Given Microsoft's relationship with Intel through the Surface tablet, I'd be inclined to speculate that the new Xbox will use a low power 4/8-core Ivy Bridge CPU/GPU or just the CPU with a mobile NVIDIA GPU.

AMD's always been in the pockets of console makers

Simply put, their processors for what they do are cheaper per core.

Sure intel is better (at the moment) for PC's, but they also tend to not be as cheap. Not only that consoles tend to do the whole "multicore" thing much better than Windows does, especailly since the PS3 literally relies on multiple cores to do anything.

Seeing as we've not seen a new console for over 7 years, and that the PS3 was running cell, its no doubt that AMD has be suffering especially since their focus on multiple cores and more budget pricing has put them in a bad spot compaired to intel who has actually focused on what runs best for the money for most users/gamers on PC.

I'm not really impressed at all... It's just a beefier console with a couple of handy community features. None if it really makes me want to get the PS4 instead of continuing to upgrade my PC.

I guess it all depends on the price though, if it's way over the 300€ mark (which it probably will be), I'm not interested.

Overall PS4 is looking pretty good, The new Killzone game looks amazing, The fact that sucker punch was there blew my mind let alone announce a brand new Infamous game. I am now looking forward to both Nintendo and Sony's E3.
