Okay. I am on Level 3 now, but my foot must hurt like hell after kicking every single monster in that zoo to death.
Growing mushrooms is actually a very profitable skill. Some of the mushrooms sell for almost 100 golds a pop. My new character is a vampire. Can't eat or regenerate health, but you heal whenever you attack something. You can also eat corpses. Very good for warrior type characters, but the life stealy bit is based on your magic power, so you end up going a bit hybrid, rogueish. It's awesome and extremely durable. When you're fighting, it's basically like you have constant life regen on you. The only thing that can threathen you is getting surrounded. Otherwise you can basically outheal any damage just by attacking. Also: Fuck the Fedora. This thing turned me into a tank. 8 Block and 8 Armor absorb is awesome.
I'm thinking about going mage/rouge on my next character and taking both blood mage and vamp.
I kept dying on medium so I switched to easy, but easy is a little too easy. I can take out everything with two fireballs and I have a ton of mana that regenerates fast as hell because I did the ley lines thing and magic training. Because I also did tinkering, traps are no threat to me either. If I could have gotten those skills in medium I would probably have done quite well.
I kept dying
That`s part of the game and any other rogulike.
That`s part of the game and any other rogulike.
I never got through the second level on medium. And I tried about a dozen times.
Don't worry, you're supposed to die, in fact, if you actually finish the game you don't get a score at all.
I'm thinking about going mage/rouge on my next character and taking both blood mage and vamp.
Sounds like a good idea. Those skills should work well together. Maybe add in fleshsmithing as well, for the heal.
Dungeon level 10, killed Dredmor, game instanly crashes, I go back, save file is gone. I GUESS I WON :v:. Also since my save is gone, I found this awesome item, something along the lines of: ----- Wizard's Sleeve This artifact is imbued with so much power oh man you could kill so many things with it. Too bad you don't have a sleeve slot on your character page. ---- Something along those lines. That and I found an early lutefisk box, so I spent about 10 minutes using lucky pick and all that, to gain a bunch of lutefisk and tithe it all. Edit: Also, the sleeve didn't have any stats, 10stars, and when I right-clicked on it in my inventory, it disappeared.
Am thinking of rolling a pure crafter with only the minimum fighting skills. I wonder what he will do down there. (probably get swallowd by the first zoo)
I found a hat called Vampire Hunter's Hat, which is basically a Hellsing reference. Fuck can't take pictures.....goddamn it. Oh I'm late? oh well...
Any one else notice the Quake rune gates? I saw one but died before I could check the thing out, can you walk through them?
Any one else notice the Quake rune gates? I saw one but died before I could check the thing out, can you walk through them?
Aye, they're basically 2-way teleporters. Also Root of T'Char holy f-

I'm either really damn unlucky or the game is coded like this, whenever i choose a class that has one weapon type all the weapons i seem to find in uberchests etc are of the other weapon types :v

[editline]17th July 2011[/editline] It's a complete bastard when you take dual wielding and only one weapon type, but three skills just on weapons is a bit too much unless you're going for maximum damage.
I like how one of the level tile sets is obviously based on Doom.
Huh, turns out you can put bolts on Anvils, I now have 10 Mass Destruction bolts that give me 1 trap affinity. Edit: Now they do 2 cold damage.
Stacked items must all get separate enchantments, combine that with the weapon stacking glitch and anyone dual wielding two of the same weapon just jizzed in their armour.
No no, I enchanted them again, they give the affinity, but now they deal 2 cold damage. But do tell me of the weapon stacking glitch :v:
Damn this game hates me. A blobbly killed me because it dodged 3 of my attacks in a row. I should've escaped instead of relying on luck.
Is there a "Wait until I'm fully healed" button, like in Dungeon Crawl? If not the devs should add one.
Imo vampirism is an essential skill.

I have now faced a Monster Zoo on the 2nd and 4th floor without losing any major health. I go up to the 3rd to try and find a shop, and end up encountering another monster zoo. This is going to be fun.
videosnip this music this music is so good
Most of the music reminds me of disgaea for some odd reason.
