Spoiler that shit.
None of those are spoilers for the show or novels.
Is there any way at all to break free from the claws of tribal government in EU3?

How much does royal marriages impact other nations decisions on whether or not to attack/help in a war against you? I'm trying to stay on good terms with poland in EU3 as Moscowy so they won't come to Novgorod's help once I go to war with them.
It actually makes less sense after you read the books. King Aerys dying before the rebellion even starts? Maester Luwin leaving Winterfell for a seat on the council in the Citadel? Robert Baratheon dying a month after Aerys? It's basically just CK2 in the ASOIAF universe. Don't expect it to follow the story at all, or you will be disappointed.
I meant more for the characters and such. I don't expect it to follow the story. I just don't know any of the characters/universe as of now.

However, I know that trust is the most important factor. If they trust you utterly, then they are far more likely than if they are only willing to trust you somewhat. Relative strength and distance probably also play a role in the decision as well. Royal marriages give a small bonus to trust, as do any agreements IIRC. However, the best way to build up your trust is just to answer call to arms requests from your ally. After a couple of them, trust should be pretty damn high. http://www.paradoxian.org/eu3wiki/Trust [editline]1st June 2012[/editline] In fact this is the way I normally create alliances. I generally keep one major ally who I answer all calls from. That way I keep a really strong alliance throughout most of the game. I don't know for sure, but I think the AI takes into account your alliances when deciding to declare war, so I like to keep a small coalition.

I'm trying to prevent a nation from answering another nation's call to arms against me. Only way I can in any way improve my relationship with them is by upholding my royal marriage, far as I know, and I don't know if that's enough.

If it's lower, they still might decline the call, but they are more likely to accept. This isn't CK2, where marriages play an important role in alliances, the only thing a royal marriage does is give a small boost to trust and relations, it isn't enough on its own to prevent a war.

How do you find out what version of EU3 you have? [editline]1st June 2012[/editline] Do modes above normal make the odds stacked against you, or are they more realistic? [editline]1st June 2012[/editline] Is it possible to enable multiple mods at once?
How do you not get Rebel-Raped as soon as you invade a nation?
Are you literally retarded. Those things happened in his game and anybody who even has a shred of reading comprehension could guess that without even knowing about Game of Thrones.
Not everyone has read or knows about GoT, like me. [editline]2nd June 2012[/editline] >Run the game >Probably both >Yes, merge them. >Cores.
multiplayer game with me and two friends. i am Brabant, one guy is playing as Brandenburg and the third one as Mughals. (the reason i screencapped as mughals was because otherwise i couldnt see much of eurasia, in either case last night he rage quitted because of all the rebels, all you heard on skype was him throwing his mic on the floor and quitting the game)
Current status of invading everything that hasn't been invaded yet; America And the rest of the world: [editline]2nd June 2012[/editline] I like to imagine the American's situation from their point of view in my head like it was some movie. How desperate they are getting and trying everything they can do to stop me. [editline]2nd June 2012[/editline]
CK2: I started out as leinster. My king died, my son in Dublin inherited it. Now I have Leinster and Dublin. How do I become king of Ireland and/or declare war on the other irish states. I hate this cassus belli shit. I don't care about my reputation, just declare war!
>Cores.
Thanks for the answers! How do you expedite the process of gaining core on provinces?
Whelp, the yankees finally decided to invade the islands east of miami, tried to stop the landings with the only fleet nearby which consisted of two Battlecruisers and three destroyer squadrons. The enemy fleet was forced to retreat with combined forces of the fleet and naval bombers stationed at the islands, but not before they dumped two marine divisions. Tried to drive them back with the remaining kriegsmarine division still stationed on a second island located on the same province, and hoping to atleast hold out long enought for the HQ and the other division to retreat there. The attack failed, and because I exhausted it's organisation, it was swiftly forced to surrender when the americans launched counterattack. Oh well, the ending of the siege of Washington DC makes up for it. Keep in mind that there were 1-3 divisions more, but they were obliterated as the assault continued. [editline]1st June 2012[/editline] Is it possible to enable multiple mods at once?
The modes above normal begin penalizing you in various ways, while giving bonuses to the AI. It doesn't change the way the AI acts. It doesn't make it more realistic, it makes it more fair since the AI can be sort of stupid sometimes.
How do you not get Rebel-Raped as soon as you invade a nation?
The question is, why are you being rebel-raped as soon as you invade a nation? Are you over-extended? Do you have high war exhaustion? Are there a bunch of provinces with the nationalism modifier? Is your infamy over the limit?
Thanks for the answers! How do you expedite the process of gaining core on provinces?
The best way to get cores is to wait for the "boundary dispute" event to fire. It can happen randomly when you own a province, that is also a core, that borders another nation that has a province that is not your core. It turns that province into a core and gives you a CB. That, however, is a very slow process because the MTTH is 5000 months, modified by stuff like ruler diplomacy rating and if the other nation is considered a rival. Basically just wait the 50 years, and make sure you don't over-extend yourself because if rebels take enough land and shit they can defect or declare independence.

I'm pretty sure I had high infamy, because I had annexed Luxembourg and Austria and taken a few provinces from Belgium (I'm playing DAO alternate). [editline]2nd June 2012[/editline] Also how do I find out my war exhaustion? [editline]2nd June 2012[/editline] Stability 2, Prestige 88, Infamy 36.6, Legitimacy 24. [editline]2nd June 2012[/editline] And I have German Noble Rebels, German Peasant Rebels and Swiss Nationalists.

Annexing costs like 7 infamy, and then something like 3 more per province. If you vassalize, then force annexation 10 years later it costs a measly 2 or 3 infamy per province. It is slower since you can only annex once every 10 years, but it makes gaining more land much more manageable. I personally only take provinces in a war, and only if I get an infamy reduction from the CB. If I can annex, I will vassalize instead so I can mitigate that infamy. [editline]2nd June 2012[/editline] Also, I can't remember how to find war exhaustion during peace, but if it's during a war you can click the little shield icon above the minimap(near the message tray thingy) and it will show the war capacity, war exhaustion, and warscore of every country involved in that particular war.

Here, watch some of this guy's videos. They helped me, and they should help you because he's playing as a count in Ireland as well.
Flailing around attacking everybody is what made Ireland the sole world superpower and colonizer of Earth in EU3. It shall work in CK2. It always works.
Flailing around attacking everybody is what made Ireland the sole world superpower and colonizer of Earth in EU3. It shall work in CK2. It always works.
EU3 is not CK2.
After finally getting the rest of the Center Armygroup transported across the Atlantic, I switched it to A.I to get off this burden of commanding everything from me. After the hell of Eastern front I fully trust these guys to do the job. And the heer aims to please. Here's the might of the Kriegsmarine patrolling off the coast of Saudi-Arabia after reports of attacks on friendly merchants (because the Italy's navy is being loyal to history, and being useless pants-on-head retarded cowards)
You had to have cheated or used save game editing, you had to. I hope you did.
You had to have cheated or used save game editing, you had to. I hope you did.
Yeah, he definitely did. Notice how he has 99999 of many resources. That's the max.

This video helped me a bit. It's fast, but you can always pause it.
Yeah, he definitely did. Notice how he has 99999 of many resources. That's the max.
You can get that normally in the game. Germany has a natural surplus of energy, and has a lot of steel as well. The oil could be gotten from the USSR and Balkans.
