I was playing Victoria 2 as Holland, and noticed that the American Civil War was occurring, which was cool, but when I saw in the war list that it had ended, I checked on the Americas and noticed that not only had the war ended in Status Quo, but the Confederate rebels are now being overrun by rebels. I fear that if those rebels succeed they will turn into a super-anarchy and roam the Americas as a massive band of slavers.
One problem with taking countries by force: I'm Holland.
Pffft, I managed to form The Netherlands and take a big part of Burgundy (and Munster) by the 1500's.
Is this the part where you tell me you declare war on them as part of a peace-keeping operation?
33,000 cannons under the name "Liberty's Fire" I'm taking Louisiana in hopes that the rebels who have now moved north into the Union take some more room for me. I haven't actually seen a rebel army yet so I am safely assuming they're 1,000,000 each.
Anyway to remove rebels from the game, all they do is annoy me.
Anyway to remove rebels from the game, all they do is annoy me.
Removing rebels from the game is like removing the engine from your car.
Yeah, just leave them in. In CK2 they're easy as fuck to deal with as they just stay in one place, but in EU3 they're a little more annoying. Which game are you talking about?
Victoria 2 right now, they just appear everywhere and I want to be fighting Austria not Prussian rebels...
You'll have to deal with it. These are real things that nations face, and they can't just delete them when they don't want them around. Just make a white peace with Austria until you finish with the rebels, or try to fix what the rebels don't like. They are there for a reason. [editline]29th May 2012[/editline] If you really want to disable rebels, just google "Victoria 2 no rebels cheat". I got a bunch of results but I can't link them to you because I'm on a school computer.

Awesome. [editline]29th May 2012[/editline] Does this mean that we get to make doomstacks?
How do I get the Game of Thrones mod to work for CK2? I put it in my mod folder but it's not showing up in the launcher tab.
How do I get the Game of Thrones mod to work for CK2? I put it in my mod folder but it's not showing up in the launcher tab.
Put the Mov. file in as well.
Put the Mov. file in as well.
Ah, ok thanks. I thought the mov file was useless.

Assassinating the ruler of Cumans is pretty useful, his son comes into power meaning that all the vassals start revolting, meaning I can pick them off one by one. As Cumans has less vassals, he has less soldiers to murder my mercenaries with, so I'm gradually taking over all of his domain.
Why do the eastern nations always have such huge manpower? Is it because everyone has multiple wives?
Why do the eastern nations always have such huge manpower? Is it because everyone has multiple wives?
Historically? Forced soldiers, absolute monarchies, hordes, "ALLAH WILLS IT", and the like. Ingame? Manpower modifier xInfinite.
and suddenly hungary was the golden horde reasonable.
All I can say is HAVE FUN KEEPING THAT TOGETHER.
All I can say is HAVE FUN KEEPING THAT TOGETHER.
I have a good way of keeping vassals happy. It helps to have a city or a temple within their demesne, so that city or temple will remain under your order, however, if the duke of that area is unhappy with me, I can simply transfer the vassalage to him and he's happy again.

Oh god, it's almost 1880 in my Netherlands game of Victoria. Germany needs to fucking unite if WWI is gonna happen. Oh shit it's the French Conquest of the Rhineland! Shit is gonna go down.
Wow, how did you manage that? What's the state of your military? it's gotta be over 200k.
Well first I made an Anti-Pope, which led to most of the leaders north of Hungary to convert to Paganism, so then I just used holy war Casus Belli's on them and took over most of their land, then I waited for their "Recently Conquered" things to wear off and also during this time I built up all the temples and cities and increased taxation and stuff. So then I had about ~50,000 soldiers in levies, and as I had ducal claims on Kingdom of Rus, I used that to take over remaining Rus territories. With the kingdoms of Lithuania, Poland, Bulgaria, Hungary and Rus, I then built them up to improve tech, tax and levies. Then I waited a few more years and then I had 60k in cash. Then I assassinated the current leader of Cumans and then all the vassals revolted against the new leader, then I declared war on a few of the revolting vassals until cumans was just two duchies (and a county which I forgot about). So I used Holy Wars on their two duchies and they were left with that one County you see above Alania. But then a count in Crimea died and so the Cumans leader got that too due to some silly succession thing. [editline]30th May 2012[/editline] And with all the wars I've won I managed to get loads of prestige... ...which will all go to waste because my character's brother keeps plotting to install seniority succession and to kill me.
How exactly are you managing your vassals? Transferring vassalage of cities and temples in the vassal's lands back to them? Aren't the cities and temples and such of those lands usually their vassals already?
How exactly are you managing your vassals? Transferring vassalage of cities and temples in the vassal's lands back to them? So the Duke will desire control of that city. Then when they're giving out a revolt risk you can just transfer it to them and they'll be happy again.
