Anyone here ever bother sending out expeditions to help other nations in your faction?
Who here wages war for pretty borders more then to get the rich provinces/form nations?
But that might be because I spend way too much time on /gsg/.
It's a map-coloring simulator, that's all war is good for.
I couldn't care less about how my borders look like.

I don't understand the purpose or the classification of "pretty borders" it doesn't make any fucking sense.

Pretty much this. If I form Italy in EUIII and it doesn't have its historical borders, I get very, very upset.

"You started very well with Poland and France there. Unfortunately, it seems you have run out of paint.
Meanwhile, take a look at Jozef Stalin's handicraft! Such speed! Such elegance! And he even brought extra buckets of red paint!
And- Mussolini, what the fuck are you doing? That paint isn't even your colour, you dumbfuck. Stop throwing it all over Greece and Italy!"
I was doing good as Brandenburg but suddenly my merchants were ousted and my economy became shit after 2 years of flourishing. Now it seems my merchants fail to get spots in any CoT and I'm am almost losing money every month.
I absolutely despise trade in EU3. You need to babysit it all the time because autosend barely works (it will never send more than 1 merchant at a time, which is what usually guarantees success at a CoT) and even then it's by sheer luck whether or not you succeed.
The worst part is that money and trade are such a huge part of the game (you need them for the military, to gift other nations, send expeditions, e.t.c) and it becomes a massive pain in the ass waiting for more money. I hope EU4 is better, I really do.
It will send more than 1 merchant at a time if more than 1 slot is open and you have the equivalent number of merchants.

Most CoT have no slots open though, so you have to blitz merchants to force out the competition. Most merchants will fail but it makes it more likely that you will steal someone's seat.
I just know there has to be a better system for trade. I mean, I'm fairly sure there were other ways of doing it in the Renaissance.
they're doing it better in EU4 don't worry pal

EU IV is going to revamp the trade system any way to make it more fluid.
Is there some sort of way to help alleviate slowdowns in the final years of V2? I'm playing APD and since it's 1930 so much is going on that the game has stopped working right. So far I've had a couple crashes on the politics screen and war goals i keep adding in my current war keep disappearing from the list within a few days.
Was wondering if it was possible to trim V2 save games but I couldn't find anything online.
Everyone has complained of Vicky 2 late game slowdowns, but I have no idea what they are talking about.
I didn't even play on the gaming computer, I used my shit laptop, and it still ran fine in 1921 when I was the French Empire and got in an epic World War with the NGF.
How the dicks do I play this shit, there are buttons up the ass.
press the buttons
press the buttons
Except the ones that say "peace" and "exit"

Tutorials?
Also you can google the wiki pages for the Paradox Games.
If those don't help you at all, I will if it's a game I'm familiar with.

Vicky 2 was both unstable and slow for me until I got APD, it really upped performance for me somehow.
All the games never crash on my end.
It's only because of the APD mod, regular V2 doesn't crash or slow down at all. That's why I was hoping there was some easy way to squeeze out a bit higher performance for the last few years of the game because my computer isn't good enough to handle the full century with it.

okay. but who cares
/gsg/ does of course
I was fighting Russia to free bits of Poland to act as a partial buffer in future wars and I freed two provinces that weren't touching each other.
I turned off the game on December 23rd and redid 45-60 minutes of war to fix that shit.
okay. but who cares
Everyone but you, apparently.
