Is it just me, or is donating lutefisk almost never worth the effort? Every time I donate I get something useless that's just donated to the museum or sold, and it gives minimal XP at that, even with tithing 500 lutefisk (the max amount that actually does something) Anyone ever received something from the lutefisk god and went "Gee whiz, that's a fantastic thingamajiger there!" Quest rewards seem to usually give much better stuff. For example, I just got some nice boots that were studded with Sparkling Jimmies.
Anybody tried Demonologist while dual wielding shields? Celestial circle looks amazing.

Usually I tithe like 150 lutefisk and get awesome items. It's pure luck and randomness, so it might happen.
Also, if you choose to go for Crossbows, the Bolt Eruptor is another nice choice. It basically turns every bolt you fire into a huge area of fire. I've killed 10+ monsters with one bolt with it before.

New Expansion Pack announced! http://www.gaslampgames.com/2012/06/19/dungeons-of-dredmor-conquest-of-the-wizardlands/
New Expansion Pack announced! http://www.gaslampgames.com/2012/06/19/dungeons-of-dredmor-conquest-of-the-wizardlands/
"Harness the expanded storage space of your very own Pocket Dimension where interdimensional gnomes probably won’t steal all your crafting-junk. A whole WHACK of new Skills: Daggers, Polearms, Bankster, Communist, Paranormal Investigator, Magical Law, and more! A small, pleasant handful of usability fixes! (Which everyone with the core game will get for free, naturally.) Enhanced sneakiness, monster sight cones, and alertness levels for more roguish gameplay! The only thing missing is a box you can carry around to hide in — unless you count an extra-dimensional box (see the first item in this list). Diggle Hell. It’s a real place." Holy shit already?!
Holy shit that sounds awesome.
Fuck yeah, pocket dimensions. I've never even made it to level 12.

I was hoping to be able to transform into one of those with the last level of the Werediggle skill
What's the point of third sight? Is there actually loot you can only see with it?
What's the point of third sight? Is there actually loot you can only see with it?
It ups Lucky Find percentage as well as super-boosts your vision.
This expansion looks awesome. Also do the polearms have extra reach?

Just grind up excess meats and cheeses, which gives more than 1 per item, and put them in the cube along with any other junk that isn't worth carrying back to Brax. At the very least its worth more than the junk I used to get it. It hardly takes any effort, just a couple inventory spaces.
So, game, what are you trying to tell me?
Muscle diggles look ridiculous.
Oh god, I am looking forward to this expansion
I fucking love these guys. Can't wait to see what they've come up with. Pocket dimensions also promise bigger inventory and it is good, considering how many items were added. I wish they stated a detailed release date instead of 'soon'. I wonder what their next game will be like, probably insta-buy for me.
MAybe i finally can make a character with crafting skills, as when i previously have done that, it just filled my inventory to the brim, making me unable to pick up anything anymore, and i can't drop it, because i have "It-might-be-useful-later" syndrome
The difficulty doesn't seem to go up after floor 7. Hell, I'm on floor 13 and it's easier than it was on 7.
Dread Collectors spawn rate must have been reduced. You used to see 5-6 of them all at once, now you just run into one every few minutes. Also I found a trap named "Dragonbreath Caltrops".

Damnit. I got all the way to Dredmor and then died to him. Score of 3,081,572. Ranked #186 on the leaderboards. :v:
I'm glad you can flee the floor to get away from an angry Brax. First time I accidentally hit him (damn passive astrological magic) I started having flashbacks to Spelunky, and the dozens of bloodthirsty shotgun-wielding shopkeepers.
I'm not sure what the exact mechanics for the Dread Collectors are. In my current run, on the fourth floor, I killed all 3 Brax's to steal some nice loot, and went through tons upon tons of collectors to transport my stash to the floor below. They didn't seem to stop spawning, even though I killed all of the Brax's. But hey, maybe if I go up there again they'll be gone.
I've always wanted to make one of these videos...
Should have used BMD on him. Back on Dread Collectors - they never stop spawning after attacking Brax, although I'm confused about their spawn rate. Up till the newest version there used to be tons of them, but when I killed him yesterday, I ran only into two collectors and I wasn't running to the nearest exit.
They only spawn when Brax is alive IIRC
