Crusader Kings II is probably the easiest one to get into. You can run a kingdom well enough with the most basic knowledge, and conquer Christendom with an in-depth understanding of the game.

I just wonder when it's going to be out. I respect paradox for their lack of release dates, seeing as how they've been extremely quality conscious now a days, but still. I mean, we didn't even know when march of the eagle was going to come out until like four days ago, and it comes out in two weeks.

Oh my god fuck Canda. Playing as South Africa and having colonized everything south of the Congo (as well as building the Panama Canal) I was firmly in Great Power status, I even took on The British Empire and won, completely kicking them out of sub saharan africa.
Then Canada gets independence and becomes a fucking global superpower literally overnight, booting me all the way down to secondary power status with virtually no way of clawing my way back up in the remaining ten years of the game.
Fuck you, Canada.

Also, the only British troops I can find are one group in London and they're a Canadian Garrison, only other military units I can find are boats.

also it runs really fucking slowly. i gotta zoom out for the game to simulate at a reasonable speed.

When they formed the UK they started getting prestige out the arse. Right now they have somewhere between 5k prestige and even kicked Nationalist China out of GP #1, despite having a high score in virtually everything but prestige.
