And it runs like ass.
I don't think the mod is bad but this is definitely the worst part about it, previous games with it have only been able to get up to ~1915 before opening any tab CTDs
kebab?
/int/ slang referring to Turks/Bosniaks/Muslims in general
I don't think the mod is bad but this is definitely the worst part about it, previous games with it have only been able to get up to ~1915 before opening any tab CTDs
Well, I'm running on a dual core CPU from a very long time ago, and I can run it consistently even with extending the end date 30 years. Sure it runs slower than vicky2, but I only play vicky2 on a 2x speed during wartime and 3x during peacetime, and I enable a ton of message settings to get a good idea of what I should do next and the state of the world. Anyways, it runs fine for me. Sure the max speed runs half as slow but other than that.. [editline]24th February 2013[/editline]
/int/ slang referring to Turks/Bosniaks/Muslims in general
I don't like slang and event desc's like "why johan :(" in games that are supposed to give you a relative sense of reality. [editline]24th February 2013[/editline]
It isn't all that good.
I realize I am being relatively aggressive with this post, and I don't mean to diss any other mods, this is all IMO. But.. Why isn't all that good? [editline]25th February 2013[/editline] Gotland, Masters of the North.
That Gotland pic is a good reason for them to finally DO something about the Hanseatic League or the merchant princes of Hamburg! Being the only republic in a trade zone is just way too powerful.

What is a decent country to pick in Victoria 2 for new players? Something that is not huge but still has enough influence, I think I want to go for an italian state.
The Most Serene Republic of Aquitaine. Ruled by the illustrious houses of di Bari, di Bari, di Bari, di Bari, and the most powerful of them all, di Bari. Gotlandish London/Middlesex. [editline]25th February 2013[/editline]
What is a decent country to pick in Victoria 2 for new players?
I always did feel like APD made the game feel easy to play with little effort. It's mostly because money being worth 1/4 it's value (ie: you can make 50 mill in the first 5 years alone) that really got me.

I usually play with moderation in mind, so that's probably why I like it. I usually start off as a smaller country and gradually rise to the rank of the others. Or a start off as very powerful and focus internally. Victoria 2 isn't really a game to min/max in and play for a huge challenge, IMO.
Any recommendations for independent counties/duchies in Crusader Kings that aren't completely crap?
Gunna attempt a whole Vicky 2 game as Australia.
Any recommendations for independent counties/duchies in Crusader Kings that aren't completely crap?
Brittany can be good. And if you conquer Ireland and Wales you can amass quite a lot of power. Barcelona is hard as shit at first, but if you ally with the main Iberian powers, and perhaps France, you should be able to hold.

So after picking up Sword of Islam and The Republic for CK 2 I figured I would try my hand at a Muslim republic, but, after I made one in the Fatmids and exited out, attempting to become the new republic gave me a greyed out bar saying not allowed to play as republics. Am I having an error or are you really not allowed to play as Muslim republics?

You can only play as a doge or higher to activate the proper republic stuff. A good place to start as a muslim republic would be Granada if you can get them a second duchy title, Shouldn't take long since I think they have a claim on the provences to the east, You can always cheese it with cheats to set up enough land for you to then set aside for the republic. Trust me though, you want the republic's capitol to be a valuable provence since it would be starting from the ground up unlike all the catholic ones,
What's the next game you guys planning on playing i'm looking for someone to play CK2 with
What's the next game you guys planning on playing i'm looking for someone to play CK2 with
East vs West when it comes out.
What's the next game you guys planning on playing i'm looking for someone to play CK2 with
I'll play CK 2 with you. What dlc's do you have, and when would you want to do it?
East vs West Wishlist 2: Nuclear Boogaloo Removal of the Threat/Neutrality System - This hurt Hearts of Iron 3 severely, since threat caused major nations to declare war on you for simply protecting your borders, and neutrality made it very hard to get an independent nation into a faction or to have it fight a war against another. Elongated Combat - This simply means battles can last longer, and have multiple regiments enter/exit combat. This already exists in Hearts of Iron 3 to a degree, but is hopefully allowed for less constraints on who can leave (I.E 'Brigade is currently in combat, cannot be moved!' or 'Brigade is reserves, is able to move') Proper Bombardment - Already mentioned somewhat before, but in Hearts of Iron 3, you had few choices when bombing targets. An expansion on what you're targeting (not just emplacements), or what you can do damage to would be quite nice. Actual AA Guns - Let's admit it. The Anti-Aircraft guns in Hearts of Iron 3 were a joke. Very rarely did they protect your cities/borders from the hordes of aircraft that would inevitably spill over late-game. However, with the probability of actual Anti-Aircraft research (SAM sites, etc.), this could be changed. Make It Hard To Fight - Wars in the entire Hearts of Iron series were ridiculously easy to start and wage, making repeated play-throughs a tad boring. Instead, hopefully, we see that declarations of war aren't as simple as just waiting for neutrality to go down and hitting the 'declare war' button. However, I don't want A House Divided's system of needing a justification to declare war. A good middle ground would be much more like Crusader Kings 2's system of fabricating claims through espionage. It's hard to explain what I mean by such, but I hope you understand what I'm getting at.
I just saw this image on the CK2 forums, the pope got ambitious
I knew Ireland appearing in North Africa was normal!
well the player who took that image was playing as Ireland.
well the player who took that image was playing as Ireland.
Yeah I can tell. It's just that my CK2 -> EU3 convert fucked up and suddenly Ireland was in North Africa and was Sunni fighting Shiite Leinster.
I'll play CK 2 with you. What dlc's do you have, and when would you want to do it?
Add me on Steam "The Haski" will figure out a date!
Add me on Steam "The Haski" will figure out a date!
Sent. Looks like you have EU3 as well. With a few more people, maybe we can get a long term game going... if we last through CK 2.
