I've been playing this. It's actually quite enjoyable, it's similar to IVAN.
New update out, fixed a bunch of bugs.
Bought the game about an hour ago. Great game and the humor just makes the game even better.
Really hard game though but playing with perma death is the only way I will play.
Managed to survive a monster zoo. Jolly good fun. :v:

Holy crap! Just found something amazing in Dungeons of Dredmor. If you call your character 'The Doctor' you receive a tweed jacket and bow tie as your starting gear! That is awesome.

Fuck I just played this for an hour then it crashed, lost all my progress. What an uninviting start to the game

New high score is 10000 and something. Did a bit better this time, but in the end I was cornered in a hallway by a Zomby and a Deth. I then used a Bolt of Squid, which may have killed me. :v:
On the bright side, I was using a large rock as a weapon. I hit a ghost [i]so hard[/i] with the rock, that it went flying through a wall and into the next room. I'm beginning to love this game.
Only lingering complaints is that I still find crafting far too involved for far too little reward. My inventory keeps getting cluttered with crafting ingredients that I can't even use.

Drop an item on a shopkeeper, and he'll offer to buy it.
It also randomly crashed for me, wondering if it has something to do with the update. I was fine but I was only on the first level so didn't get too mad.

Also, I just realized there were at least two or three ways I could have gotten out of that situation I just died in. It makes me both frustrated and very, very happy... that's always a sign of a good roguelike.
