Pretty sure you can't play theocracies Unless you're talking about EU3, in which case yeah I've seen it done
You can with some game-altering. I've seen a friend do it, but don't know how to myself.
Was playing as the Latin Empire, and I just gotta say, the Byzantines cheat like it's a fucking total war game. 6k armies out of nowhere and such. It's like, okay, I've killed about 30k of you guys now, you shouldnt be able to keep pulling guys out.
State of the World, 1100 CE (Steppe Wolf mod, cheated to turn Terra Incognito off) [t]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/576720645825822250/5F4914F7FC25E0DB41FCEF870989315C881D4784/[/t] [t]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/576720645825821173/2E053C457EB2BEAEA0ADFA73F008957E02D58D5B/[/t] [t]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/576720645825819839/8C2B2A9FDC25EEC6BBC446961C2FEB3D133C0546/[/t] [t]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/576720645825823698/58385B7430E3B5BDA5BBB39F8C293FF3B3F983B9/[/t]
So I'm playing as Australia in Vicky 2, and I just had a giant Fascist revolution... I feel bad for all the aborigines and immigrants in my country.
I like making unplausable empires in vicky 2. Like, play as sweden, ally with denmark and netherlands, wage war on spain for the phillipines.
I like making unplausable empires in vicky 2. Like, play as sweden, ally with denmark and netherlands, wage war on spain for the phillipines.
hurts my head when i even think of that
I prefer to play as Ethiopia and conquer Italy along with any african territory I can get. Not like anyone gives a fuck about Italy and Africa should be for Africans.
I like to paint the map. I once colonised the entirety of Africa as Portugal. Don't know why.
CK2 really needs a printscreen button like EU3, where it just exports a map of the whole world without UI or anything.
Is it not F10?
hurts my head when i even think of that
Fun thing with that. Off the bat you can only choose one half, unless you want infamy and to draw the war out, I chose the side with manilla in it, which lets me make 3 infantry units right away. I made a couple of boats and just sailed to Indonesia and annexed the primitive nations there. Really easy to expand in the pacific :v:
Reminds me that I need to make a Hamburger Africa sometime. Also taking on Germany as Poland while using only cavalry.
How come the AI in Victoria 2 cheats so much? I'm playing as Russia, number 1 great power, 1100 brigades, I start a war with Germany to regain lost land that they won from me while fighting Austria, France and Britian all at the same time. Instantly they send 800 fucking brigades into Plock and a further 400 all the rest of my border provinces, not only that but I take a 10/1 loss rate. WHAT THE FUCK, not only does Germany have more MP than fucking Russia but it has the ability to kill fucking everything too in the process.
Playing as Japan in Victoria 2 is like being the bullied nerd kid at school. You spend your young life being pushed around by Europe as they stop you from expanding, they flood your country with opium and they try to convert you to their heathen religions and when you finally grow up to be a great power yourself you can finally defend yourself, but depending on how things go it could be too late by that point. The dutch, british and the spanish are baka gaijins. >:( [editline]13th November 2012[/editline]
How come the AI in Victoria 2 cheats so much? Summons hundreds of militia units but can cause your economy to roll to a standstill.
They probably mobilized. Summons hundreds of militia units but can cause your economy to roll to a standstill.
I was also mobilised.
I was also mobilised.
Could be better army tech, alongside more professional armies.
Also in just about every Paradox game Germany's provinces have crazily high manpower in relation to how big they are.
Could be better army tech, alongside more professional armies.
I had almost every army tech and almost half my army were tanks.
I had almost every army tech and almost half my army were tanks.
Tanks really aren't that effective in combat aside from their shock value. Late game I tend to focus on artillery, which usually works really well.
I had almost every army tech and almost half my army were tanks.
Tanks are only worth it on the offense. They are not all that good for anything else, maybe rebel whacking and sieging but that's it. i will not stop until the whole world is vomit
Oh man, my brain. It's starting to get difficult to keep track of all my billion children and grandchildren. If one part of my bloodline is to inherit Sweden and another is to inherit Norway, what would happen? My direct heir to the throne will eventually take over Sweden if i just wait. But another bloodline who is not the heir to Denmark will be taking over Norway eventually. Will i get my control of Norway, or will i lose that part of my bloodline? Im confused as fuck right now. Will i need to have sexy time with my own family to unite Sweden/Denmark/Norway then?

HOWEVER if your heir inherits a kingdom and then you die, you'll then both have their kingdom and your own kingdom. As for Emperors I really have no idea, I don't tend to gain territory as an empire by marrying around.

So the kingdom you inherit doesn't get absorbed into your old kingdom? They remain 2 seperate kingdoms, with a single king? Or am i misunderstanding something.
Oh wait a second. So the kingdom you inherit doesn't get absorbed into your old kingdom? They remain 2 seperate kingdoms, with a single king? If you marry the ruler of a kingdom into your dynasty, but not to your heir, he will only become your ally because he is not your successor.

You'll only control them if it's a vassal that is a rank below you when they inherit. The new heir will become an independent ruler, but the two kingdoms will share dynasty. It's the same with the Rurikoviches in the Russian states. Edit: Wow, I'm late.
My old duke buddy declared independence on me. What a bastard. How did he think his tiny 500 man army could withstand me?! He had 60 in relations, what is he doing. [editline]14th November 2012[/editline] Oh my god, what. He just pulled a 4000 man army out of his ass.
Yep. I've begun noticing that that's happening a lot in CK2.

Mercenaries?
