Wow I can't believe this actually works!

It's Paradox, crazy bugs are their niche.
What mods should I get for HOI3? I have HPP and it's pretty awesome.
Is A House Divided worth it?

Magrathea? It makes the map a lot better and adds a crapton of new nations that can be created as puppets, then made independant through some file editing. No idea why I can't set up a 1945 scenario, tho.
Also Random HOI for a completely wacky expirience featuring about 370-ish random nations and a lot of other settings that can be applied to make the completely randomized expirience a lot more unexpecting than you'd think.
I'm one of the people who rarely plays Victoria/EU/HOI games properly, I love messing with save files or games files to see what happens.

Warning though, if you have For the Motherland don't use Magrathea, there are problems with it at the moment.
I didn't bother to take any and it was around 8 months ago.
I can go do it again, you have to invade Brunei then head to Zulu for man power, you can also spam generals out to become westernized (though I think in AHD you need to do a lot of things differently.)
After that you just need to pick on the minor Asian countries, or Yemen can work too.

Yeah, there are some stability related issues and the cores can get screwed up en masse for some.
I can't help but love Portugal in EU3. When it comes to invading native american countries they're like a weedy kid that gets bullied at school then takes it out on the even more pathetic kids that are smaller than he is. Castille is the neighborhood bully that keeps him around because he's funny/wets himself at will.
I once got into a war with them as England (this happens pretty often if you fight England for its french territories) and all they did was sail a few ships menacingly at me. They also touched down about three thousand soldiers that my massive french armies reduced to a bloody smear on their way to deal with a more substantial english incursion from Caen.

I read that not copying over the events folder also helps with some crashes.

Hm, didn't tried that before. I guess it could work. Still no idea why I can't create a scenario past 1944.
EDIT:

Average day in RHOI.
I wish there was a way of stopping Steam from installing FTM, I really want to try that map mod without it crashing when trying to make Argentina declare war on anything.
Hearts of iron 3 is worst sequel I've ever played to a game.
It broke every good thing about hoi2 and added lots of pointless and complicated things that completely ruin the game.
I'll stick to Hearts of Iron 2: Darkest hour thanks.
Victoria has too much micromanaging and I find it too fidely to get everything undercontrol such as the trade and the tax systems.
I like some of HoI3's ideas and features, but stuff like neutrality totally ruins it. I've been playing a multiplayer game once a week for a few weeks and the first session was totally terrible for everybody because of neutrality. I (Italy) kept myself entertained in Ethiopia and Germany was eventually able to invade Denmark, but otherwise nothing happened. At all. The next session had war kick off full-scale in 1937, but neutrality struck again and as Italy I was unable to join the Axis at all and thanks to another terrible feature (FtM's threat intelligence crap) I couldn't even mess with Albania. I ended up switching to the Soviet Union when we had to rehost because of a crash and actually got involved in the war (AI SU had just declared on Germany because of ridiculously high threat from annexing poland in early '37).
Within weeks the AI Italy had somehow managed to drop about 30 neutrality points and get into the Axis.

I've never found Victoria's economy that hard. Even the automation works fine; if you're country is failing to meet its needs you can easily just practice some imperialism, and tax the hell out of your new colony.
Playing as Persia. One day before the game ends. The Fascist Dictatorship of Johore, with just over 107,000 people living within its borders and its two infantry brigades, apparently decided at some point to spambuild dreadnoughts to become the sixth most militarily powerful nation in the world.

Did you name your generals, admirals, and government administrators by chance after users here on the forums?:v:
Can anyone recommend me a good Paradox Interactive grand strategy game? I got HoI2 with all the expansions. Although my rig is pretty bad, so is there any game with lower requirements?
I love hearts of iron, that series is the only game out there that can statisfy my lust of complete power.
By the way do you guys use the automatic trade manager in HoI2? I always did it manually although it got a bit tedious. Is the AI any good?

Europa Universalis 3 is worth checking out. You can get it bundled with its expansion packs now, although there's a few nasty bugs that you might need to deal with.
No idea how good it is on the optimisation side, I just know that if you don't disable achievements the game tends to create MASSIVE files that wind up lagging everything up.

The A.I can do pretty decent work with the trade, so turn it to automatic.
I'm playing Hearts of Iron 2: Complete for the hell of it but my cursor is invisible
Fixed it, had to disable crossfire

You'd have to manually put them in and then randomize until they'd fit into the appropriate country, so no. :v: I did name the divisions after some of the stuff I know about on the forum.
Also here's the last few images from that save, all taken before the first one

Final stage of the war that was started by a Facepunch diversion in which Bavaria and Liberia took the majority of opposition's territory and Pakistan was liberated. Our expeditionary corp got the honor to be the first army that walked into the enemy capital.

Hamburg was the last nation standing. It's capital got steamrolled by Kyushu and that other nation a month after the war ended.

And Facepunchia before FRG(I think) invaded it. :v:
hmm should I get Arsenal of Democracy or Darkest Hour?

Think i'm going to get Darkest Hour, it looks nicer plus its cheaper

Darkest hour is better, I've spent 400+ hours on it.
I love HOI, liberating Israel as Nazi germany :v:
I just finished WW1, really screwed up history here. I wish you could keep going until the 50s with the WW1 scenario, but it ends in 1920

So what do you guys think of the Crusader Kings 2 demo?

By editing the save you can extend the timeline to 1975 like I did with my Imperial Russia campaign.
