Well, the fire resistances on deeper levels are quite high and Imminent Death pretty much means the creature will die. Thing is, one is AoE weapon and the second one is made to kill single targets. IMO if you have enough AoE damage go for Imminent Death, otherwise Bolt Eruptor (these things spawn like crazy later, it's easier to find one rather than food).
I just finished up my first Dredmor mod last night. It deals with thaumites and thaumite-themed abilities. I had a lot of fun making this.

Oh god, I'm still on the run I started yesterday, now on the Hell floor... And I Kronged my weapon, it now sets my enemies on fire, and I crafted myself a Clockwork Thunderclap too. So now, I hit an enemy in melee, it might catch fire, there might be fireballs fired, and there might be thunderclaps. Or very occaisonally, all at once.
Had a really good armour monger playthrough going on, game crashed when I sped it up while killing a monster zoo :v:
Had a really good armour monger playthrough going on, game crashed when I sped it up while killing a monster zoo :v:
How do you speed it up? Because once I get a floor cleared and am doing a second pass for any loot or rooms I might have missed, it takes forever.
How do you speed it up? why is this game so hard. I'm new to this genre
why is this game so hard. I'm new to this genre
The biggest thing about this genre is that it is hard as balls, and even this game is easier than most
So I'm going through my screenshots and I found this. I have no idea how this happened. [img_thumb]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/595817638497596247/8F6FA45227D512FFFEBA185A735CB3DE3D980482/[/img_thumb]

I was screwing around with mods and accidentally duplicated the base ones and tried that. If you get a skill in one tree then you get the skill in all duplicate trees too. (I tried it with the dodge tree.)
why is this game so hard. I'm new to this genre
Hard? This is the easiest roguelike I've played according to my memory. I only tend to die on Floor 2.
Accidentally hit Brax with an AoE, and now the entire 6th floor is infested with Dread Collectors. Any way I can deal with them, or will I have to skip it?
If you kill all the braxes on the floor they'll stop spawning so you can clean them out then.
[t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/dfd3.png[/t] the ai needs to be better with their spells :v: (all those are from the other megadeaths in the monster zoo)
I think the bigger zoo I found was one with 5, YES, FIVE MONSTERS, dear god, that was a total massacre. But seriously, so far the bigger zoo I found was one with more of 250 monsters.
I am a door In other news my mod just pushed out the pony mod as most popular of the week on the workshop
I found a monster zoo with 2 monsters in floor 1 also I found a monster zoo that was cut in two by a few rooms (around 60 in one room, than it had a few normal rooms dividing it, than another portion with 60 monsters
I found this absolutely incredible hat in one of those mysterious portals. It added +6 or more to at least 6 different stats, and with no stat reductions. It was beautiful. Then I died. [editline]26th June 2012[/editline] And how come some items require level 7 smithing/tinkering ability when those skills can only level up to 6? How do you get that 7th point?
Items
is there some mod for anvils that never do bad enchants on your items? I want to see how powerful items can get.
is there some mod for anvils that never do bad enchants on your items? I want to see how powerful items can get.
Save before using the anvil. If fails, alt+F4 then load. Well that works to me.
Got the Bolt Eruptor on the 2nd floor OP as fuck
And how come some items require level 7 smithing/tinkering ability when those skills can only level up to 6? How do you get that 7th point?
There are some items which increase those stats, such as Tinkerers Goggles, but there's also the Clockwork Knights skilltree, which has an extra point in each levelled up.
Save before using the anvil. If fails, alt+F4 then load. Well that works to me.
Isn't your save deleted when you load it?
I am a door In other news my mod just pushed out the pony mod as most popular of the week on the workshop
God damn it, I teleported into a table earlier, should have taken a picture so I could say that I was the table :v:
Isn't your save deleted when you load it?
So far it's working for me but maybe it's a bug, because when I press alt+f4 in another part of the dungeon it autosave the game.
