I saw tons of gameplay since it came out, and I finally bought it. Anything I should know about besides lutefisk?
When a Muscle Diggle hits you, it actually heals you.
Anyone got a vampirism build?
I saw tons of gameplay since it came out, and I finally bought it. Anything I should know about besides lutefisk?
Use your brains. It will keep you safe. For a moment. [editline]1st January 2012[/editline] Like don't 'hey, this fountain looks cool, I'll have a drin..OH GOD ACID'.
Before I knew what the fuck lutefisk was, I discarded my lutefisk cube and ate all my lutefisk.
So what's the relationship between Lutefisk and the cube? Personally I was just giving it to the lutefisk god most of the time. Also, bought the game this night, already clocked up 5 hours on it. Keeping Permadeath on with the Dwarvern Moderation difficulty, build is a sharp-eyed crossbow-wielding Norse alchemist smithy who also uses wands and kung fu. Been exploring every part of each floor extensively to find ALL the things, currently descended to the 3rd level where there are genies. I am finding the devices most useful and hilarious; in what other game can an ore grinder also act as a meat grinder and cheese grater, or a toasted sandwich maker be able to smelt ore? I'm loving it, I really am. I also massacred my first monster zoo. Feels good, diggles.

[editline]2nd January 2012[/editline] There's also an achievement related to the cube but I'm not gonna say what it is.

Thus, you can kick ass.
Just killed Lord Dredmor. On going rogue. With permadeath. Like a total badass. Gotta play without Promethean Magic next time. It makes everything too easy.

Not sure what direction I'd head with that one. Maybe mostly buffs/debuffs with things like dolphin diving, leetspeek (which could deal existential damage) flaming for fire damage and so on?
Swords, Axes, Dual Wielding, Astrology, Promethean Magic, Ley Walker and Assassination. Strategy: "Rune of Exploding will kill everything so choose whatever skills you haven't tried before."
Is anybody having trouble starting up their copies of Dredmor, or is it just me?
I don't really understand the vegan skill tree. Can someone explain it to me? And can someone explain to me why you would want to use it?

So what, can people make their own classes in this game? I assume there's some sort of modding tools available, either that or it's easy to mod. Speaking of which apparently the graphic for the Copper Ring has apparently become unable to load, and I think that might be one of the reasons why my game keeps crashing.
"Good luck, I'm behind seven proxies", bonus to dodge and block for seven turns.
That'd be more suitable for a hacker class. What I have right now is: Professional Gamer (the class): +1 block, dodge, counter and critical. "After honing your skills during much of your early years, you feel like you really do know Mortal Kombat." Flaming: gives the Flaming spell, which you cast upon an enemy and makes him implode for 8 points of conflagatory damage. It's underpowered right now, I'd like to give it some area of effect around the enemy to make it crowd control and set them on fire but I'm not quite sure how. Additionally, it might need to scale better with levels. "Good sportsmanship never actually helped anybody win." Dolphin Diving: gives the dolphin diving spell, which gives you +20 dodge but -20 EDR (enemy dodge reduction) for 3 turns and has a cooldown of 60 turns. Mostly useful to dodge arrows or spells while closing the distance between you and the enemy, or for quick getaways. "Erratic movement and occasional faceplants throw off the enemy aim. As well as yours." I'm planning on giving another passive buff to the list and maybe two new spells or so.

You might want to add some to the flaming and dolphin diving ones.
Usually in skill trees the active skills also give a one time stat boost. You might want to add some to the flaming and dolphin diving ones.
Good point. Flaming might add some strength or melee damage or something, and Dolphin Diving also a general chance to dodge?
I had this game for a while but never touched it until now. Holy shit its fun. Farthest ive gotten is floor 6. This game was the only thing not making me throw myuself over the railing in my terrible family cruise.

Okay, are these new skillsets part of the Diggle Gods DLC or something? I haven't played since I purchased it, so I'd like to know what I bought...
You know how some mega threads showcase and make fun of bad mods? Yea...
Does it allow you to brutally murder ponies?
Probably not.

Maybe something like junk food addict? Foods like pastries etc. give added bonuses or more healing, but you can't eat healthy things like apples. Dunno if there's enough unhealthy food though.
Well, my long-unawaited mod is finally ready for its first release! It's probably full of balance issues, so let me know if there's any problems. Class: Atheist Monk High on the eastern mountains you spent years honing your disbelief. Now, in your darkest hour you can put it all to good use.

Skill one: Nonbeliever Righteous, Aetherial, Existential and Necronomical damages have nothing on you, because as far as you're concerned there's no such thing. (+3 Righteous, +3 Aethereal, +3 Existential and +3 Necronomical resistance) Skill two: His Noodly Appendages Ironically pray to FSM to heal your wounds. He does it anyway because he gets the joke. (Gives you access to a healing spell) Skill three: Disprove Existence Show the target creature that simple logic dictates that they don't exist. (Does 20 existential damage to the target creature) Skill four: Sagan Power Harness the power of the Sagan to bake an apple pie from scratch. (Creates a universe-shaped mine that, when triggered, drops an apple pie.) Skill five: The Athe-est You don't believe in anything. Not even yourself. (Gives you +10 more Righteous, Aethereal, Existential and Necronomical resistances) Download it now, why not
This plus necronomiconomics sounds broken.
Make sure that it adds -500 to all godly power things.
Make sure that it adds -500 to all godly power things.
If only it was possible. I'd make it so Krong curses you more often and such, but the modding tools are a bit limited.
Couldn't that Sagan power be abused by always spamming mines and walking over them? It'd essentially be a limitless supply of healing items.
