I just found the "Overpowered Mace of Imbalance." It deals 50 crushing damage and gives me 10 melee power. I'm on the third floor. I don't even have the Mace skill tree selected and I'm using this thing. It's instakilling things that took my best ax 2 or 3 hits to kill. I keep getting one hit kills and suddenly this pops up. New blogpost, one of the new classes described in detail: http://www.gaslampgames.com/2012/06/27/conquest-of-the-wizardlands-pocket-dimensions-banksters/
Wish me luck, gents. [img_thumb]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/29626006/Screenshots/ohgodthisisgoingtoendintears.png[/img_thumb] [editline] [/editline] Bugger, he got me.
I thought you were supposed to get penalties when you used weapons that you didn't have the skill tree for? Because I specialized in axes and didn't select the shield skill tree, and yet I can use a mace and shield with no issues. The only penalty I get is when I try to dual wield weapons.

You used to get a debuff, but it was changed after RotDG I think.
I attacked Brax on the second floor and am currently camping out by the stairs mining the collectors for experience. Not a bad gig.

Since I got so far on my smithing build, I'm trying out really different builds now, such as ones purely focused on having allies instead...Don't know why I don't just pick my smithing one again and go for the win.
I'm such a cheater. I save in front of bookshelves and Alt+F4 back to the main menu if I get a recipe I don't want/can't make/don't find anything until I find something I do want. I'm on a library floor right now, so it looks like I might be here a while.
snip, forgot they updated the craft system
you can just use the dredmorpedia, since you can craft items without needing the recipe in-game if you know what materials to use (unless it shares those materials with another item, like iron equipment, for example, than you need the recipe)
What the hell, this system is long gone, you can't put your materials into the tools.
Stepped into a mysterious portal, came out like that. I'm fucked, aren't I?
What the hell, this system is long gone, you can't put your materials into the tools.
oh Im dumb

The walls are probably destroyable, try using anything that explodes/does AoE damage, sometimes even special attacks work.

If so, what mods are you using?
How do you name the expansion pack? [editline]29th June 2012[/editline] Oh, that's how.
I'm quite sure judging from that previous picture you posted that you are using mods. [editline]29th June 2012[/editline]
Depends. The walls are probably destroyable, try using anything that explodes/does AoE damage, sometimes even special attacks work.
I had no explosives, or anything to make explosives with. I tried a few AoE throwing weapons, but it just didn't do anything. Eventually had to kill myself.
Is your gear really buffed? That stuff looks like the things I find on the first few floors.
It was buffed up the arse, but I opened a door on low health to run away from some stuff, and he was right behind it.
I'm quite sure judging from that previous picture you posted that you are using mods. If so, what mods are you using?
Okay, mods I'm using at the moment are: •Vaults of Maslech - a room mod focusing on traps and the like, not on steam workshop as of yet. •Interior Dredmorating - Another room mod •More Dred - Item mod, mostly lategame equipment •Meltdown - Crafting mod, lets you break equipment down into ingots, like Iron Swords into an Iron Ingot, for example •Jay's Mega Phoneme Mod - More stuff for the Random Name Generator •A Debacle of Diggles - More Diggle Variety •Roguish Renevation - Room mod, with 2 skill trees aswell, and a few items •FaxPax - Mod with pretty much a bit of everything, monsters, items, rooms. •Death by a thousand taunts - More Monster Taunts •Extra Potions - More potions, enhanced versions of original potions and everything. •Studded Leather Coat and Sabatons Recipes - There's some more crafting later on which needs them, and it aggravates me not being able to get them •Leather - More leather crafting, helps a lot with belts and stuff. •Eggles - Aggressive eggs that hatch into diggles if given enough time. •Horrid Thing - Skillset based on The Thing. •Thaumite Mary - Mmmm, Thaumites. •Compleat Essential Skills - I have no idea why the name is spelt different, but the skills are pretty neat.

Entire playthrough, all 15 levels, like 20 hours, never found the recipe for clockwork power limb or clockwork ravager.
Does this game have a level (as in skill, not floor) limit? What is the max level you can get?
Does this game have a level (as in skill, not floor) limit? What is the max level you can get?
When you max all your skills, you don't gain more stats. You keep leveling up, but it doesn't change anything.
Well, that's a new one for me.
So, I died, the game crashed and now it doesn't see any of my savegames. I'm fucked. Back when I was playing I got randomly teleported to one of these small islands with random weak artifact, but had no way to get out, so I modded my Brie to have random teleport effect, saved my char and then changed it back.
I keep randomly crashing when I'm walking. There's nothing going on, no monsters on screen or anything, but it crashes to desktop with no notifications or anything. I do have the speed jacked up by 1 = push but that's it. It's not even going fast, and lowering it back 1 notch is slow as fuck and feels unplayable now that I got used to the speed increase. Are there any fixes to the crashes or what?

Cheese gives you nightmares... [editline]1st July 2012[/editline] One of the effects could be spawning a monster... A zombrie.
Let's totally do it.
