I always die in level 1. :(
Sad thing is I've made it farther in NetHack. :v:

Only if you get blessed in both anvils.
Only if you get blessed in both anvils.
I did. On my Green Armour, and my Iron Shield.
Ok, now say you have to back track through the dungeon for about a hundred steps (not that far) for an altar or something.
Unless you're sharing a screen I don't see the problem.
Thanks for the info.
Wonder if it's a good idea to try to kill the shop owner :v:
Oh god I found a weapon that can wreck the shop keep.
Then tons of demons come out of no where to wreck my shit oh boy.
There goes the idea of stealing stuff :v:
Yeah, those demons spawn until you kill every single shop owner on the level, meaning that unless you can tank long enough to kill the usually very spread out shopkeepers, you should just get the hell off of that level.
On a side note, until they patch it, you can totally steal whatever you want from shops with no repercussions if after grabbing something you teleport to the wizardlands. When you teleport to the wizardlands, take a step, and then the game will show you the message that you have stolen from brax, but nothing will happen.
Then teleport back. Brax will be blocking the entrance, but if you just pick something up and put it back, he will let you go. In fact, the item you stole? You can now sell it back to brax. So yes, you can theoretically grind infinite money until this glitch is patched.

Well I'd better get stealing before they patch that.

Also Just found Gaga's Glaze for pants.

Wait, does this include the Pocket Dimension?

He won't move from the doorway after I sell it back to him, now i am trapped

Nah, just pick up a shop item and place it back where it was. He'll move.
Also, egyptian magic is stupid powerful right now. I can understand why they're going to nerf it. It's a bit of a mana sink, but if you can manage to get a character with ley lines + blood magic with egyptian magic going, you can have every single glyph constantly activated, and with sandstorm, you can clear an entire monster zoo in a few turns. Basically, with every glyph activated, every single monster is debuffed, poisoned, mummified (putrefying + necromantic damage), and exploded. It's glorious.
Here's a few codes with decent loot -
Level 3 - Pnuseengkolpot - It has a coat of denim with rhinestones, rubber pants, and a mossy shield.
Level 4 - Puizfurkiizar - Shield of Agnosticism
Level 3? - Chrelchtwemagzar - Belt of Iron Plates
Level 1 - Twyjafkullgorfur, Lkzankullgormag - One of these has a good randart ring, forgot which one though.
Been stealing everything but the cheapest item in the shops with that pocket dimension exploit. The most expensive few things (6000 or more) I keep to enchant later so I can send them to the museum and get loads of XP for 0 effort.
Stupid tempting exploits.
I found the Gaga's Glaze Encrust for Helmet Pants and Boots(Or was it gloves I can't remember) so far. All I need to do now is get tons of steak. I got about 50 hp on my pants currently but its unstable. Damn tentacles everywhere damaging the enemies and me.
Damnit, I just died on floor 9 with my Going Rogue Permadeath character. I had an ultra defensive build with unarmed, vampiric and double shields. I was almost invincible so I got overconfident, ran into a monsterzoo, got stuck between monsters and died to those poison clouds they spammed on me.

Whats the full build were you using? I might try it out.
Defensive build works wonders on Going Rogue. I killed Dredmor with Axes (for AoE), Shield Bearer, Master of Arms, Berserker Rage, Clockwork Knight (for jumping straight into rooms full of monsters), Tinkering (for equipment) and Bankster (to try it out, wrong choice, should have taken Smithing for equipment again). Last two skills are up to you, main power is in the first five skills, now when bonuses stack it's piss easy to get like +20 Melee Power with Berserker and same amounts of defense from Shields and Armours.
Whats the full build were you using? I might try it out.
Unarmed
Shield Bearer
Master of arms
Vampirism
Beserker Rage
Smithing
Something else of choice.
That's what I used. First skillpoint goes into Vampirism so you can heal from dead bodies. Max your unarmed next, and fully focus on defence after that. You'll get over 100% block fast, try to get lots of resistances and armour absorption next. Monsters can barely hurt you with 100% block and lots of absorption, and vampirism will heal you back to full after every hit.

Thanks
You didn't mention why you have Assassination though.
I assume smithing is just for armor.
Also on a Dagger run I was doing I found a KrongHammer. Made me wish I was doing a Mace run.
Dagger
Dual Wield
Artful Dodging
Perception
Burglary
Assassination
Big Game Hunter
That's the move set I used
Using Battle Geology and Unarmed can get you 11 points of damage at the start of the game. You can even kill level 2 monsters right off the bat. Going to make a proper build from this soon.

Really? I only see it start with 9. What else are you using with them?
It being 4 without Plutonic Fist on.
Might be 10 or require some other skill I took, I need to have a little investigate.
I enjoy full wizard builds a lot too, but it's pretty hard on Going Rogue. Managed to get my fire wizard to floor 3 but accidentally ran too fast, hit a double trap and died. Didn't have much luck on the itemdrops anyway, time for a retry.
There's an ominous countdown on http://www.gaslampgames.com/ , I wonder what it's for.
There's an ominous countdown on http://www.gaslampgames.com/ , I wonder what it's for.
Oh wow, that's literally what they're calling it. Put on your tinfoil hats and lead underwear and guess what it is.
My guess is that it's the countdown to the nerfbomb they're going to be dropping on some of the new skills.
Just stole the Hand of Midas on floor 2 from Brax, using that glitch someone posted.
Damn, I'm good.
Huh, I wish I had enough money/even the ability to buy Conquest of the Wizardlands, but oh well, for now I gotta save money.
Either way, I don't see why they would add a countdown for something as normal as a few nerfs.
Does anyone else love when there's a wooden door with a robot behind it?
I layer every trap in my inventory in front of the door, then rocketfist the thing open from 3 spaces away.
It walks out and is instantly hit by poison, acid, fire, an explosion, blades, caltrops, and an antimagic field.

Same thing here, I want the DLC so badly.

OH GODDAMMIT.
if you leave something in a wizardland, and give the code to someone else, will the item you dropped still be there?
if you leave something in a wizardland, and give the code to someone else, will the item you dropped still be there?
No. You can only use codes once anyway.
The countdown is for their new thing called Project Odin, involving Dwarves and technology.
