Final result of a 1399-1821 game with the Teutonic Order, by 1800 I was able to blitz France and conquer all of their core provinces within a year.
I miss the 'alienattack' cheat from HOI2, that was fun
I wonder if there's a mod for HOI3 which forces neutralities of all countries to zero.
Press the tilde button (~) and type ''noneutrality''?
Press the tilde button (~) and type ''noneutrality''?
It only sets the neutrality of the country you're playing as. I'm talking full on no neutrality for all countries from the beginning.
Argh.
Playing as the USA (Having started as Texas and become a state) in AHD. Spent the first 15 years or so driving the Mexicans down into central America and claiming North America as my own. Russia joined in on the fun in exchange for a region of Mexico (Odd.), but then just as I'm mopping up around Mexico City, the damned Confederates secede from the union and because most of my military is busy murdering mexicans they have plenty of time to organise themselves and take a large area around Cincinnati.
I mobilise and push them out of Texas and Virginia, focusing my forces into two or three very large stacks and gradually push through Virginia and Carolina to Florida. They mercilessly slaughter my Mexican War veterans in Texas and we move in for a final massive battle in Huntington. I win. I chase their army through the CSA to finish them off, leaving me enormously exhausted.
Suddenly new confederate armies spring up fucking everywhere and form into another 30 unit stack pushing towards Washington.
And then the British declare war on me.
Oh, fuck off game.
Better start learning the words to 'Dixie'....

I like the Maps used in the new Paradox games, especially HOI3, makes it easier to see what areas countries have. Plus if you make screen shots you don't have to label them.
I can't wait for Crusader Kings on that note, you can rename provinces and supposedly leaders and such. With a little modding maybe we can finally get a custom nation mod.
You'd have to manually put them in and then randomize until they'd fit into the appropriate country, so no. :v: I did name the divisions after some of the stuff I know about on the forum.
Also here's the last few images from that save, all taken before the first one

Final stage of the war that was started by a Facepunch diversion in which Bavaria and Liberia took the majority of opposition's territory and Pakistan was liberated. Our expeditionary corp got the honor to be the first army that walked into the enemy capital.

Hamburg was the last nation standing. It's capital got steamrolled by Kyushu and that other nation a month after the war ended.

And Facepunchia before FRG(I think) invaded it. :v:
Is that a world randomizing mod? If so, want.
Started my first playthrough of Victoria II as somebody other than France! Now I'm Prussia. I've been getting far more in depth with trade and diplomacy and it makes the game a lot more interesting.
With France you didn't need to monitor that stuff because you were guaranteed to get a strong economy and military with virtually no effort.
When I played as France I actually got in a huge war in 1839 between me, the Dutch, and the British. Though they took control of my west African and South American colonies, I fucked up mainland Holland. I also had to fight off a British invasion. They went through Hanover and Prussia with a force 1/3 bigger than mine, but I played the old "chokepoint" card in Alsace-Lorraine were you form a small, impenetrable defense line. I slaughtered them and took control of Dutch Java. So far, it was one of my greatest military victories.
I also started World War 1 against the NGF and called all of my allies. It was one fucked up WWI though, because the Americans sided with the Germans and I was with the Austrians. It was a fucking huge war and I got my colonies taken over again, but we conquered mainland Europe. We forced Germany to hand over a portion of it's massive West African colony to me while my allies were given large chunks of Germany.
I've been looking for other Paradox Interactive games but don't want to spend more money than I need to. HOI: Darkest Hour sounded good. Any other games I should look into?

