Anyone looking for an excuse to try out fleshsmithing: Miasmatic Putrefaction (the last spell in the tree) absolutely decimates monster zoos. I get my zombies to hold back the horde for 3-4 turns, during which time I just toss that spell into various regions of the zoo, and as I walk away, the number of monsters will drop by 30-40. Also, is horse armor a new item? :v: [editline]11th June 2012[/editline] Oh, and check this out: I just found two shops right next to each other.
I love the references in this game. Horse armour for those who can throw their money into Oblivion.
What skill tree would be best for mana regen when minions steal most of your kills?
Ley Lines is entirely devoted to mana regen, it works well with the warlock skills.
Some of them are a bit obvious and you kinda expect them :V Pretty cool nonetheless.
I really fucking hate after i just beat like 100 monsters in a zoo by getting into a choke point, so only one could attack at any time, i walked into the main room, and like 20 ranged wrath things shoot at me, instantly killing me.
I was doing amazing, but then I opened a chest of evil which contained a mushroom. The mushroom did 40 damage.
If you were doing amazing, you shouldn't die from 40 damage...I usaully have about 50 health at Level 3.
I dunno, I'm at floor 7, and as a mage I only have like 50-60 health. 70-something if I'm using my meatshield spell (which I always am)
The last patch really got people into the game, seeing how many things are 'discovered' despite being there since the previous patch. It still seems that some achievements are bugged, like Double Rainbow or Water Drinking Advisory, I can't get them.
Hnnnnnngh I love workshop support. 10/10 would update again.
If you were doing amazing, you shouldn't die from 40 damage...I usaully have about 50 health at Level 3.
40 damage in one hit.
ooohhh, that sucks :(

I've finally reached floor 8 for the first time ever. What's more amazing is that I'm on hard mode + permadeath.
So I just got the game. Played for a bit, and after a few deaths, managed to get far further than I had before (Level 4, floor 2). Then I encountered a monster zoo. I was actually doing quite well until a big metal dude came after me. In the process of killing him, I managed to drain all my life using death hex :(
I've been playing this game a lot more the past few days and I just love it now! It's amazing how exciting it gets from what I thought was a boring game. I ran into a monster zoo on the third floor down and I was handling it pretty well attacking and teleporting away, back again. Then suddenly I'm hit with some sort of blink-teleport-huge-explosion attack and very very weak and blocked from the teleport by enemies. Unsure what to do I drank a couple of potions that I wasn't sure done myself and they end up healing and buffing me enough I'm able to fight back over to the teleporter. I did end up beating he monster zoo after that. So yeah very good game. I expect to play it much more often. I'm on the forth floor at the moment, I hope I can get a lot further! One question I want to ask is, is it possible to ever be strong enough to kill brax the shop keep? Does his health and strength get higher each floor? It sounds cool being able to go back to floor one, kill the shop keep then go to floor two and sell all the gear you stole :v:
Brax isn't hard to kill, its the dread collectors
Floor 9, prepare your anus
Attacking Brax makes Dread Collectors spawn and they never stop. So usually you would have to kill Brax, fight off Collectors, take things, fight Collectors, go to the exit, fight Collectors and finally descend.
Stealing by teleporting away also makes Brax summon the collectors. How do people steal currently?
You need to move Brax without hurting him, place the item(s) on the shop zone border, exit the shop and pick up the stuff from the 'outside'. Sometimes you can teleport yourself onto Brax and place your item(s) behind him. Emomancy first spell works wonders here.
I emptied a monster zoo on level 11 and what do i get? Mittens.
So I found this recipe and thought "It'd be pretty cool to dualwield those!" I got my tinkering to 7 (and smithing to 4 so I could get some fine steel axes for the chainaxes) and crafted them. (It doesn't set your enemies on fire. Krong lied.) All that effort for 30 slashing damage and some other random stats. Oh and a chance to hit multiple times in one turn. Quite a big chance. My record so far is seven hits in a row. And that was before I got the Clockwork Knight skill that does the same thing. I also crafted this. The chance to knockback is pretty low, but the bolts leave some kind of trail of smoke behind so the enemies sometimes get confused and stop chasing you. It's pretty cool.
I would've called it a gaussbow just for the pun.
My sides: I raped the entire fucking zoo in a very unpleasant way (at least the remaining 26 poor monsters).
Goddamn I'm awful at trying to steal from Brax, when I manage it, I go to another store in the same level, drop my stolen stuff, go to the shop to check out stuff, leave, I'VE STOLEN SHIT, PREPARE MY ANUS. I had visited the shop where I had stolen before twice after stealing and nothing like that happened after dropping the stolen stuff on the ground in front of the entrance. [editline]12th June 2012[/editline] On a sidenote, Archeology + Burglary + Big Game Hunter is amazing for earning loads of experience.
How do you deal with your crafting reagents? I usually end up getting swamped with just too much stuff and can barely carry anything else.
A solution I found in my current run is to make a stash one floor above wherever I am. I just find one convenient spot to drop every single useful ingredient I find, and retreat one floor when I need to do crafting. When it's time for me to advance to the next floor, I have to transport my entire stash one floor down. Sometimes it takes 2-3 trips.
The pickpocketing skill set is nice. I stole the most expensive bolts from a bolt vending machine and bought a crapload of good equipment.
How do you deal with your crafting reagents? I usually end up getting swamped with just too much stuff and can barely carry anything else.
I just haul around all my ingots. I usually only have 2 and a half rows free to carry stuff. :v:
