February 20th Playstation Conference - Games

To be fair. PS4 will beat Xbox whateverthehell it's called now. But that isn't exactly hard to do as Xbox 360 was quite horrible compared to the PS3, as I learnt the hard way after buying both consoles. Still be interesting to see the specifics of it.

Nearly everybody were convinced that the 360 was the superior product.

I refused to take any side to the whole which is better argument, until I owned both consoles and had used them a lot. Then form my opinion. And I felt the PS3 was superior in pretty much every single way in a practical sense.

In reality it is more powerful than the Xbox, but only when the game is made specifically for the processor. Cross platform games tended to perform much worse in the ps3 because of it. One good example is Red Dead Redemption. On ps3 it doesn't even play at 720p, they had to lower it to sun hd. I hope that the ps4 uses more standard architecture because I am thinking about getting one of the new consoles, but I don't like the route Microsoft is taking with the whole "entertainment console" shit.

Only problem I found with PS3, was some slight stutter in games at times, and a bit lower quality as you mentioned here and there. But in comparison to the 360. It is no contest. Still. I guess each to their own. I'm a PC Gamer mainly. I only bought the PS3 and Xbox to play certain games that are not on the PC.

Most games don't run at 720p on either device, so the RDR case is hardly unique.

Looks like i'm staying up tonight. In a sense, i'm looking forward to it, but at the same time. I'm dreading it. It's going to be a interesting year for consoles, thats for sure. Going to need some Irn Bru to get me through this.

Why stay up? There's still quite some time until it happens.

Xbox won last gen because it released nearly a year before the PS3 did, let's hope Playstation gets the upper hand, I don't like paying for my internet service

You know. 13 years after release.

Meh, BF4 died to me after fucking premium, DICE/EA can go and fuck themselves for all I care until they release Mirrors Edge 2. Watch Dogs is where my money is pointing at.

As always everything sony offered so far with the PS3 I am happy with it.
