Multiplayer Vicky 2 session is over. And there is only one thing that I can say:
MATSURIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
LET ALL FLEETS OF THE HABSBURG MONARCHY PERISH IN THE KAMIKAZE!
Wrong thread?
You don't know what happened in the multiplayer session.
No? Right thread. In our game he wrecked Poortugal's army with a army that was twice his size, as Japan.
Well, gee. Sorry, he edited his post.

Same thing happened to me,But at the end of it I got a big fat "Missing Executable"
Oh fuck I'm laughing. So the first thing at the screen on the bottom once I started it up said "Start a land war with Russia"

You forgot about the Austrian doomstack.

/gsg/ livestream of MOTE.
MotE
So I tried to invade Austria in the South and ended up backpedaling hard. Losing that main Italian army you get, and lost several Italian and French provinces already.
This game is kinda hard at first, honestly.

The music is fucking beautiful though.
The one thing I'm a bit confused about is how they handle occupying provinces. I have like, all of Northern Germany occupied as prussia, yet I only have like 6 war score.

Yeah, because he had an organized 15k army against an un-organized 5k army.
wooo

Well, I lost two provinces and a stack of [del]cannon fodder[/del] samurai in the process, so it's entirely justified. Also There was a ~15k Austrian combined arms force fighting 15k Japanese infantry+irregulars in the second attempt at mainland invasion.
[editline]18th February 2013[/editline]
Rough estimate of losses should be 8k Portugese "marines", 15k or 20k Austrian [sp]minorities[/sp] + those killed by attrition, and 30k Japanese combined infantry, mostly irregulars.
I finally did something noteworthy in CK2 aside from "Form the Empire of Britannia"

I managed to get it on my second character, so I feel like I did pretty well.
Unfortunately, while trying to create the Kingdom of Jerusalem, I lost my GODLY Cataphract retinues and now I'm having a minor issue with an independence faction.

Now with real image!
I just recently did the same all under 1 ruler that I made for the Byzantine Empire. I thought I had somehow broken the game because he appeared to be immortal until he died at the age of 94 after ruling for 77 years.

God bless, you crazy old bastard.

What does it mean when you can invite a country to your faction in HoI3 and it says impossible even though it should be?

Because it's some nation that loves to be neutral, like Portugal or Spain.
Is there any point in even influencing them then?
Because it's some nation that loves to be neutral, like Portugal or Spain.
Really? I see Portugal going Axis all the time.
Maybe it depends on the year, I could be wrong.
He could also be on a different expansion pack. I used to see Portugal go axis back in the old days of Hoi3 and such but after TFH I haven't seen it once.
March of the Eagles seems to be more of a multiplayer game. It just doesn't really have enough flavor to hold it's own as a singleplayer game.
Yeah, MotE also seems to have a lot more of a micromanagement aspect as opposed to a macromanagement aspect.
It's not that it's a bad thing. It just isn't that indepth compared to any of their other 4x games. The thing that kind of is just bizarree to me is how the war system works. It's really different compared to any of their other games.

I have to admit, I kind of like it. Makes more sense than the EU3 method when you think about it.
[editline]19th February 2013[/editline]
For those that don't have it you essentially have provinces with cities in and provinces that don't. Non-city provinces are tied to city provinces and fall instantly without being sieged, however the minute troops leave those provinces the occupation ends. City provinces can be sieged and if they fall then all linked non-city provinces can be safely occupied and then abandoned without the occupation ending.
[editline]19th February 2013[/editline]
So far the game's playing sort of like an EU3 and HoI3 hybrid. With more emphasis on EU3 but with much less scope and a much heavier focus on the military.
I don't mean that. I mean how occupation means fucking nothing. Occupy a shit ton of territories, oh only 3 percent warscore.

Oh, yeah. Fighting a land war against France is agonising now.

[editline]18th February 2013[/editline]
I'm amazed at how optimized the game is. MP can be wonky for the most part, but it's still decent.
MoTE needs more things sound design wise, such as background noise when you're watching the results of a battle progress
