CKII - GoT patch out

:o
I just learned of this mod a few minutes ago and I didn't know much about this game at all until now. Now I can't wait for a steam sale.
So I've been neglecting EU3 for a while, started a game as Lubeck running the MEIOU mod (I can't play EU3 any other way these days) and I keep getting the same two missions; bring England into your trade league and get polish grain trade rights. The trouble is even at the maximum relations both options are set at Impossible. Any ideas of how I can get them to play ball?
at that point i just open up the console and tag ENG or tag POL
Didn't like MEIOU, I tried but I just found it too clunky.
Death and Taxes works fine as an improved vanilla for me.
After reading that you get a permanent trade bonus if you gain Polish grain rights, I'm getting really annoyed at Poland. IT'S JUST WHEAT LET ME TRADE IT YOU SELFISH FUCKS.
Also the changelog for v.0.1.1 for the GoT mod looks really promising. also the perfect excuse to attempt a House Targaryen playthrough. Time to get my incest on.
I decided to give CK2 another shot a little while ago because of all the updates since I last played and damn, so much fun now! I started as a custom Occitan countess "de Marseille" only in Melgueil and moved on up through the generations until I was Duke of Provence-Toulouse-Auvergne-Dauphine-Genoa. The French King wanted to take Toulouse from me and one long war and thousands of dead soldiers later I humiliated him and became King of Aquitaine and forced the inheritance of Savoie. Just recently I placed my son-in-law as the Duke of Burgundy after another war with France and now I want to retake my ancestral title of Mallorca.

I wanted to post a larger Europe picture but I don't even understand what the hell is going on past HRE's eastern border and Spain is a mess.

I think I see spain broken up and mostly muslim more often than not in CK2, which is nice considering the amount of grief Castille has given me in EU3.
It wouldn't be logical for peasants to demand decentralization, though.
"Oppress us at the local level!"
It totally makes sense though
Just look at how many FPers support ron paul

Mmmm 9 player multiplayer game is very interesting.
I could have sworn that peasant rebels demand decentralization as well. I could be mistaken, though.
Not according to the rebel page on the wiki, at least. I'm fairly sure all they demand is simply a step towards free subjects (and tax reduction, I think) when you negotiate with them.
If anyone is struggling with CK2 there is a very good LP over on Something Awful
In EU3 I lose a lot of prestige because of Unlawful Imperial Territory. What can I do about it? When I leave HRE, I lose those provinces.

And what are the penalties of having army bigger than supply limit allows?

Become Emperor, do so by VASSALISING, not conquering. You dun goofed not getting out of the HRE immediately if you're doing to play colouring book.
Big army just means increased supply cost, if you have money it's fine.

So it's rather impossible to unificate Italy/Germany without having unlawful territory?
[editline]5th June 2012[/editline]
Actually it is possible.

Currently building little "secret" bases here and there, with maximum anti-air, land fortresses, and infrastructure + airfields & factories. I like to imagine they are these crazy nazi secret experimental factories and labs from Wolfenstein.
[editline]5th June 2012[/editline]
Here's one of the dupersupersekrit bases, behold! Fort Killarney! The secret base for developement of strategic missiles and a base of nuclear research.

Everything done and conquered, and I was given the chance to declare victory. And so I did.

I was only 0.30 away from getting my first nuclear bomb. But oh well, knowing the magnificent bastards of the administration, they will surely test it on some poor tosser hiding in one of the last few remaining allied islands, in the pacific. I mean, how else we are going to show the world the terrifying power of atomic weapons?. Everyone seems to be researching them.
We will conclude this story of glorious german asskicking with this beautiful overview of the greatest map painting simulator ever. Smeismastger, signing off.

I'm gonna start helping out on the Crusader Kings 2 wiki a little bit. Some of the articles were written by people who have little or no grasp of the English language, so I'm going to edit them so they'll be more accessible and so they're make more sense. A lot of the stuff there is actually unreadable.

In an alternate universe, Bavaria grabs Tirol, whilst Scotland and Bohemia grow into major powers.
(1462)
Btw, what is more advisable, forming Germany or the HRE as a long term goal?

Speaking of Bohemia, they had half of Eastern Europe in my game up until around 1600 where Austria went to war with them over something. In the war they had to release nations that comprised half their territory and afterward they were beat down to about as much territory that they start with in 1399, roughly one third of what they had before the war with Austria happened.
Speaking from experience I would say Germany. You get cores on every single province in the Germanic culture group once you form it. Not only that, you'll suffer little to no infamy for reconquering every one. Since they'll already cored, you'll get all the buildings intact which will give you insane amount of money and a larger manpower pool/forcelimits.
Hnnng, fuck you HoI 3 diplomacy A.I, using intellegience to make Denmark very threatening to EVERYONE. But when I declare war on it, my diplomacy A.I goes completely duschwein mental retardness beyond comprehension and starts fucking declaring war to everyone and their grandmothers.

Here's a glimpse from a new game set on "hard" difficulty.

IIRC wasn't there once a thread where a Creative Assembly representative and a Paradox Developer started arguing in a thread about how poorly made Empire Total war was?
Empire was a disgrace TBH
I blame sega more than CA. Sega, no doubt rushed it out.
Ugh, most of the articles on the CK2 wiki are written by the founder, who is Russian. I don't feel like going through every single article and proofreading them just so they can be somewhat readable. I just don't want to leave them as they are because it's the largest wiki for the game and CK2 is confusing for new players, so it's good for people to have a place to go for help.
