Playing Kaiserreich for Darkest hour. Going to invade Britain with only Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Cavalry units with Police attachments. I'm having infantry with AT guns and some Artillery here and there as support. But I'm sure the mounties will be enough.

So who's up for some EU 3 multiplayer? So far I've only been able to connect via hamachi or lan, but it works well enough that way... as long as you clear your map cache every single time you connect. At any rate, add me on skype or steam if you are interested. My username is the same as it is here. edit: Got 2 people already, could use at least 2 more.
Some weird shizzle is going on in my game of HoI2:Arma... I'm playing as the U.S. and I'm in a war with the Guangxi Clique (don't ask why? xD) but when trying to attack from any of the Nationalist China provinces, I'm denied movement? (I have military access in Nationalist China btw)
Great, the Polish queen gave birth to the new Byzantine Emperor who inherited Poland and now Croatia and Hungary aren't the main players in defending against the Greece-holding Fatimid Caliphate anymore. It wouldn't be so bad on my end if I didn't annex a couple of Western provinces as Croatia from Byzantium a couple of decades ago, plus Poland was my trusty ally for some 40 years. One the other side of the continental frontier Castille and Aragon are completely out of the picture and the Emirs reduced them to a handful of provinces, Making France and possibly minor duchies in the West plus kingdom of England the main defenders. If HRE wouldn't be in so much problems internally it would probably manage to team up with other kingdoms to make enough punch to push the muslims out of at least Hispania. The Muslim situation in Sicily is under their, Genovan, Tuscan and Croat control, tho.

I saw Aragon take Seville one time but Castille seems more interested in claiming a non-existent Galicia and attacking Navarre. Might get better though, I'm about 1200 and not only have the Seljuks completely fallen apart, the Pope actually managed to launch a proper Crusade without getting raped by doomstacks. Also I really should stop trying to marry strategically. The Queen of Ruthenia was almost overrun and happily married her only son to my first daughter matrilineally thinking I'd come and help, nope. She died, her son inherited the Duchy of Kiev and my heir moved to Kiev. The children were of my dynasty but they were Russian Orthodox, not good for an Irish Catholic people.

Here's my latest run as Italy. My aim for EU III is to have some sort of Roman Empire, spanning its original borders + most of Northern Africa. I'm going to attempt to play this to 1830, and use save converters to move on to vicky II and HoI3. Hopefully, by the end of it, I'll hold 100% of provinces in the world. (Rather easy to do in HoI3 if I get a good Roman Empire going before then)
Italy is for chumps, bring on Barrois earth!
Italy is for chumps, bring on Barrois earth!
As amusing as that would be, I don't think Vicky II and HoI3 have Bar as a nation, which means that converting it will probably default it to France or somesuch. That just wouldn't be fun.
Is there a semi-decent way to convert from EUIII to Vic2 to HoI:3? I wonder if you could even convert CKII to EUIII and play one continuous game from 1066 to 1951. :v:
http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?490709-EU3toVic2-Vic2toHoi3-Converter-Project There's this but don't expect it to be anywhere near decent whatsoever.
I wish I could form Germany or the HRE easier in EU III. I suck so bad at it. Trading is mostly luck based and therefore bullshit, so I always lose money.
You have to focus on going full free trade and getting the trade NIs', notably the compete chance one. The trade advisors can be a big help too. It won't be easy at first because most European countries start off heavily based on Merchantism, but before long you'll start to dominate every CoT known to man. Having a cored coastal province can be helpful too.
From what I've heard, the EU III to Vic II one works very well, and the Vic II to HoI3 still needs to iron out some flaws, mostly related to the allies/axis/comintern factions.
I usually hand edit certain countries to fit into the three factions, like how Venezuela, Colombia, Brazil and Fascist Uruguay got hand in hand with a miniature Fascist Ottomans that the Italian-American-Egyptian-Greek-Serbian-Croatian-Slovenian-Bosnian-Montenegrin-Albanian-Romanian-Persian-Iraqi-Russian coalition dismantled FOE to one state in 1918. Meanwhile France and Italy(me) + their spheres form the Allies, while the UK and the US are butthurt about everyone and Russia is pretty much status quo since 1836. Also Austria-Hungary became the only communist state after countless revolutions and Italy, Russia, Slovenia, UK and it's Hungarian "protectorate", Serbia and Romania annexed it in the final few years. And yet even after extreme countermeasures due to HoI3 converter's wonkiness, which made me create superblobs such as Mega Afghanistan, I still accidentally turn USCA into Iceland. :v:
From what I've heard, the EU III to Vic II one works very well, and the Vic II to HoI3 still needs to iron out some flaws, mostly related to the allies/axis/comintern factions.
The biggest problem in my opinion is that there is usually no recognizable Germany. The AI sucks so much ass when trying to form Germany and when/if it finally does it never uses it to it's full potential.
There really needs to be a Paradox Game where the world is randomly generated and it's high fantasy where you have races with randomly generated cultures and religions, maybe even random events. I guess it's time to keep on dreamin' [editline]wtf[/editline] Wasn't this supposed to merge with my previous post?
Playing as the NGF. Every 2 months several hundred regiments of Prussian Nationalists rise up in revolt. Against a Prussian-led North German Federation. ... :tinfoil:
Figure they dont care much for those other non-prussian Germans.
There really needs to be a Paradox Game where the world is randomly generated and it's high fantasy where you have races with randomly generated cultures and religions, maybe even random events.
A Paradox version of Dwarf Fortress?
I'd play the shit out of that.

I'm not sure what there goal is exactly, Prussia is always way better of after forming the NGF and the Reich. "We want things to be like the old days! You know, when we were all poor and still in a monarchy!"

How dare you one-up the glorious Kaiserreich with your more glorious Kaiserreich! At least mine is black, not that pussy tan color the game defaults it too.
Wasn't this supposed to merge with my previous post?
It only auto merges if the post was made with in an hour of the last.

Assuming we're talking about Austria, of course.
They weren't so glorious after I completely humiliated and occupied them for years after every single war. Assuming we're talking about Austria, of course.
What? I'm saying your German Empire is horrible and off-color when mine is an imposing black! Where does Austria come into this? Also, I heard Austria, despite the added industrial capacity, lowers literacy ratings. SO I left it alone. I will probably dissolve it if they get in another war with me. My main foe here is Russia. The Tsar is a traitor, and I will stick his head on a pike outside the Reichstag!

Anyway, Russia had a lot of alliances with Austria for me (never helped them, though) and in the last war (where I forcefully sphered them), I even had them help me in the war. I don't really mind the color, though, the worst part is that it's impossible to see if you're occupied by rebels or not. Also, my Empire spans over 100 million subjects. [editline]1st August 2012[/editline] Well, this isn't something you see every day.
