Again with the reading comprehension. You don't need to know about GoT to know that those weren't spoilers, as I already said.

You both are idiots, the resource counter can only go up to 99999, and then stops there.
And I'm playing as Germany for christ's sake, I defeated russia, how the hell I WOULDN'T have all this shit?

And I have researched the resource-related techs like nuts
You got nukes?
I live in Elko, Nevada, so a nuke there would be hilarious.
In EU3 if you take a province in a war that no one has core on, then there will be no nationalists, right?
EDIT: Nope, still nationalists.
Also, where do peasant rebels come from?
Also, where do peasant rebels come from?
The farms, obviously. :v:

General discontent. Nationalism may make them pop up, war exhaustion may make them pop up, etc.
They want less serfdom and more decentralization.
Also, nationalism happens whenever you annex a non-core province through war or diplomacy. There is absolutely no getting around it.

Any way to end it sooner than >1 million years? I can't have soldiers sitting in those provinces forever. . .
Any way to end it sooner than >1 million years? I can't have soldiers sitting in those provinces forever. . .
Man, it's only 25 years, and it goes down progressively over time. You don't need troops in every province anyways. Just keep one large army in your occupied territory and play rebel wack-a-mole, after a few years the revolt risk will be negligible.
[editline]3rd June 2012[/editline]
The whole point of nationalism and cores is to prevent exactly what I suspect you are trying to do. ;)
Any way to end it sooner than >1 million years? I can't have soldiers sitting in those provinces forever. . .
I've found keeping 1-2 armies entirely for hunting rebels really useful in this case.
Any way to end it sooner than >1 million years? I can't have soldiers sitting in those provinces forever. . .
They aren't as pressing of an issue as you think. You probably have time to finish a battle, sail back, do a lap around your country, and still get there with time to spare.
Ever gotten creeped out when seconds before you are about to declare war on a country you discover that their spies just incited a revolt in your nation?
I was doing well in Victoria 2 for once as Prussia. I had survived an early 1840 war with an Austro-Franco-German state party alliance so I could get Austria out of German affairs and won somehow and created the Confederation but I went stagnant for 30 years until I had enough power to defend myself against France and it's allies for Alsace-Lorrien. I won that war after 5 long years of fighting back across the Rhineland but by then Austria had went and gotten Baravia under it's sphere again and I had to go to war again which I could not win.
Then France declared war again with new allies such as Russia and I got streamrolled across 3 fronts :( It feels worse because half of France's allies were also my allies and they betrayed me...
You got nukes?
No, not yet. Still have to research the "Civil Nuclear Research" tech couple of times, althought I have my first nuclear reactor up and running in Leipzig.
Well, back on conquering the ever-loving-SHIT out of America.
Since everything else save for navy and my super1337elite fallschirmjägers are under A.I control, I am free to be as strategical genius as possible.

Meanwhile our dear fleet encounters the remains of French navy (and the silly twats are risking the very integrity of reality by not surrendering).

Around this time I finished transporting Army Group South into Miami, but they won't be seeing any action soon. Because the backbone of the USA's military has been broken long ago, and nothing can stop the Wehrmacht steamroll.
Meanwhile we sink our first carrier ever

I doubt you cheated, but (unless HOI3 doesn't have difficulty) you are probably playing on one of the easiest difficulty settings.
From experience, I know it's hard as shit to invade America, simply because of the distance. You cannot get supplies over there quick enough.
If anyone hasn't tried it yet "RandomHoI" generates random countries on the map, it's really sweet you can set anything to random and use the add new nations mod if you want hundreds of nations in the map. It actually makes Hearts of Iron 3 pretty cool.

Playing on Normal. The invasion of America was piss easy due to them earlier dumping like fucktons of troops in Persia, which then were pretty much obliterated. They had naval superiority back then, so I couldn't do much stopping their transport runs other than sending couple of submarines and naval bombers along with interceptors, hoping to atleast put a scratch on the paintjob.
There were absolutely pathetic amount of groundforces left in North American continent. I recall there being only around one army group (3-5 divisions/3 corps/3 armies/armygroup). However due to quite good panzer and infantry techs, I only had to worry about holding the line until more troops got shipped across the atlantic.

Ah, so basically, the AI went stupid.
I find it funny how when I play Darkest Hour, despite the massive ground armies and huge navies they can field, the USA neglects to build ANYTHING even once the war is on.
And of course you murdered them overseas. I guess they wasted all their troops fighting over there rather than on the homeland.
Whenever I play USA, I wait for the war to come to me. It's ten times easier fighting on the home turf when they have to send their troops and vehicles by boats.

Would that have stopped the US? That whole army on the west is American, wouldn't they just invade Britain first or do you mean they would be delayed so I would have time to finish of the USSR(Which I was winning pretty easily before I was invaded).

It would have stopped US easily, and it would increase tremendously the treshold of launching a amphibious assault in france or england. And if you have built and planned your things right, you should have no trouble of lifting some divisions from reserve and shipping to the UK islands to throw the invasion back to sea. It's kind of a huge buffer zone between you and the America.

Indeed you did, no-one leaves UK uninvaded in any game when playing as axis country, they can be a huge pain in the ass if left unattented, and are pretty much impossible to invade past 1941
Has anyone hear played Swords of the Stars II?
it's honestly a very deep, space-themed game if you can get into it
it has the slow pace and deep feel of any Paradox-published title

At release It crashed a lot so I never went back, I prefer Endless space.
I need to play a new game of EU3. I sort of want to play an Italian minor and unite Italy, but I can't decide which one...Milan might seem like a good choice...

I made the mistake of buying it the moment it was released, and was scarred for the rest of my life.
Currently waiting for some total conversion mods or something that changes the looks of the ships, too Star Trek for my tastes.
[editline]3rd June 2012[/editline]
Hell, the techs are what are too Star Trek for me, I don't want zip-zap-babedy-bap bullshit. I want manly deckguns and loud thundering booms as they slug ammunition made of humanity's pure hatred of everything living that isn't human.
it's a lot more stable and playable now, thanks to near-daily patches, i've put a few hours into it and had a lot of fun; i enjoy its slower pace as well, gives me time to think
oh yeah, has anyone played Achtung Panzer: Kharkov 1943? damned good RTT game published by Paradox interactive and developed by a bunch of Ukrainian guys
DW's cascading alliance system makes France 10x as hard to play for a newb.
