What a shitty skill tree
1. Shit harvesting
You literally beat the shit out of things. Killed enemies sometimes drop shit.
2. Throw shit at it
You were a howler monkey in your past life, unlocking your ability to throw shit at enemies, dealing poison damage.
3. What is this shit
Convert an item to shit.
4. Shit golem
When life gives you shit, make shit golems.
Im making a mod, and I need help with the "drawing".
It adds a zombie class to the game, and adds a new set of armor to the game. And weapons

I can do the art, if you'd like. Pm me what needs done and I'll do it when I get off of work.
Does anyone have a good rogue build?

PM'ed

Assassination, weapon of choice, artful dodger, perception, burglary. Last two are your choice.
I love the descriptions of the Vegan skill tree. Just hilarious :v:
I might get into the whole modding business if it's easy enough to learn.
My usual is Smithing for all the incredibly high level items early on, Swords, Dual Wielding, Master of Arms, Piracy, Assassination, and Beserker.

Oh you Dungeons of Dredmor

My best run was pretty much this though I did replace dual wielding with shields and assassination with fire magic to help with the huge monster rooms. (Fire runes everywhere)
I have a small question: Does upgrading an artefact through crafting mess up any special properties it has?
I have a small question: Does upgrading an artefact through crafting mess up any special properties it has?
It doesn't mess up it's special properties, it removes them. At least as far as I know.
That's why it is a bad idea to enchant weapons at Krong anvils that you can still upgrade. Then again, upgrading it should remove any bad properties it gets, as well
I love you dwarven express post.
How do you increase your skill level at crafting? Does it require you to have picked that crafting skill as a perk?
How do you increase your skill level at crafting? Does it require you to have picked that crafting skill as a perk?
Pretty sure.
How do I wish for stuff? There's always a tome that says "Make a wish and pull the lever" but I just pull the lever and see blue droplets everywhere.

the blue droplets restore your life, i think.
How do you increase your skill level at crafting? Does it require you to have picked that crafting skill as a perk?
Either that or find an item that gives you a point in that perk.
Only ways I'm afraid, which is why I always recommend people take at least one crafting skill.

The blue crystals are the same crystals spawned by the new psionic skill. (Crystal healing or something)
They do indeed heal you.
(You can't actually make wishes like in most roguelikes unfortunately)

Another idea for a mod right here. Maybe make it work like the anvils in that it can backfire on you.

I don't really know how that could be coded though. I mean there's no text input interface in the raw game.
Another good mod idea would be a slot machine. Insert Zorkmids and get a random item, artifact, enemy or nothing. For the sake of balance the price would have to be carefully set though. Maybe you could do it sorta like how gambling works in Diablo instead? (A vendor with items with various prices that you can only identify after you've purchased them)
Oh man I hated that, I'd spend thousands for some shit item.
It was funny. :v:
Maybe they can have generic wishes, like:
I wish for the riches of kings!
I wish for the artifacts of gods!
I wish for the eggs of celebrity chefs!
Is it actually possible to kill Brax and the Brass Collectors?
After playing NetHack for so long I just can't resist, I WANT to kill him
I imagine it is, I never tried.
It's possble, but the Dread Collectors NEVER. STOP. SPAWNING.
Any tips for a new player? I played other rougelikes, but are there any specifics to this game?

If you choose the vampire skill tree ALWAYS choose Drinker of the Dead as your first skill.
That's all I got.

Oh yea and prepare to die if you choose a bad skill tree selection.

Get a crafting skill. From my experience, being able to craft your own weapons and armor helps a lot. I've only made it to level seven of the dungeon, though, so I can't really say how useful crafting would be at later levels.
