be covered in the skulls of Russians, Austrians and the French.
Deutch Blob, Deutch Blob, uber alle---Jesus Christ that Georgia is massive.
It used to reach as far as the suez canal. [editline] fff[/editline] Holy shit I had no idea Georgia was THAT big World map screenshot, big file.
Also it gives more capitalists whose income is nice and juicy + factories produce more shit faster, so your tariff incomes are higher too if they import a lot of goods
I always had negative tariffs if I had a good economy. That way capitalist would build railroads and factories for me. How'd your mayor end up as part of the English Great House?
Wait a second. Plantagenet? How'd your mayor end up as part of the English Great House?
Must have married into them. They were Dukes of Anjou, I believe, until they took the throne.
One thing I want to see in a vicky 2 expansion is more Democracy, it's kindof unrealistic for every single great power except for the USA to be HMS. This will probably be a mod that adds onto political maneuvering with foreign powers rather than just your own country.
Wait a second. Plantagenet? How'd your mayor end up as part of the English Great House?

Must have married into them. They were Dukes of Anjou, I believe, until they took the throne.
Yes and no. The Normans arrived in Sicily and some of their families and family lines are already on the island in 1066. I think the province culture might even be Norman there, thus causing these names to appear. One of the noble families generated in the city when I made it that must've shared this name, I guess. It was like this at the start.
Huh, odd. They even share a coat of arms.
Huh, odd. They even share a coat of arms.
Yeah I... I'm not really sure how that happened. I didn't even design the ruler or anything, I used design a ruler to give the duke of apulia loads of martial to conquer Sicily ASAP so I'm not sure where they cam from. Doesn't really matter that much to me.
Is anyone up for a MP game of CK2 later today?

Greek Cyprus. WW1 I'm telling you.
Paradox stated they would never focus on WW I in any of their games, so i doubt its that.. i have all bets on coalitions though.
