That makes sense, I guess. I should have chosen smithing instead of perception. Anyway, I think there should be a seperate "normal" inventory and one for crafting, seeing as there's like 20 different types of random crafting ingredients that are useless otherwise. Metals, ores, gems, etc. should all just go into a seperate backpack.
Yeah, but space management is a kind of feature in RPGs, here you can store things in the crafting devices and when the next patch is out, every ingot press=4 items inside.
I somehow managed to summon two mustaches at once!

I AM THE MUSTACHE KING.
Is Ley Walker a worthwhile skill?
It is a must for mage charecters.
I generally hear more of blood magic being amazing.
Is it viable to make a magic only character? No melee skills at all i mean

Yup. Just stay away from combat and dual-wield Orbs. The summons you get from Fungal Arts/Promethian magic come in handy here.
I'm playing rogue who doesn't know how to use anything but a crossbow. And I'm doing kinda good (level 7, perma, dwarvish moderation), cause I can always use the most powerful weapon. :v:

I mean, you can wield crossbows whether you have the skill or not, as opposed to swords, axes, etc.
Ah I see the levels are themed on games. Level 1: Nothing? Level 2: Diablo. Level 3: Doom.
How far does it go?
Can't put my finger on Level 4. Ultima 7 or something?

The bonuses for crit chance and enemy dodge reduction also apply to your melee.
Also Bolts are pretty much a form of mana less magic (bolt of squid, anyone?)
I like the apparent high level of Dwarf Fortress references:

Yes I'm aware I'm probably late in both this and even mentioning it but I've been away since an hour after this was released.
I take it there's a ton of references to all kinds of Roguelikes but I haven't played a whole lot of them extensively.
There's also sewer brew (a drink you can buy in DF) and a helmet called the Plump Helmet, "losing is fun" on the difficulty screen... The game's full of DF references
Yeah, but unlike magic, bolts run out.
But unlike magic, Bolts don't need leveling up to use. A Bolt of mass destruction found on level 1 is usuable. Also with tinkering you can amass cruely barbed bolts which do loads of damage (relatively).

My dragon just duplicated itself somehow. I was just wandering the rooms and another one popped up.

oh you :v:
Oh and I hate when those things get stuck on corners, it gets annoying real quick.
My gravestone reminds me of my mistakes every single time I look at it. My best run, and it says "Killed by Brax".

Yeah, pet AI is pretty shitty. Even worse than enemy AI. Half the time, my pets will be getting wailed on by an enemy or two, and not even fight back.
I fucking saved and quit when I opened a monster zoo. As of my count, I've died about 9 times already. The farthest I got was about 70 left. I should never have went into level 2 unprepared. :(
I usually get to just close the door again when I run into a monster zoo. I've come across about 3 or 4 total, and I've been successful every time. I've also found ways around them afterwords by means of another far away entrance on the above level.

Stupid me always opens the door from the middle so I don't have a turn to close it in time.

Stupid me always kicks the door down so there's nothing to close.

Me stupid me no know door how open.

Run away to one of those pentagram portal thingies.
Works for me.

And then it teleports you to the other side of the room.
I've had two pentagram teleporters right next to each other 3 spaces away, I kept running in a straight line forever because I'm retarded and it amused me. Reminded me of TF2.
What I am currently doing to avoid monster zoos is using move in mysterious ways (from the burglary tree).
Pretty much I teleport inside of the door allowing me to see what is inside.
Already avoided 2 monster zoos with this technique.
Pretty much try the burglary skill tree its amazing.
