I'd love to get CK2 but I can't justify £30. Any idea how long it generally takes to get cheaper?

MEIOU's colonization mechanics' "Early Colonization" modifier really limits your expansion. No New World for me yet.
I don't like how there's hardly any events in CK2 and there are no long term goals like in EU3 when you could strive to form a new nation
Long term goal of CK2 is to make the greatest family dynasty. And there's quite a few events in CK. Maybe not as varied as EU3 but definitely just as many.
[B]The [/B]long term goal in CK2 for me is to have a member of your dynasty in charge of every major power. I'm using the mod that adds the empires of Iberia and Francia, and some more kingdoms like the Netherlands. More to do.

Solved my empire going to shit, turns out my ONLY son was a greedy, cruel envious wifeslayer so I assassinated him and my grandson inherited instead

Assassinate is my favourite button in this game, I assassinated 6 of my grandchildren because my heir who was married off was having too many children who would have ruined the dynasty

never played a paradox game before, and I really want to. so i'm either gonna buy EU3 or CK2. what would you guys recommend? i don't have enough money for both at the moment.

You'll realise there really isn't a lot you need to keep track of, the most important thing is vassal relations you can literally just keep an eye on that and you're good to go

Unfortunately I (USA) recieved their entire American empire with the "Buy Alaska" decision about a decade later so the culture could never adjust.
Buy Alaska option is just sad. I kinda wish it would require Russia to be in dept/have little money.
Hey I heard there was a bug with for the motherland where when you spawn a commando unit in an occupied province it will pop up in a province next to where you spawned it, and if it pops up where you have an underground cell it will destroy it?

I'd spend 5 extra dollars and buy Darkest hour, it already has a WW1 mode + a pretty good ww1 mod that extends and balances this mode. Darkest hour has a lot of really awesome mods, anyone here tried the fallout mod?

I need to play another game of EU3. My most successful was as Bavaria. I ended up surviving several fucking horrid situations, including being the first country in Europe to become protestant after revolutionaries overpowered my main armies. I had EVERYONE breathing down my neck. France was looking at me, Austria was. All my Germanic brothers didn't want to have shit to do with me...So I stayed solitary and alone. I was in debt for years until finally the line of succession had a stroke of genius and produced a heir that wasn't a fucking idiot. I ended up extending into Holland, repairing my relations with the French and Austrians and eventually colonizing parts of Africa + helping in explore the New World as well as the East. I was the first nation to explore all the way to Japan.
I love EU3, I really do, I just spend too much time on it.

Historically some women would follow their husbands to war, and in some cases like Eleanor of Aquitaine actually gained some positions of power beyond what was normal. So I'd assume she just followed you King.

Most just stayed home to take care of the castle and its respective fiefs, though.
Playing as the USA in Victoria 2.
I banned slavery in 1866, and 20 years on in 1886 24% of the population (Including former slaves) wants slavery legal again.
How do I amend this?
