Quick question, is there a mod out for Victoria 2 that allows you to make one small region wherever you please, and start from there, or to randomize each country on the world map?
That sounds just like Fantasia, I think? http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?639032-A-Fantasy-Divided This got linked in here before
Wow... Got any pictures of the political landscape? Realms? Cultures? Religions?
I'll take some pictures late tonight after I'm done with some homework. Everything's so fucked up. Byzantines have been trying to suppress Wallachia for nearly fifty years and can't do it, France has been demolished almost completely. There's not much else for religion, especially Christianity. You're either Orthodox, Waldensian, or you're kingdoms still relishing in their Catholic ways. Did I mention Muslims came up through the Black Sea and are taking over a large portion of lands there? And the Mongols are sacking cities left and right. Moscow has been sacked (and the Cathedral of Saint Sophia was burned to the ground), iirc Jerusalem was sacked by the Mongols too.
Here you all go. Since I took these pictures, Bonuslo, my old king passed away and his son Jakob III inherited. The HRE declared war on me again, stripping me of my last honorable title, the Duchy of Transylvania, which my family owned for all their lives. The Kingdom of Hungary is only four provinces large now. RIP Arpad dynasty and the kingdom of Hungary. Poland has also been destroyed by Muslims. The Teutonic Order bought out Kiev from me, though. How solid is Legacy of Rome in terms of any bugs or oddities introduced? Interested to know since an earlier mention about rebels getting a disproportionately large amount of soldiers joining them through events or something like that

Retinue system is incredible and it secures you from sacrificing your own nobles in battles.

So a week ago I mention Victoria II to my 19th Century European History professor, and he sort of laughed when I said there was a video game he might appreciate but he said he'd check it out. Sure enough the next week I come into class and he walks over and excitedly tells me how impressive and accurate the game looks and that he's considering getting it or Vic I. :D
Cheating is when you build the level 5 and 6 buildings for trade in all your provinces.
might as well go balls out if im cheating, then

I have been intrested in paradox games for a while. And if i understood correctly CK2 is a bit more easier to play/learn than earlier titles?
I have been intrested in paradox games for a while. And if i understood correctly CK2 is a bit more easier to play/learn than earlier titles?
Most certainly correct.
Most certainly correct.
Shit sounds great. I always liked paradox games but im not smart enough to wrap my head around the entire game. Should go try the demo of Crusader kings 2
It doesn't have as much weird complexity as the economy in Vicky 2 or troop organisation in HoI3. There is a lot that's different from other titles so you need to change the way you think about how you play, but it's not complex once you learn it.
Shit sounds great. I always liked paradox games but im not smart enough to wrap my head around the entire game. Im suprised i can learn SS13 or Dwarf Fortress but i cant learn a game like HoI3 or Hoi2(only ones i have tried to be honest)
Im suprised i can learn SS13 or Dwarf Fortress but i cant learn a game like HoI3 or Hoi2(only ones i have tried to be honest)
I still can't get my head around HoI even after playing over 40 hours of CK2, don't worry about it.

By a miracle of the Lord, the Arpad dynasty survives. Jakob III fought off several civil wars, (falling into debt again) and finally beat back the entire Swiss Band of invaders almost singlehandly. Jakob was bestowed the title of Lionheart at the ripe old age of 55. Jakob the Lionheart married the daughter of the Empress of the Byzantine empire in hopes of protection against the incoming HRE. Unfortunately, he has yet to have another son as both of them were killed by an errant, angry man thousands of miles away who wants my first born daughter to live to the throne. I can only hope Jakob's new Byzantine woman will provide for him a son. For the glory of Hungary! edit: Jakob passed away from Great Pox at 57, he finally had a son. HRE came and took the last bit of valuable things left for me. Is there anyway I can make it so my kingdom is just like a county? I want to be just a lowly count and swear fealty to someone.
Question: Is there a fix for Hearts of Iron 3, so the Instantresearch cheat won't affect all countries, but just the one the player has selected.
Question: Is there a fix for Hearts of Iron 3, so the Instantresearch cheat won't affect all countries, but just the one the player has selected.
You could make a custom event, that's what I did when I wanted to mess around.
Im suprised i can learn SS13 or Dwarf Fortress but i cant learn a game like HoI3 or Hoi2(only ones i have tried to be honest)
Funny thing. I mastered Victoria 2 in two days, CK2 in a week, and EU3...kinda, still learning. But I have yet to even a decent understanding of any Hearts of Iron game, and I try to play it once a week for an hour.

This is where the true Paradox armchair generals come from, as the most effective army is not the one that's a doom stack. The most effective army is the one that has a proper command structure, uses an effective support and assault unit combination, never doomstacks, properly spreads out supplies, adjusts itself to all situations smoothly, and dodges as many penalties thrown at it by either the attacker or the defender.
Crusader Kings, Europa Universalis, and Victoria are much more about your nation, economy, relations, prestige, etc. Hearts of Iron is much more in-depth when it comes to combat, situational awareness, rebellions, and war.
Just fuck, man. I really want to destroy the kingdom of hungary so I can get out and carry on my playthrough as the Arpad family.
for some reasons me and my friends cant play multiplayer anymore they cant join my server anymore, they always used to be able to do that any ideas? this is eu3 btw
Use Hamatchi
That doesn't even work when I try it.
Just fuck, man. I really want to destroy the kingdom of hungary so I can get out and carry on my playthrough as the Arpad family.
Maybe go elective and vote for someone else?
Or maybe get the kingdom of Croatia, then give away Hungary?
