What is with all this Latin Empire stuff. I've never seen anything like it in my vanilla CK2 so was it included in an expansion/mod?

It's already formed in one of the bookmarks, and I guess certain nations can form it if they take down the Byzantines.

Playing Darkest Hour and I just saw for the first time, the Finland AI choosing to Abandon Germany and side with the Soviets, causing them to became Communist. Also, the Latin Empire survived the civil war and the first heir to the throne had a stable succession.

So, the old gods, can I play as a finnish chieftain? I already succeeded once, with mods obviously, in uniting finland into a single kingdom and then conquering norway and estonia. I have a screenshot if beliefs are beggared

the AI in death and taxes seems to have this mentality of ganging up on the player the second he seems to be losing. I've been at constant war for 15 years as the teutonic order and literally every country in europe has been at war with me at least once in the past 15 years.

I love the paradox community and all but i do not get why so many of them think of steam as some cancer to PC Gaming. Especially since Paradox games do not use the Steam DRM, so once its installed you can move it anywhere and even uninstall steam.

You'd think it would be because of the auto updating, but it's not. The paradox forums are really fucking weird.

Can't you just turn off auto updating?

The developers said that they won't listen to the whiny forum anymore. Turns out barely 5% of the sales of CK2 were from a non-steam source (don't quote me on this), and they said CK2 only had an alternate source because people on the forum whined a lot about wanting it. Same shit with Empire Total war. There's even a anti-steam group. What children lmao.

I'm really surprised though that other sources only amounted to 5%. Goes to show how much of a vocal minority it was, lol

Doing a observed game of Darkest Hour from '33, things went mostly historically, except instead of the key of the war being an invasion through the north, the allies secured victory through Italy. The Soviets got very little at the end of the war in Europe, just a few Polish provinces . War in Europe ended in July 1945 First nuke was dropped on Romania by the Americans as far as I can tell. War is still going on in Asia, been a stale mate for the last couple years Soviet Union is falling apart, as is France. That is Nationalist China and Kazakhstan, they're both the same colour, I don't think the devs ever thought they'd exist at the same time. The Blue is a Japanese Puppet China. Anyways, war in Asia is over, so that marks the end of WW2. Two communists exist, and Two Fascist countries exists. Dahomey and Togo are Communist, Niger is Facist, Those 3 broke off from France during the trouble years after Germany Surrendered, the last Fascist is Belarus.
