Wow, what happened? If I had to guess I'd say their king ascended as a child and there was a load of revolts during the regency or they got excommunicated and the relations hit causes a mass revolt. Do you have any ideas as to what's caused the entire kingdom to collapse on itself? France could probably use the oppurtunity to either seize the English lands around Normandy or even make forays on the Isles themselves.
Some Duke declared war to lower crown authority, and then almost every vassal joined in. Then France tried to take the opportunity to attack the warring English provinces in the French region but they were counter-attacked and pushed back by the vassals who were trying to fuck up England. This only started very suddenly about five years ago. I wasn't really paying attention to England but I looked back at them and everything was going to hell.

If they're victorious they'll just rejoin the English nation with a lower crown authority.

I'm interested to see whether they will remain peacefully autonomous afterwards, if they're start going to war with each other, or if they'll form one big kingdom again. [editline]21st May 2012[/editline] Oh, I didn't read the second part of your post. Yeah, I guess, but that wouldn't be any fun, would it? :v:
Is it just me, or does the Golden Horde just sit there just fight revolting vassals?
Is it just me, or does the Golden Horde just sit there just fight revolting vassals?
Having fought them before, all I can say is it's preferable to them swarming across Eastern Europe :v:
Every wife of someone in my realm is trying to kill my son, even mine and his. What the hell did he do to get them to all conspire to kill him?
Is it just me, or does the Golden Horde just sit there just fight revolting vassals?
What year are you in? I think they expand more later on.
Is it just me, or does the Golden Horde just sit there just fight revolting vassals?
I noticed that with the Timurids a lot, but never with Golden Horde.
In CK2, how do I join a war with a kingdoms vassals who are rebelling against their king, or help defend a king's claim to the throne? If I try to declare war on a king while his vasals are rebelling I also declare war on the rebels. Is there anyway I can just join the vassals?

Goddamnit, CK:DV keeps crashing, no matter what. Oh, and if I cheat (Sometimes I activate them to try how big I can fuck up) it crashes. Any tips to keep it from crashing.
If you can join someone's war (I'm not 100% sure on the conditions) go to their diplomacy screen and select "Offer to join war".
I can only do that to defend a king against rebelling vassals. If i click on a vassal who's at war with his liege it doesn't give me an option to join the war on the rebel side.
got CK2Plus, playing as the duchy of gwynedd. (tiny little duchy on the side of England) So, my half-brother was the earl of Powys, and I decided I wanted to revoke his title (so I chose the plot to do so). Whilst I was gathering support, he decided to also plot against me simultaneously - he also wanted my title, that of the duchy. I of course, imprisoned him for this. Then, thinking that because he was in prison and in no position to bargain, I could send the letter to make him give up his title. He refused, and I decided to go to war, again thinking that since he was in prison, I could execute him and just carry on. So I did. What I didn't realize is that this made my duke a Kinslayer, and then that I still had to fight the war, just against the child ruler of the county. We battled around on the hills and mountains for a few months and I managed to get the upper hand and eventually win. After that, I built up my troops again (now having two counties for a bigger personal army) and attacked a neighbor county and claimed that. So the glorious duchy of Gwynedd is at like, 4 counties. With more to hopefully come. I have more of a tendency to choose smaller dynasties and build my way up, I realize.
Soon you might be the King of Wales it sounds like. Just be careful expanding with the English on your doorstep. With any luck they may get locked in a civil war, and you can take advantage to steal a few counties needed to form your glorious kingdom.
I've been trying to learn CK2 the same way I've learned every other Paradox game, fiddle with the raws and cheat until I have a clue what I'm doing. Unfortunately the addition of different technology in each province and characters rather than countries has made it a bit more difficult. So until I figure all that out, who is a good country to learn with. Preferably someone who can make good use of loads of cash and whatever other small modifications I can figure out.

Maybe grand strategy appeals a lot to this type of people. Or is my perception wrong.
Vicky 2 is a strange experience. On the one hand I will end up making a small country an economic power. Or if I play as Russia, I drive it into bankruptcy within 20 years.

I always found it strange how in Victoria, it is sometimes possible to tax people at a rate of greater than 100% taxation.
Paradox should make a Cold War or Modern Day Victoria/Hearts of Iron like game. Modders try to do that, but they ever seem to get finished.

Right off the bat, you can claim the Duchy of Meath and immediately get a vassal. Also, his father, the Earl of Leinster, is 75 years old so in a couple years he croaks and poof, you inherit his lands, giving access to yet another Duchy (Duchy of Leinster) so you quickly have a few counties if you so desire. After that, you're well on your way to becoming the King of Ireland. After that point, France and England will mostly leave you alone because they're dealin' with their own shit - leaving you to build up money, armies etc. You'll get to pick and choose what to involve yourself in and what not, which is nice for a beginner. I was hoping on civil wars and stuff keeping me safe - I'll probably end up expanding into Brittany and Ireland if I can manage it.
This is what happens when you fuck with the Irish.
God damn it Norwegian vassals, respect your Irish lords and convert.
God damn it Norwegian vassals, respect your Irish lords and convert.
Hey man, don't fuck with Norway. They'll fuck your shit. [editline]23rd May 2012[/editline] Oh I've been meaning to ask this for a while - what's a good total military manpower in CK2? As Norway I have 33K max, plus 4k with my personal levies, but I usually only have 23K available to me. Is that good, or should I have much more?
I'll have to check that out. The hell is sshedei anyway?

How do you manage to be so good at Eu3? I am dreadful at it.
