Is it possible to have a decent rogue/thief class. I tried it but my sneaking was bad and I fucked up on every enemy and I didn't stand a chance at the end.
I think with 1 tinkering you can create 9 arrows from one ore.

Can't really sneak but I have been most successful with a vampire rogue/assassin.

Which weapons do you guys find the strongest - swords, axes or maces?
Oh god I love what happens when you get too many different types of damage

Extra menu space taped on :v:
Also I am having an extraordinarily lucky first floor so far. I took my mace of lobster to an anvil and it received like +1 nimbleness, +1 trap affinity, and I forget what else, 1 other stat. Then I just found that bone mace, which is 3 crushing damage, 2 aethereal, and 1 necromantic. Plus, both of my rings add different types of damage. I'm pretty much 1-shotting everything on level 1
I'm running quite a weird starting strategy at the moment. Start with Maces, Axes and Swords, Dual-weilding, Assassination and Berserker. Before you do anything else, you smith the axe and the sword you get together, to make a macahuitl, and dual weild that with the mace you have left overm upgrading your weapons as you go. It's pretty good to start with, not sure about later on though.

No shit. Your guy is level 5.

I've read some of the wiki and some threads about which skill is better.
-Swords are pretty good for defensive players, but in general they're a nice pick.
-Axes are assumed to be the weakest, the skills are no that great and the weapons that you get don't do much damage compared to the other weapons skills.
-Maces are perfect for offensive players and pretty powerful, this is probably your best pick because the offensive bonus and critical hit chance is a lot higher.
-Staves are not that great, maybe as a wizard. They give you some boosts and passive abilites, but not really for killing loads of enemies.
Staves boost your magik, which is nice.
There quite many staves with +magic power buffs. And the staves skills add to your maagic power and mana.
So yeah, staves aint really for hittign monster,s more to boost your magix.

I agree, once I played as a warrior using spears and staves, it was pure shit. A dual wield of swords and maces are godlike. Although that already takes 3 skills away.
Bought some 10 star super armor from a shop, then accidentally sold it again. Went "fuck it" and ragequit the character. Shame too, he had some pretty nice gear.
Encountered my first monster zoo today(have had the game since it came out). I survived it quite easily using exploding runes. But I guess one of the monsters must've wandered off and never encountered me again because I didn't get the achievement for killing an entire monster zoo.
Well, you can get a lot of money pretty fast by selling all the stuff. Honestly, it's even to easy to just hoard money. They should reduce the value of sold items or increase the price of the items. Once I cleared out the first and some of the second floor, I have enough money to buy anything.
I have love/hate relationship with my thaumite swarms. The spell is fairly cheap on mana, kills everything with just one application and I can kite other enemies to the leftover swarm. On the other hand, I managed to kill myself with it after accidentally stepping on it.

I am not sure about swords but 25 base damage on an axe can't be called bad. With a little less luck you find one that does i think something like 18.

I've noticed that if you leave the floor and come back, or quit the game and come back, you won't get an achievement for killing the monster zoo. You have to kill them all as soon as you open the door.
I'm guessing there are other glitches preventing the achievement too, since I encountered two different ones on the two zoos I've cleared.
By the way, I think I found the best track: http://zath.bandcamp.com/track/burly-brawl
So, uh... Are diggles supposed to have this much health?

All hail the god diggle!
Just bought the game, I can't fucking wait :v:
All hail the god diggle!
Avatar fits.
Also crashed when I clicked the Save and Quit button, wasn't able to get it to do it again though. I was worried that the game had created an even harder game mode. :v:
Someone buy me a copy please. :(
/shameless begging.
Anyway, so far, this year's indie titles were quite good.
AI War, Terraria, Dungeons of Dredmor,... I like where the industry is going. :D
Did the patch break saves? I can't play my game I started yesterday and I got some strange achievement "suddenly the dungeon collapses"

It did, I believe.
God damn it, when I try and load my best character, it crashes.
