is it possible to see your xp and how much you need left to level up anywhere?
is it possible to see your xp and how much you need left to level up anywhere?
Above your mana bar it shows it. It's really small though.

Bar right above your mana.
Beaten by seconds, but yeah, I had trouble finding it at first.
OP really should post Totalbiscuit's WTF video of this game on the main page.
I do belive the op is MIA.
God damn it, why do I never get the fedora, I keep getting the astrology cap, also can anyone make a video/picture on how to use the item to exp thing?
I found the best weapon in the game. I think.

I saw uh, Sword of Possibility or something which looked a bit like a lightsaber connected to a battery pack. The description was something akin to "This sword attacks in every possible way you can imagine." 30 slashing damage, full stars and cost ~50000 zorkmids
[editline]16th July 2011[/editline]
and that was merely on the 4th level.

Do not take astrology, get archeology. Bam, a fedora.

I found 2 Bolts of Mass Destruction, but I don't use crossbows, so I sold them.
6020 zorkmids.

But the shield thing is so awesome D:
Crashed in the middle of a few hours long session without saving. Damn. Guess I'd better go sleep then.
Never played a roguelike. This piques my interest though. It looks like it has some awesome loot and the dungeons are procedural. Is this worth the money?

Yes.
Yes.
Alright. Considering it looks 2D I can probably run this on my laptop too? It's pretty modern.
I found 2 Bolts of Mass Destruction, but I don't use crossbows, so I sold them.
6020 zorkmids.
I don't normally use them either, but I keep one equipped and some squidbolts or something in case I get a monster zoo.

Yeah, I have a shitty notebook and it runs it fine, might have to take smooth scaling off though.
haven't tried crossbows/thrown yet, what do you gain to offset that you're shooting money?

Mmkay. I'd love to buy the game and see the minreqs myself but steam is shitting out Error 503 Service Unavailable
Try and get it off the website instead.

NO STEAM IS BETTER I ONLY GET GAMES OFF OF STEAM FUCK YOU
Actually that seems a lot better since then I don't have to worry about steam. And when my power inevitably goes out (my block is the only one that seems to have intermittent power issues) I won't have to deal with my laptop's Steam bitching :v:
Ah, it just redirects to Steam. And Steam won't load the goddamn webpage. Fucking A.
haven't tried crossbows/thrown yet, what do you gain to offset that you're shooting money?
I don't think there's a single enemy with a ranged attack, so you can't be hit.
Heh, just found a Maple Shield. There's a lot of Canada references in this game too...
I don't think there's a single enemy with a ranged attack, so you can't be hit.
Yeah, but if there's more than one mob they'll get into melee sooner or later, and there's the problem of surprise mobs on the other side of a door.
New blog post for you. Not much about the game this time, but it gives you a nice insight into some of the people behind it.
[release]Meet the Team
It looks like much of the crashing is quashed (and that’s all up to Nicholas’ code-magic anyway) so I figured I’d waste time drawing a silly picture of a bunch of the folk who made Dungeons of Dredmor possible.

From left to right:
•Nicholas: he is the master of code and creator of the original Dredmor project back in, what, 2005? He can be awfully English at times.
•David: (that’s me!), art, content, and other silly stuff.
•Daniel: handled much of the earlier gameplay code then became a rocket scientist or something and is doing a lot of the internal business operations and PR. The lutefisk thing is probably his fault.
•Derek: Server-keeper, web guy; We panic and leave him voicemail when our servers crash and burn.
•Chris: A driving force of Business Acumen, he gets the deals done.
•Matthew: Sound and music guy. Maestro? Does that work? And did I mention you can listen to and/or buy the Dredmor soundtrack from him?
Oh, and because I neglected to include him in the picture, here’s a Dredmorified version of that punk “executive producer” Ben who filled the Steam scoreboard the day before the game came out to give all you new players a challenge to beat

Now you know who to blame.
We’ll get back to our scheduled Dredmor Bloggageddon featuring Actual Content Of Substance And Import once the release-week madness calms down a bit. Hope you’re all having fun! If you’re not, please fill our contact email inbox with the reasons why plus crash .dmp files and broken savegames.
Yeah, but if there's more than one mob they'll get into melee sooner or later, and there's the problem of surprise mobs on the other side of a door.
Not if you stand somewhere where they can't hit you or it'll take them a while to get to you.
Buying soundtrack.
Would you recommend this game? It looks pretty fun.
Anyone wanna help me with my Steam issue? I keep getting Error 503 Service Unavailable but only in steam, the webpage loads fine in Chrome. I'll see if the issue persists on my laptop.
