You can tell if something is an artifact if it has a different name and bonuses from the item that has the same sprite. Their names usually have commas in them.
Thanks!
aw yeah just bought this piece of shit* lets get ready to die
*game isn't shitty
Got it.
Frame timings are the same as in-game, got them from one of the devs.
I so want this. Spent all my money during the sale though, on packs. Feeling :saddowns:y after forgetting to save for this.
I realized the left hand gets smaller on my avatar, it's bugging me so much but I can't seem to fix it.
Lovin that new avatar
If anyone is good at editing/making .gifs, send me a PM. I need to fix his hand.
[release]EXALTATIONS UNTO KRONG! While he cannot disclose any sales numbers, he is exceedingly pleased by sales of Dungeons of Dredmor, bringing Krong in all his glory to the masses (and also that slimy, good-for-nothing Lutefisk God.) Long has his anvil-shaped heart awaited this moment, and he thanks his chosen Mightily.
Nonetheless, he hears the people crying. “Krong,” they say, “why hast thou forsaken us? Our game, it crashes. Our game, it has small icons. Our game, it lacks keyboard binding interfaces, yea, and other certain necessities.” And Krong didst look upon his people, in their despair… and wept.
And lo, so it came to pass that Krong didst re-chain Gaslamp Games to their anvils, and Gaslamp Games has come forth in order to help the people. And lo, a great Patch came to pass upon the land, to be released Early Next Week.
What is in said patch? Krong is so very, very glad you asked. The following bugs have been fixed:
- Fixed: Anvils of Krong spawning in hallways for no good reason
- Fixed: crash that occurred when moving up stairs or down stairs, randomly
- Fixed: Knightly Leap now covers the full span of Knight Movements.
- Fixed: shopkeepers doing odd things when picking up and dropping items after load/save
- Fixed: crash when using invalid missile sprites
- Fixed: merchandise not cleared when you go downstairs
- Fixed: backwards conditional logic on ranged monster attacks means that monsters were not consistently casting spells; fixing this makes the Dungeon 95.2% nastier.
- Fixed: Current Active Skill crossing over between new games
- Fixed: the bug with save games overwriting themselves if you have two characters with kind of the same name.
And the following new things shalt be added:
- Key binding interface.
- Automatic Saves in the Case of Crashes.
- Changes to how Permadeath works. We’ll now delete the file when you actually die.
- Auto-loot toggle.
- SHIFT-Click and Click Reversal Button. (Makes SHIFT-Click work like CLICK! Makes CLICK work like SHIFT-Click!)
- Rapid selling of items in the store, yea, by holding the SHIFT-Click button and smacking the inventory while standing in a shop.
- Fifty New Achievements
- Steam Overlay Support, yea, though it is Experimental and Requires your Graphics Card To Support OpenGL
- In-game Leaderboards, Yea, For Messing With Your Friends
- Steak Grilling
- Magnification of UI elements to TWICE their Size (Yea, Though We Know Not How Far We Can Get With This In The Allotted Time, Though We Are Working On It)
All Glory Unto Krong![/release]
new blogpost
It weirds me out to be playing a roguelike with no diagonal movement. Just when I'd gotten used to using the numpad for movement in IVAN.
I've been playing exclusively on Going Rogue in Permadeath mode. I think now it's just a matter of me figuring out the best skill combinations to survive.

I'm really liking what's to come. I'm also really liking the commitment from the developers out of the gate.
Automatic saves would have been so handy with what happened to me earlier... Haha. Can't wait.
Let's see,
Roguelike, Check.
Steam, Check.
Developers that care about making their player base happy, Check.
This is pretty good.
I already know not to put a fish cube into another cube but DON'T EVEN PUT IT INTO ITSELF!
Learned this the hard way

If these people carry on like this I'm gunna be one very happy bunny.
I made an unarmed specialist. Then I put on two shields. I became invincible.
Damn you Cronk, I thought you were great when you gave me an axe that set everything in the room on fire after 2 hits, but now you keep giving me useless things like the "Harbinger of Canadians"
CROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNKKKKKKKK
EDIT: There will be future patches. We’re not dealing with content and gameplay balancing yet because we want to get this stuff fixed. Likewise, we’re not turning on the Mod Support yet because we want to get the core gameplay fixed. Et cetera, et cetera.
I like these guys
What do I do with gems?
I have smithing and alchemy.

its not that genius, what else are you going to use an an unarmed person
I'm liking this vampirism trait. It's really difficult at first, not being able to eat, but once you get the corpse-eating skill at level 2, it's extremely difficult to die.
And the last skill is pretty sweet :v:
Played it for a bit at a friend's, couldn't get past the first floor. Just bought it :v:

Your feet and fists? :v:
Your feet and fists? :v:
You only use your feet and they're not weapons that can be equipped :downs:
Is there any use for electrum in smithing? because i have a few bars sitting around and i'm not sure what to do with them.

I saw an amazing shield called the Black Hole, or something. It was essentially just a black circle (cheap artwork, lol), but the stats were amazing for a caster. Mana increased by 30, magic power increased by 10 and +2 to mana regeneration.
Imagine equipping two of those on a wizard type character. You'd be a fucking demigod.
So I'm having a hard time deciding which weapon to use. I've completed Level 4 of the dungeon except for a monster zoo and I need to clear that and head to level 5. I can either stick with my current weapon, switch to a weapon I've found, or purchase a weapon from the shop, but in doing so I'll be practically out of cash.
These are the three weapons I've found;

Also here are my current stats without any weapons equipped and my selected skills for the character;

Oh I also still have an anvil available to use, so whichever I choose will be upgraded with said anvil.
I want to sell my collected items, I have found a shitload of them but I don't want to simply drop them.
We need some kind of npc which buys all the crap out of you for a small price, or else it would be overpowered. You could simply sell anything for a high price and hoard a shitload of money.

You can drop items on to Brax to sell them.
