Pro-Life tobacco company executive.
i was just wondering how things could get much better from the previous generation of consoles and then bam cinema quality cgi
I must say, the way those plates of armour shift individually tickles me in ways I would want to talk about
Did we ever figure out what the Bohemia Interactive title for PS4 was? Day Z? Carrier Command? [editline]21st February 2013[/editline]
New watch dogs footage unnnnghhhh yeah stop a criminal after hacking someone's bank account and stealing all their money because they're pro-life :v:
I wanted him to give all the money to the veteran guy and walk off. Then stealth kill the other guy for good measure.

And DayZ was actually seen in a screen, so maybe it IS dayz?
The dragon game looked kinda interesting, too bad it was a cut scene. They keep boasting about never seen before graphics capabilities, yet this kind of hardware has been around for years. So their pretty renders, while cool, doesn't really mean shit. While it is good that sony and microsoft don't shit out consoles like apple shits out ipads... Its just a shame that we are just now seeing this kind of technology run on consoles. As far as games are concerned: The new killlzone looks liked call of duty. the new braid game looks really fun, like a stylized freeroaming myst or something. the capcom game with the dragon looked fun. I have a feeling its going to go down the darksouls path of "2hard4u". driveclub looks nice, but the way they market it make it seem shitty. Too much focus on "play with ur goddamn friends, play with your club, play with ur facbeook friends". Watch dogs looks like its going to be pretty fun to mess around with. Looking for some actual organic gameplay. No, I don't believe you that "It is 100% gameplay! No scripts involved!". The infamous spokesperson needs a tinfoil hat.

I honestly don't see the next xbox doing well unless they pull out something amazing from their anus. Most people I know got an xbox for halo... Now that halo (destiny) is all platforms, about the only other exclusive they have is gears... which isn't nearly as popular.

In these demo kind of things they always use mockups or made up information.
No, I don't believe you that "It is 100% gameplay! When she calls 911 she doesn't say "oh, my ex-husband tried to rob me!!" she says "There's a guy with a gun shooting, come quick!" When he pulls the knife and threatens her, he doesn't explicitly mention anything about his kids or whatever, just generic "I'm tired of your shit" lines. It could be a generic event with a small backstory that you learn through the tracker pulled from a list, and it could only occur in certain areas with special pathing measures for the AI when he tries to escape.

Ubisoft has put Watch Dogs(PS4) for sale on Amazon, let's see how much it costs- http://www.amazon.com/Watch-Dogs-PlayStation-4/dp/B00BI83EVU/ref=sr_tr_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1361430721&sr=8-1&keywords=watch+dogs Really? $99?
It's a place holder.
Wow, that sculpting and animation demo thing with the move looked super interesting, the way they did that puppeteering was really cool.
Anyone has a link to the whole thing? Could only watch half an hour of it yesterday. Nevermind seems GT has one.
Man, Microsoft have a lot to make up to now, especially how they've been talking about making the xbox a "entertainment" platform and the PS4 is just all about games.

The only two I really cared about were Halo and...Viva Piñata, I suppose.
So was that the most boring console announcement ever or was it just me? For exclusives you got Killzone 4 (looks like your standard shooter really, good graphics but remember the 600 trillion polygon GT5 at the PS3 announcement? Yeah), Infamous (no gameplay), Driveclub ("modelled every single fiber" uh huh), the sculpting thing I guess? And finally Knack which looks average. WatchDogs looked great, but that is multiplat. Deep Down's in-engine demo was, well a in-engine demo (no Capcom it won't look like that in-game, we've had that promise a few thousand times now). Might turn out to be Dragon's Dogma? They said new IP but why the hell make another game in that setting when you already got one? There was no mention of exclusivity (at least not that I remember) so it's a multiplat. All in all the stuff that got me excited was the multiplat stuff, so good conference for me, but not so much for Sony.

Everything else was an added bonus. The console has some pretty impressive specs, finally PC gamers can't complain about consoles holding PC gaming back. Wait for E3. Main Processor Single-chip custom processor CPU : x86-64 AMD “Jaguar”, 8 cores GPU : 1.84 TFLOPS, AMD next-generation Radeon based graphics engine Memory GDDR5 8GB
i actually agree with this
Or maybe there still isn't a good PS2/PS3 emulator, and I want to play the brilliant games that are exclusive to PS3?
For a console reveal - that was great I'd say. Specs were shown, some ideas of what game devs will be able to do were shown as well, some exclusives announced, great. That's all it should be. Now we wait for E3 and get to the actual games, not tech demos! :v:
I'm not really impressed at all... It's just a beefier console with a couple of handy community features. None if it really makes me want to get the PS4 instead of continuing to upgrade my PC. I guess it all depends on the price though, if it's way over the 300€ mark (which it probably will be), I'm not interested.
If I were to upgrade my PC now, even if I just wanted to get a new CPU, I'd have to replace the motherboard and the RAM as well. I'd probably have to replace my GPU too as it'd become a bottleneck. That would also mean getting at least a 670 to consider it an upgrade. It would cost me £602 to upgrade, excluding tax and shipping. If the PS3 is cheaper than that, why wouldn't I get it over a new PC?
i actually agree with this
>buy a console for $500, any game in it's entire lifetime can run on it, no upgrade required >exclusives >playing online with friends who own the same console, or couch splitscreen >playing on your couch rather than on a computer desk There's no reason for people who like computers and handle themselves around them well, and have friends to play PC with to buy a console besides exclusives.
Not sure if it has been mentioned, but Sony has confirmed the PS4 is not an 'always-on' device.
A share button, really ?
A share button, really ?
Yeah? It's a pretty damn cool feature.
Yeah? It's a pretty damn cool feature.
Sounds a bit unnecessary to put on a controller. I do like the looks of the rest of the controller though.
I doubt it will hinder the entire PlayStation 4 experience. Just don't touch it :v:
I hope the new controller feels closer to the chunky 360 controller cause that was by far the more comfortable to hold.
