I've noticed something interesting about arrow traps (robo bolt triggers too, pretty much anything that fires a projectile from the wall). This is probably a glitch, but it looks like sometimes if you stand to the left of the trap behind a wall, and try to disarm it, the arrow will hit the wall. But if you stand to the right of the trap with an identical setup, it sorta flies through the wall and hits you anyway.
It's like this:

Weird thing about seeing in this.
#A#
#_#
B_B
If you're at A, you can see what's at either B, but if you're at a B, you can't see what's at A. This is kind of annoying when you're using the knightly leap skill, because you can't jump somewhere you can't see, and I frequently see areas where there's a trap at one of the underscores.
Pretty much all 'classes' work fine until 7th floor. But after that, the flaws will just burst out of nowhere and you'll most likely slaughter yourself.
Jeah, level 7 is the bane of my existence. If you don't have a bag full of escape tricks, prepare to stumble about blind while getting raped up the butt by those big blue dudes.
7th has the squids, yes? If you took perception you're fine against those guys.

The effect stacks, and they apply the debuff every other attack or so, so no matter how much sight radius you have, you'll be blinded completely eventually.
On top of that, it also has the Tiki guys that cast the darkness spell on you from range, and which resurrect dead monsters.
It's almost like running into a brick wall. Level 6, no real problem. Level 7, BAM, nightmare zone.

I'm loving this game but what the hell is with that! Haven't attacked them yet, I turned invisible closed the door and walked away. I'll tackle them sometime tonight me thinks!
EDIT: Done, long battle but managed to funnel many of the 100 through a corridor, used traps and Bruce Wayne's unarmed combat skills to take them all down in the end. Run out of traps and throwing weapons now though.

So that's an eely outside of water
I've only seen one of those in the water, the rest have been in monster zoos.

It was sad and pathetic and I slayed it easily with a kick in the arse!
Fiddling around with XML files and I made my own custom shop.

Next up, suicide diggles.

That works too...I guess.

I'd love to know how you did it.
Protip: When you start running into kleptoblobbies, fill your hotbar with items you don't want.
I'd love to know how you did it.
I made new entries in XML, mainly I just copied and pasted and changed some stats. The suicide diggle is copy of the sickly diggle, but always has a chance of a spell effect, and that spell effect is obvious fireball.

I'm itching to make a "Even More Diggles" mod. It probably wouldn't be hard to recolor sprites too.

Well this is what the monster entries look like.
<monster displayName="Enraged Diggle" level="1">
<palette tint="-40"/>
<damage slashing="3" piercing="2" />
<stats numFig="6" xpValue="16"/>
<secondarybuff id="10" amount="1"/> <!-- armour -->
<secondarybuff id="0" amount="3"/> <!-- hp -->
<info latin="(Poingus Poingus)" text="A strange little bird-thing that tunnels through walls with its odd, rubbery nasal appliance. This one looks really mad."/>
<!-- <ai aggressiveness="5" span="24" spellPercentage="5"/> -->
<!-- <spell name="Monstrous Rage"/> -->
</monster>
So it shouldn't be too hard to just add a new entry under "Diggles" and make the changes you want. Although I haven't done much modding, so I'm not sure if they'll just start showing up in-game or if you have to start a new game or what.

Ha, that Latin entry. I don't think that shows up in the game...
DoD uses an .spr format for its sprites, so I need to find a program that can edit them before I start madding new monsters. I emailed Gaslamp Games to ask them what they use since I couldn't find a working .spr editor anywhere.

Wait a minute...that entry--Palette Tint! I can recolor new monsters without having to make a new sprite! Great!

Sweet thanks, I'll have to dig into it when i have a spare mo.
Adding items or monsters will break all your saves, by the way, editing existing ones wont though.
Not a problem, my current save is experimenting with Necronomiconomics, but it's proving to be fairly unrewarding.

Make a black one that steals stuff, like kleptoblobbies, and call it a...
Uh...
You figure it out.
Tarblobby.
Is there something in particular that makes Krong angry at you? He's cursed one of my axes like 8 times. And is there any way to get him to like me again?

Your existance angers Krong.
He also has set aside some especially simmering rage especially for archeologists.

Deep inside "The Awkward Crack" is a shop carrying an amulet designed to warn the planet of impending doom.
