Glimmars steampunk pack is great too.
I've tried various texture packs, I like custom painterly the best. I haven't tried anything more than 16x16. 32x32 looks ok, but any higher than that starts to look really stupid IMO
Rated Optimistic because I use stock MC textures with re-done items.
Not really, I just edited the glass to not have lines. I don't like using texture packs in multiplayer, because i build things that look good with one pack, and look awful in others.
I do, I just like the look of new things, I do occasionally change to the default pack, But hands down Lucid pack is the best.
I just use one where every block is a solid colour (apart from ores and sutff like chests and benches and stuff which get 2 colours), and I really like it
I've been working on my own pack, a pokemon pack.
For those who wanted it-- http://dl.dropbox.com/u/13400729/SWEETPACK1t.zip it's a piece of shit and not even completed, but I don't know if I really want to work on it any more right now
I love you.
I was using GeruDoku because it had a Super Nintendo feel to me. I am using Jolicraft because it reminds me of Yoshi's Island. Though if I find another pack I fancy more I'll switch.
Lucid with some Painterly mobs and Quandary items. And some random UI shit I think. Fuckin' hipster right here got ALL that popular shit.
I never saw the appeal of those flat-style packs. Pretty much just solid colour everywhere, looks really ugly IMO
when it's simple it doesn't look too great up cloose, however it looks pretty good on a distance. Simple = way less noise.
Fair point, but I've never really noticed any bad noise on a distance using 16x16 packs.
I'm using JoliCraft, I all of it :h:
I want more stripy packs, which are 256x256 so the lines are super-smooth
Painterly is too dark, I can't see as much as with default or a brighter pack, especially in caves or at night.

I'm making three packs at the moment, but I'm pretty fond of Eld's and Painterly.
I switch between Vanilla and some random texture pack I don't even know the name of every now and then.
Never found one I liked. I like a few textures of the original pack, and the changes I've found collide with them.
I really don't see the appeal of 'simple' packs, why? What's the point of removing all detail? Anyway, I use gerudoku right now, best pack.
Made my own packs, Currently I'm using a cell shading-like cartoon-ey style pack.
I'm using custom Painterly, and I'm preferring it over Default just now. May switch back though.
