Wow paradox are on a roll this year dear god.
Would still be nice to see it go back to 500AD. I've never seen high level strategy during the late christian west and early medieval period.
Unless the whole landless adventurer/leader to rebel movements thing is able to simulate the barbarian migrations, I think they really shouldn't go any earlier than what they've got it at
I wonder how the EvW developers are going to account for nuclear fallout
AFAIK they're not calculating fallout, Nukes in EvW are going to be like in HOI, really really big bombs.
AFAIK they're not calculating fallout, Nukes in EvW are going to be like in HOI, really really big bombs.
I think i saw them talking about it being much be devastating then classic HOI nukes but wont do nuclear holocausts.
I think i saw them talking about it being much be devastating then classic HOI nukes but wont do nuclear holocausts.
Yeah, so basically, big bombs.
Would still be nice to see it go back to 500AD. I've never seen high level strategy during the late christian west and early medieval period.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Migration_Period wouldn't it be fairly hard to simulate the "barbarian invasions" with ck2's existing gameplay? i mean it would make a whole lot of smaller factions act like the golden horde/mongols and idk how well the mongol invasions even work in the game. [editline]1st February 2013[/editline] it's definitely an interesting time period but it has so much migration and invasions going on that it doesn't really work out with ck2's system of running a kingdom.
I've not heard of a single game in my life that focuses on 200-900 AD, unfortunately.
there aren't any easily identifiable empires or "nations" that most people would really recognize. there were franks, avars, vandals, goths, saxons, britons, etc. games tend to take place later when there are places like the kingdom of england, scotland, france, and denmark that people can easily identify and relate to(since they still exist today).
Huh, in my Vicky 2 game, the UK released Australia and New Zealand together as Australia.
Can't wait for the new DLC, will be fun to play as the Vikings and conquer the entire north. Won't Republics won't be a bit over-powered though? From what I know Genoa is non existant at the time (I don't know about Pisa or Gotland) so Venice will have way less competition in the mediterranean.
Venice was a Byzantine territory at the time. [editline]1st February 2013[/editline]
I've not heard of a single game in my life that focuses on 200-900 AD, unfortunately.
Well. There's technically that "Fall of Rome" Scenario in Civ 5.
Yep (Vicky 2 again)

Twenty thousand?
I may be cheating, just a tiny winy bit. Not playing a serious game. [editline]1st February 2013[/editline] Woah, when the heck did China break up? Also Ireland just asked for a Military Alliance.
I've not heard of a single game in my life that focuses on 200-900 AD, unfortunately.
There is the Steppe Wolf mod for EU3. 11 AD - 2000's but of course that is a mod and isn't an official game but still it's pretty good.
Look at Canada's info.
? [t]http://i.imgur.com/Ioc2nzV.jpg[/t]
Its not a good mod, that is what the disagree was about.
I've not encountered any problems with it other than the ship models being replaced by soldiers and the fact that Bulgaria tends to rape everything on some of the start dates. What exactly is wrong with it because I haven't really played it too much but when I did it was okay.
It's a great mod in the So bad it's good kind of way. [editline]1st February 2013[/editline]
I've not encountered any problems with it other than the ship models being replaced by soldiers and the fact that Bulgaria tends to rape everything on some of the start dates. At war with pretty much the entire world.

The SA LP for Steppe Wolf is undoubtedly the best LP for anything
The SA LP for Steppe Wolf is undoubtedly the best LP for anything
Is it complete? I know someone (you?) just linked it a few pages back, but again, pretty please?

Where is the message option that tells you when revolts rise in your country in EU3 because it stopped telling me and it's getting annoying randomly having it pop up that I've lost a province to rebels I didn't know about.
i wonder what March of the Eagles will cost on release, because i'm looking to get it as soon as possible i'm guessing at least 40 USD
Considering Sengoku and CKII were $40 on release (iirc), I'm pretty sure March of the Eagles will be the same way
The progress on EvW is startling. Hopefully an early April release.
I've not heard of a single game in my life that focuses on 200-900 AD, unfortunately.
There's the expansion to Rome: Total war, Barbarian Invasions, which is around the 400 AD's, it's not THAT historically accurate, however, but it focuses right on the highlight of that era.