I still have 30% victory over the CSA and they keep requesting white peace (Which is their war goal...). I may have to let them have the south while I deal with the bastard British without losing too much territory.
I love Rome, I have to say, I absolutely do!
So I'm playing as Rome and then I went to a war with Macedonia as my goal directed me towards it, so I did. This decides that the Populists need to cast a civil war calling me back and killing them on the boot of italy.
Now when I do this and am cleaning up the mess the Roman Rebels made a 20k stack of barbians comes from the top and destroys one of my colonies on the entrance to the boot, I then go up there and proceed to kick their ass respectively.
In under a month the same fucking dolt decides to create another Civil war which I promptly put down, then I execute the motherfucker, what does this lead to? Tyranny up and another Civil war by the populists, led by his son, I then destroy the civil war and execute his son, leading to ANOTHER CIVIL WAR.
This all happened within 10 years from the games starting point.
God I love it.

what mod?
Mount & blade warband
16 hours of work completely destroyed by a single couched lance. I was winning that fight too, but my troops cant simply do shit without a commander.
Lost a huge 120 man army, all my money except 3000, all my armor, all the companions.
These games are like a digital enhanced version of Risk.
My town has 170 heads of cattle. ohh yeah.
Just bought Victoria II.
Which small nation should I lead to global prominence?
:V
Questions? Yeah I've got one
How the FUCK do I play this shit

Experiment, see what certain things do, carefully observe the changes taking place on the screen etc.
Shouldn't Sots be listed as well. COnsidering they're the publisher for Kerberos and all.

Try to comprehend a tutorial without your head exploding.
I've owned Vicky2 for a year now and I'm still finding out what some shit does, and Vicky2 is one of the less complex Paradox games.

There's a Mount & Blade thread :v:
This thread is for the games they actually develop (Various Grand Strategy titles, many of which can have their save files transferred between games (Previous generations officially, now with fan tools) giving you a full time span of about 1066-1965.
As opposed to the games they publish (Mount & Blade - Taleworlds, Magicka - Arrowhead).
I'm not sure if they still run GamersGate but they certainly founded it.
My USA predicament went surprisingly well. Made peace with the British and CSA with ease, ceding Washington state to the British (No major loss) and gaining Kentucky and Oklahoma. By the time the truce with the confederates ran out, I'd lined their borders with three large armies and dozens of cavalry regiments for capturing provinces. They were only able field two large armies, both of which were quickly surrounded and wiped out.
Another 10 years of granting statehoods, expanding my sphere and bringing Hawaii and Alaska into the union (Russia's holdings in Mexico came free with Alaska), so in 1866 there would be 50 stars on the flag. Missing Washington, including some region of Mexico. Then I invaded them and took Chihuahua. If border friction was a casus belli in EU3, then it's good enough for me.
Started as Omen. Got a decent army and steamrolled Yemen and Abu Dhabi.
But then like half the world declared war on me and I got fucked over :C

Zulu.
I'll try that next :V

:V
One of the minors in India. Starting out as a British satellite and surrounded all round by other GB satellites.

Remember to watch your infamy closely.
I've been thinking of ending my France game early. It's the late 1490s' and I unified most of the French culture provinces minus Provence, Avignon and what's left of Burgundy. I turned France into a empire and mostly nowadays I spent my time assisting the Irish kingdoms every decade or so against English expansion, which is starting to become a tedious chore every time it happens.
I've been thinking of starting a new game as the Inca and see how long I can last before I get screwed over by the Europeans. :v:
I'll try that next :V
The most I've done with them is winning a war against the British, and pissing of the Portuguese claiming their colonies. Also invaded Transvaal in order to stimulate my education system.
Darkest Hour: A Hearts of Iron Game is so much fun, the WW1 mode is great. Basically what happened to me as Germany:
>1914
>Germany
>Attack Belgium and Dutch
>Conquer them
>Meanwhile the Russians are kicking my ass, fall back and made a Defensive line
>Western Front progress is going shit
>Stalemate
>Then mass Rebellions in Netherlands
>French and Belgium attack rebels over-taking my my territores
>Dutch make a suprise naval landing
>Take my territores
>Western Front collapses
>King Wilhem 2 abdicates
>German Empire becomes Germany
>Treaty of Versaiiles occurs 3 years early
‎>Lose my colonies
>Lose alot of men
>Mass Rebellions in Germany
>Ecenomy is fucked.
But after investing in Industry and Combat Rebels, Germany is coming along.
>Invade Austria
>Have my armies stationed in Austria to supress Rebels
Why do Japan keep funding rebels in Austria? I'm getting annoyed at Japan and I'll go invade them later.
Currently Late 1916-Early 1917
