Yeah it seems it's broken.
So the only note worthy things in the update were cookies and wolfs.

No, i found wolves on my main world i've had for awhile now.
I think i found them quicker because i live in a snow biome and apparently they spawn in there often.

If it's a bed predating the update you might want to replace it. Otherwise I have no idea.

The bed has to stay where it is after you sleep in it. I haven't died yet though, so I don't know if even that works right now. But that's how it's supposed to work. It will default if you break it.

The bed was already placed when I updated and it hasn't been destroyed.
According to the Wiki it's a bug that some people are experiencing.

Yes, wolves do spawn in SMP. They count as animals in the spawn console. My first one, Sodom, took a whopping 8 bones to tame. My second, Gomorrah, took only 2 bones. Then I had a blackout and the world corrupted. You will never be forgotten, my two dear wolves.
Was playing around and found a wolf about 30 seconds in in SSP. He died pretty quickly though.
