Had more ideas.
I seen the Chevre Log Cheese, and for some reason immediately thought of "The Hunchback of Chevre Edam"
Cheese Monk class?
How the hell does steam workshop work? I subscribed to a mod, which I suppose is how you download it. Then, I went ingame and nothing changed.

When you launch the game, on the launcher go to mods and click the checkbox for the mod.

This is most certainly my best playthrough. My pants, rings, gloves and sword are all enchanted. The sword also makes enemies drop gold when I hit them. Just entered dungeon level 6 by the way. I think I had some buffs like "It only makes you stronger" on when I took this screenie.
Level 6 and below tend to be ok, but Level 7 begins to get stupid with hyperborean dmg.
Just get the woolly kanada hat, nulifies almost all of the hyperborean damage.
Also, how does the charge of the light brigade work on dredmor? In thinking of this to take him down.
Rocket punch, then eye lasers, then charge into him, stomp around a bit using the metaton stomp and rocket jump. Then if all else fails, hit him with my axe a bit.
Because I am not losing to him again dammit!

Level 7 is the second hardest level. 8 to 14 aren't bad, once you get to 15 it gets hard again.
the only time I died on one of my super tank characters was on level 15
Anyone know a good build for powering through this shit? Highest I've gotten was level 6, and then my save mysteriously dissapeared. I'll be playing on Dwarven Moderation with permadeath on.
I really hope that the minibosses, and subsequently, dredmor, get a similar treatment to monster zoos.
You know, you open the room and there's a big announcement and such.
Preferably with the change of music too, I for one hope they use this track, edited to be more fitting, obviously: http://zath.bandcamp.com/track/belligerent-boss-bonus-track
Has anyone come up with a necronomiconeconomics build that doesn't suck? The skill doesn't seem to have much of a use when I can pick some other magic tree that doesn't cripple me every time I cast a spell.
Just get like 6 necro resistance, unless they changed it in patches- that usually nullified all the penalties.
Also star lawyer is probably my favorite mod so far, I have it, clockwerk knight, and warlock and I just throw enemies all over the room and none ever get close enough to hit me from all the stuns and tosses + silences.
I was in floor 12 until a mod update made my save crash, I wish the updates of the mods were optional until you finish your game or decide to start again.
I know I'm not supposed to make "Jack of all Trades" builds because items for one type of build cancel out bonuses for others, but I still manage to make a nice going of it. Being able to craft/tinker whatever the hell I need does help too, though.
I usually end up getting high ranking items for 2 builds with high bonuses and low penalties, which then cancel each other out but still give me what I need.
Here's my current build.
(admittedly that last skill, Wind Magic, is wholly useless and I could have easily chosen something better, but this was the first build I was experimenting with since I haven't played in a while and I decided to stick with it. I also like the Fleshsmithing mostly for it's Knit Tissue, which is nice for a quick heal.)

Pair Necronomiconomics with Astrology, which gives you necro resistance with the first spell. That takes care of the early game.
Later on, just having a lot of points into Necronomiconomics gives you built-in necro resistance, and you can just turn on the Mark of Cthon if you need more.
Late-game is much easier with some way of curing debuffs, which veganism provides with the last level, but this is really only necessary if you spam the spells that give debuffs.
One very powerful build is melee necronomiconomist, since the Pact of Fleeting life is one of the most powerful melee buffs in the game. It gives you a bunch of added necro damage per hit, and you also steal that much life.
One build that I've had some success with is Necronomiconomics, Dual wield, Blood Magic, Archaeology (a must-have for any build), Astrology, Warlockery, and Mathemagic. Can handle himself in melee, and tenebrous rift tears monster zoos apart. If you're in trouble, teleport away, and if you're low on mana, smack bitches until you have more.
This is just getting annoying now. I keep crashing when there is absolutely nothing going on. It can't be because I sped the game up, because I was playing on the slowest speed. I assume it's my mods, and I'd be willing to remove a few, but I can't because that would fuck my save.
Is there any way to remove mods without screwing over a save? If not are there any cheating programs or something I can use to give myself all the same equipment and skills, but on a new save?

ive been wondering this as well.
Finally killed Dredmor. Threw some holy hand grenades, shot a few bolts of mass destruction and made him walk over a shitload of traps.
Was playing without no time to grind with maces, dual wielding, viking wizardry, archaeology, clockwork knight, berserk and warlockery, it made fighting through it all quite a breeze.
It's funny that I'm a melee character but I never fought with him in melee. :v:
You shouldn't anyway. Every time he hits you he'll corrupt one of your artifacts.

Well fuck. I'm kind of an all melee character.
So was I when I fought him. By level 15 you should have some kind of good crossbow, collect BMDs and holy hand grenades. Clockwork sawblades are good too.

I'll have to craft a few sawblades then. I'm already all clockworked out.

I get the feeling this is not as intended, especially that toggling it off and on again just resets my mana to merely 0.
I just finished level 14. now the game crashes every time I try to go to level 15.
What, no-one posted about this yet?

There was a forum post on this, the creator said it was indeed intended.
Are there any mods that remove that... I don't know how to describe it. Chorus... holy-sounding... OHH noise, that happens whenever you attack with a Righteous damage type?
Because my melee weapon is enchanted with 2 Righteous damage. And I just meleed my way through a monster zoo.
It got just a little on my nerves.

Replace dmg_righteous.wav located in Steam\steamapps\common\dungeons of dredmor\sfx\ with a null sound. That should work.
