Ok ok I fixed it cool you're tits!!!
I for one, welcome our Bohemian masters.
I noted Burgundy is starting to pick up traction in France, possibly hinting at reunification.
Playing as Russia in Victoria generally ends bad for me. For starters, I reform the economy so quickly that even the peasants at 95% tax are getting their luxury needs, meaning there's no way in hell the Soviet Union will form. And because of my efforts in reforming the economy no one is willing to become a soldier.

do you guys cheat to get money and manpower when you play eu3?
do you guys cheat to get money and manpower when you play eu3?
You cannot cheat in manpower (as far as I know) but everything else is cheatable, and because I suck, I often use those cheats.
I once used cheats in HoI 3 so I could nuke all of Europe constantly in 1944. Who needs V2's.
do you guys cheat to get money and manpower when you play eu3?
I sometimes save my nation from annexation by loading the save and offering peace by playing the country I'm at war at for 1 ingame day.
can anyone explain how the trading system works in games like europa universalis and crusader kings?
I sometimes save my nation from annexation by loading the save and offering peace by playing the country I'm at war at for 1 ingame day.
I do this, but only when an AI stubbornly refuses to accept a peace deal when they very clearly should.
can anyone explain how the trading system works in games like europa universalis and crusader kings?
CK2 doesn't have a trading system, EU3's is dependent on which expansion you're running as one of them introduced Centers of Trade, which is a pretty hefty overhaul from vanilla if I remember correctly.
Can't buy, need to be an American in order to buy games from Amazon. :c I really wantthe last games I don't have.
Just do what I and a couple of thousand other Redditers do and use a fake American address.
So I bought stars and stripes for hoi3 since I wanted to be an arsenal of democracy. I don't know what's up, but I guess it's not downloaded or something. It's not in the mod folder like it should be and I don't know what's up. Can anyone help me? [editline]4th July 2012[/editline] Nevermind. Fixed it. Had to view integrity of game cache for it to show up as a missing item.
Can't buy, need to be an American in order to buy games from Amazon. :c I really wantthe last games I don't have.
Change your billing address to a fake american one, buy the games, change it back (or not)
http://www.amazon.com/Plethora-of-Paradox-Games-Download/dp/B008G0ZVLE/ref=zg_bs_229575_16 There's also this for anyone not interested in sword of the stars. It's $20 instead of $12.50 but also contains all the CK2 DLC, Majesty 2, Majesty 1 (gold), and something called Warlock: Master of the Arcane.
Strangest game of CK2 I've played yet
Everyone should be Cathar, it makes counties a beautiful shade of lilac.
can anyone explain how the trading system works in games like europa universalis and crusader kings?
In EU you send traders to a Center of Trade and they make money afaik.
Strangest game of CK2 I've played yet
I remember sitting in my history class learning about the days when France was divided into the kingdoms of Poitou, France, Navarra, and Jerusalem.

Filthy not-fancy-borders plebian. [editline]6th July 2012[/editline]
I sometimes save my nation from annexation by loading the save and offering peace by playing the country I'm at war at for 1 ingame day.
Or you just type tag <nationtag> in the console. How does one even get borders like that?
Does this always happen for you guys in any post Sword of Islam game?
Empires are difficult considering you have tons of vassals with large portions of power, and when a leader dies and succession happens, uh-oh here comes revolts-ahoy (most likely to happen)
Does this always happen for you guys in any post Sword of Islam game?
Mmm... easy pickings for Muslim states.
Empires are difficult considering you have tons of vassals with large portions of power, and when a leader dies and succession happens, uh-oh here comes revolts-ahoy (most likely to happen)
not really, because its elective, the vassals vote for people they like, and most of the time with the Holy Roman empire almost all the elections are land slide victories for whoever. Also even if there was revolts, the empire is so massive you would need a huge part to rival the levies they have
In EU you send traders to a Center of Trade and they make money afaik.
Yeah, no. It works like this: There are centers of trade scattered around the world. You have merchants. When you send a merchant to a CoT, he has a percent chance of being "successful" What this means is that he might gain a spot to trade at that CoT. If he is successful, your Coat of Arms will appear in the lowest tier of the CoT and he will start sending back a percentage of his earnings every month. If he is not, he will return to you. The higher tier you are in (you gain more by sending more merchants) the more money you will make. Having a monopoly is good for large empires, but can only be acquired later in the game. The reason for this is that CoT's have only a certain number of slots for merchants. When all slots are occupied, your merchant must compete and oust another merchant from another country. He then gains that countries spot. However, be watchful, as the same can happen to your merchant. Now, each CoT differs a bit. The ones with less money will yield less gold per turn, but are easy to gain access to. Ones with more gold will have more merchants, so it will be a lot harder to access them.
not really, because its elective, the vassals vote for people they like, and most of the time with the Holy Roman empire almost all the elections are land slide victories for whoever. After giving the French a beating and taking Aragon from them I was finally able to form the Empire of Hispania. Delicious Christian tears.
