how many times it is possible to stack the krong enchanchements on a weapon? is it possible to do it forever with the archeologist skill and get a godlike weapon?
As many anvils as you can find to do it with, and yes.
I was able to buff the archaeologists hat a few times before I ran out of anvils, but looking around at the games files there's a chance that the Anvil of Krong will do something negative. I'm not sure if it wipes the item or destroys it or adds negative effects, but there's a screen for the anvils that says "He is displeased by you".

This is what my fedora was like by then end of my non-permadeath run.

Also, if I make up a weapon in the itemDB.XML and just chuck it in there with the rest of them, do you guys know if the game will spawn it or if I need to edit something else to tell it to?

Try asking on the Gaslamp Games forums. Or, if you have an account, Something Awful. People on SA have already started modding their own items into the game.
Just bought this game, hella fun.
Died on the first floor due to exploring every last inch of it (and shooting Bark with the best bolt in the game on accident, thus causing him to destroy me :v:)

You open a door, and it turns out to be a monster zoo. You are on permadeath. What do you do?
does this game actually end or do the floors go into infinity
does this game actually end or do the floors go into infinity
It ends on like the 10th floor.
But on the notes for monsters, it lists that they go down to the 20th floor, so...
You open a door, and it turns out to be a monster zoo. You are on permadeath. What do you do?
Close the door then get cornered by batys and die.
[editline]s[/editline]
That is what happened to me atleast.
You open a door, and it turns out to be a monster zoo. You are on permadeath. What do you do?
What difficulty is it on and what skills do I have?
From my experiences so far dual wielding is the best way to get shit done.

Choke-point and potions.
When this happens to me, I personally scramble to find a door, and close it to contain the monsters. Then, I just frantically search for the stairs to the next floor down. Hopefully I don't lock myself in a dead end.
Block the door with walls and spam aoe magics.
By the way what does the eyeball shrine do?
Has anyone found a way to make Vampirism worth it? I can't.

Used for a sidequest I think.

Oh lawdy, I found me a good skill setup for an assassin/mage type character.
Swords- Because it's the closest thing to daggers.
Artful Dodging- Because fuck getting hit.
Psionics- For the healing, sleep, and pyrokinesis. Nerve Staple is pretty good too.
Ley Lines- For Mana.
Burglurary- Because I like never running out of picks, and I like swiping stuff from the shop.
Assassination- Because fuck hitting something more than once. Blackjack is useful too.
Wand Lore- There are some pretty cool wands, so I like to keep them.
So you either creep up on mobs and crit them into oblivion, or if they see you, you can sleep them and proceed to kill them. You don't need ranged weapons because you have pyrokinesis and Nerve Staple. Ley Lines is to provide the mana needed for the spells.

I would switch Wand Lore with that Pyrotechnics skill. Dragon's Breath is a great starting AoE spell, and the other skills progressing are great too.
Yeah, only reason I put wand lore in there is because I couldn't think of anything else. Also, is there any way to split stacks of items? I want to split all my lutefisk up into singles.
Edit: Pfffhahaha, I just picked up a Lutefisk Cube, with my lucky pick skill, I have infinite lutefisk. Lutefisk companies will go bankrupt!
First room on the second level, monster zoo
great.

Kill a few, run for stairs. Wait a bit, go back down. Rinse, repeat.
Ugh I was doing so well and was finally getting the hang of smithing and made some sweet gear and then the fucking game just closed out.

This is why I play with permadeath off until the crashes are fixed.

Yeah, but even then I hadn't saved.
I save all the time in games, probably more than I should. Sometimes I save multiple times just to make sure.

I would if it didn't involve going to the title every time.
I have a question. What can I use the "It belongs in a museum" skill on? I have tried it on everything in my way and I can seem to find something the game would clasify as a artifact...

You can tell if something is an artifact if it has a different name and bonuses from the item that has the same sprite. Their names usually have commas in them.
Something like "Grizwald, Conquerer of Black Potatoes" would be an artifact.
I think it's always X, the X of X.
hoorah, somebody just gifted me this game in exchange for 2 hats and 6 crates in TF2
