So I left HOI3 running when I went shopping, started at 1936. Got home, and it had crashed sometime after December 1st 1941 and before January '42.
Sometime between November 1941 and December 1941, everyone left the 3 Alliances, including the leaders of said alliances and are all at peace. I'm guessing that is what crashed it.

Maybe the game crashed at the December '41 Autosave and corrupted it, that is why no-one is allied and at peace.
Is the new HoI 3 expansion good? And is it buggy as hell?
It is quite good. AI is much better now and the new features make it a decent pack.
Not too many bugs either. I think its the best pack yet.

I loaded up my game from November, working fine. Germany has invaded the UK this time. Again no interference from me.
They have England and Wales but Germany decided to declare war on the Soviet Union while trying to invade the UK so they have to move troops from the island back to Europe to help fight, so the UK forces are slowly advancing south from Scotland, but Germany has taken Stalingrad and Leningrad, and are converging on Moscow so I don't think it will last long.

Mean while in Asia, the US has taken the Japanese Home islands, but the Japanese (and their Chinese allies) still hold Mainland Asia and India. That British taken territory in Indochina, is actually the French, no British troops down there.

Well the French Underground Resistances I put in Poland glitched and now they have infinite power.

So I was playing Darkest Hour, WW2 ends in 1944 after Germany is finally defeated after a very long last stand in Copenhagen.
Allies control all of Germany except 3 provinces along the Communist Poland's border.
Czechoslovakia is split in two allied West and Communist East, divided in roughly the same place as Czech Republic and Slovakia are bordered IRL.
War ends, Allied and Soviet Occupation Zones in Germany established, a month later, Czechoslovakia declares war on the Soviet Union, and they're part of the allies, they join in as well.
WW3 Begins a month after WW2 ends.

Oh Also, North and South Korea Exist, only North owns all the provinces except one, so as soon as the war started, south was annexed.

Sadly, Steam Overlay doesn't work with Darkest Hour, and I didn't even think to use print screen, I'll start doing that now.
Here are 2 shots two years after the war started.
Within the year Czechoslovakia got annexed released by both sides a couple times, same with Yugoslavia and Bulgaria. North Korea was annexed by the UK, FRG was formed out of the Allied Occupied Zone, although the AOZ seems to have a province somewhere because I still see the name pop-up in the event log once and a while.

Almost every country you see in Mainland Europe is communist.
Right now, the war is in a stalemate, because when ever the Soviet Union releases country, all their troops are expelled to the nearest friendly area, so the country that was released as no forces to hold back an allied invasion. So countries keep going back and forth from being annexed, released and so on and so forth.
have a screenshot, almost everything east of Spain is communist, except for Switzerland.
Spain, Portugal and Italy were communist, but as I said, when they get released, soviet troops are expelled, so the Americans and the Brits just moved right in.
