I started up a Venice game in EU3 recently. Trying to maintain a trade league is more harder than I thought. One moment I'm waring to get Aquila as my vassal/league member and the next thing I know cascade alliances cause two others to leave mine and head straight for Genoa's. Goddamnit.
is there a taken/given/killed/dead manpower slide on hoi3?
is there a taken/given/killed/dead manpower slide on hoi3?
You got the reinforcements slider which replenishes your manpower depending on the IC of your country. After battle the game counts out all the men that were lost during the battle, and I think that TFH has statistic counters how many manpower a country is losing/has lost.
The Germans were going coup crazy for a while and then they started pulling assassinations. They killed J. Edgar Hoover and tried to kill Albert Einstein (the Swiss Minister of Armaments) but failed. They also killed Neville Chamberlain when he was serving as the UK's Minister of Armaments (so he never did get to serve as PM) and the British decided to replace him with Oswald Mosley.:v:
You sure you didn't leave the "acceptall" cheat on? It effects the AI as well. It causes any diplomatic choice and intelligence mission to work 100% of the time. Legacy of Rome is out!
Legacy of Rome is out!
Now to wait 6 hours for steam to put it up :(
Fucking france, what the shit we had an alliance, why the hell did you go and start WWI in 1887.
Is Crusader Kings 2 more optimized in the current version than in the demo? I just tried the demo to see if I can run it, but it runs like donkey arse. It looks fucking awesome despite the difficulty, I mean, I can play as Aragon, furthermore, the duchy of Barcelona? Hell yes I need to play this game. [editline]17th October 2012[/editline] Is Crusader Kings 1 decent? I might grab it as well just so I can play something while I can't play 2, but I don't really know if it's worth it or I should buy EU or something instead of CK1.
OH MAN! CKII WORKS FOR ME NOW
CK2 is super optimized and demos are never updated.
My laptop broke, so I have been forced to go back to my 7 year old laptop, and to play the older generation of paradox games. (CK, Vicky, Eu2, etc) Quite fun, got the King of Scotland to bag all the ducal titles and has only counts as vassals.
So because of my extreme distaste for the CK2 map, after having played Prince and the Thane, which practically doubles it, I guess I'll wait for that mod to patch before I buy the rome expansion.

Shit, I really need to pay attention to the mod scene more. Do you mind posting when PaTT updates for LoR?
No mods patched yet? Shit, I really need to pay attention to the mod scene more. Do you mind posting when PaTT updates for LoR?
It probably already has. That mod annoyingly updates like every 3 days. I united fucking Italy, took me about 140 years and about 12 wars, and then I see that the mod updates to 1.5 and adds a fuckton of awesome featuers.
I'm really digging the latest update to CK2. These new skill improvement ambitions, retinue system and faction system all add a whole bunch of cool shit to the game. Also Byzantines can now reunite christendom what
when i read about how you can declare catholcism a heresy i grinned good thing i wasn't in class or anything
Factions also make rebellions genuinely dangerous now.
Factions also make rebellions genuinely dangerous now.
Rebellions were never really dangerous if you distributed lands carefully. Vassals not having more than 3 counties and never distributing kingdoms out, also primogenitor succession is fucking mandatory if you have multiple kingdoms, unless you're an empire.

This can bump rebellion army sizes up. The largest I saw was about 11k.
I bet it'll be easier for the Turks to invade since in my games I always watch the entire Byzantine Empire go to war against the emperor.
A 1066 start sees the Byzantines in a war with the Seljuks for Armenia straight off the bat, which can be a nightmare considering the fact the Emperor's pretty old and the Byzantine Empire almost always goes to shit when he dies.
Woot got gifted legacy of rome from a buddy who saw that I play CK2 way too much. Can catholics declare Orthodox a heresy? I want to start a massive war over it since Eastern europe is weak as fuck at the start of the game, because of the rus kingdom being distributed like 6 ways.
I bet it'll be easier for the Turks to invade since in my games I always watch the entire Byzantine Empire go to war against the emperor.
I've been noticing this a lot with the French kingdom. In the end they always get their shit together and pledge allegiance back to the king/emperor though.
I've been noticing this a lot with the French kingdom. We lost the east to the Turks, and France got split in half, dissolved in a rebellion and now it's a bunch of squabbling dukes.
I wish there was a mod that dissolved every Empire, Kingdom and Duchy and made every single Count independent. Would be amazing to see how things would evolve from there.
I wish there was a mod that dissolved every Empire, Kingdom and Duchy and made every single Count independent. Would be amazing to see how things would evolve from there.
it exists already forget the name though
it exists already forget the name though
broken kingdoms?
There's two. One makes all dukes independent and one makes every single county independent.
There's two. One makes all dukes independent and one makes every single county independent.
Must. Have. Any links for the counties version?
Must. Have. Any links for the counties version?
I played it a while ago and I'm having trouble finding it on the forums. There's a chance it's no longer being updated. If you want Broken Kingdoms it can be found here
