make a little holiday shack in a forest and create a little lake and fish in the day and night, and look around at dawn and dusk for wulf

I was looking for wolves, then realized that I had a texture pack, so I couldn't see any if they were there.
While my main server is down, I put on a temp Vanilla Beta 1.4 Server:

Only if it was somehow cool, instead of just being a gray reskin of leather armor.
Apparently whoever made wolves doesn't have a dog. If they did, Wolves would go after any dropped food on the floor, instead of waiting for you to pick it up.
